We had a wonderful time. We would definitely stay there again.

Great location and great house for a family. Main floor was awesome for everyone to meet and hang out/place games and lower levels when you needed some privacy or peace away from others. Loved it!

House was comfortable, clean, and spacious for a large family with small kids and teenagers. Only issue we encountered was our car was stuck in the snow in front of the house and the property manager was more concerned with the parking rules than our sad situation. Dealing with a car stuck with small children is very stressful.
Overall, we had a great time. Tip: bring your own towels.

Our group of 10 people enjoyed staying in this house a lot! A few things that made this distinctive comparing to other places we stayed before:
* giant table in the living room to fit everyone
* 5 solid bedrooms, almost each having separate bathroom
* enormous variety of pots and pans to cook whatever you want
* separate game room with pool table, also crazy amount of board games
* hottub with forest view
We would definitely come again.

It was a great cabin. Lots to do to keep us and the teenagers busy. Lots and lots of games. There was some updates (ie. Some water damage in the master bathroom and grout needs a deep clean or redone) but otherwise a great cabin. Lots of room in the kitchen.
The only thing was is that the property management said there was a half bath upstairs on the main floor w the kitchen but there either was none or it was the door that was locked.

As always, we had a great time at Woodside Lodge (even with the off and on rain)! Ready to come back again next year!😊

Everyone in my family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was well stocked and clean without being too fussy so we could just relax and enjoy each other. We have not been together for four years so for all of us this was quite the treat. Hopefully we’ll be able to do it again in two years (summer 2025). Thank you for your attention to detail making our stay easy and care free… Sharon

We love this house because it is bright, open and comfortable, and has a game room downstairs with foosball and a pool table that our adult children and grandchildren love. It is extremely well-appointed and has every kitchen item anyone could want. This is important as we do all our own cooking. We love the spacious pantry and the extra refrigerator downstairs. I would make a few suggestions for the future - we could have used more bath towels. Duvet covers get dirty and it would be nice to have them washed after each use. A larger table that would seat 10 people on the deck would allow us to eat outside.
However, we had a wonderful experience and can't wait to come back!

THE WOODSIDE LODGE IS SPACIOUS, COMFORTABLE WITH SOME APPLIANCE UPGRADES NEEDED, BUT HAS IT ALL. IT IS A FAMILY COMPOUND WITH PLENTY OF OPEN SPACES.

This three story house with a large back lawn area was perfect for spreading out. The kitchen is very well equipped. The dryer was not heating properly, but we reported it and hopefully it has been repaired. We were close to hiking and beaches on the lake. I would definitely rent again.

The home is three stories high with 5 bedrooms. Plenty of privacy and space for all. Very well furnished to handle a large group.

Hello,
My family and I stayed at the Woodside Lodge from 09/08 - 09/12. We appreciated the openness of the house. The smoke from the mosquito fire was horrible and we had to stay inside with the windows closed. Thankfully, the house is very spacious and allowed us to be together or spread out.
Now for the issues we found:
The grill is unusable. One half of it is almost rusted through. The other side is suspect at best. We had to bake the meat we had brought to grill.
The railing on the top bunk of the bed to the left of the door is not attached. It freely moves and can be taken off.
The faucet in the kitchen is broken and leaking. There also appears to be a leak under the sink.
FYI: the remote on the 2nd floor needs batteries.

Enjoyed our stay! Have already booked for next year. Although we had problem with dish washer, someone was sent out same day to try to fix ( unable to do so, but gave additional time for checkout for compensation). Only other thing was no laundry soap provided (otherwise we would have done load of towels before we left). 😊

Best family accomodations we have stayed in. It is a bit pricey, but very family friendly. Two bedrooms have walk-in closets that are great for very young kids (babies) to sleep in.

This home is spacious, full of natural light, and big enough for our family of 10 to spread out and have some private space when needed. The game room is a plus for the kids. The kitchen is very well appointed and the pantry an added plus. We had a lovely stay.

Nothing can ever be perfect with a rental the size and age of Woodside Lodge. So, little problems and fix-its are always expected. But Tahoe Getaway staff will get back to their renters quickly to try to fix any problems. Their communication is excellent.
Mwanwhile, the size and location of Woodside Lodge are just perfect for my daily.

House nice, guest services ok, but not great.
I was disappointed and somewhat annoyed that things were not ready when we arrived. And then a 10am checkout was pressing. A lot of little amenities were lacking for an upscale experience. Will not use anything managed by this property management company.

Great place
Great place, had all essentials, well stocked kitchen. Hot tub was great. Would just recommend blankets/linens/towels are freshly cleaned. They smelled moldy, as if left in washer and dried up in there

Woodside Lodge
We had a wonderful stay. The three levels were perfect for our family. Ages 7 to 75 thoroughly enjoyed the setting, the game room and spa. It was a joy to be able to celebrate our 50 th with games and pool tournaments with the kids. The kitchen was set up perfectly for preparing our meals together. The location was close to Tahoe City and Meeks Bay beach and hiking trails. Our stay was perfect in every way.

Enjoyed our stay
The property was perfect for our group size (extended family - 4 households). It had plenty of room to spread out and have room for gathering as well as room for "me time", if needed. There was a variety of kitchen appliances and dishes for cooking - that was nice.
Unfortunately two bears (a mother and her cub) entered our rented vehicle the first morning and the door shut behind them. They were nice enough to honk the horn to let us know so we could open the door and let them out but not before they removed the inside door panel and part of the passenger seat! Insurance will cover that, however, and it made for quite a bit of excitement. No food was inside the car but the door was unlocked. Moving forward, car was secured in garage!!
We could have used bathmats in master bath and a couple of extra blankets. The AQI (in August) was horrific, but the air filter and fans inside the property were much appreciated. For that reason we kept windows and doors shut for the most part. The fires were too close this year but we got through our wedding event on the West Shore, without being evacuated. We will try to avoid visiting again in August.
Tahoe Getaways was great to work with us, as we moved our plans from August 2020 to June 2021 and finally to August 2021. Such a strange year with the Pandemic, but Tahoe Getaways was accommodating and our time spent with family in the area was precious. Next time, we hope to see clear blue skies and mountains across the lake!

Woodside Lodge at Chambers
Woodside Lodge is set up for a large family- plenty of towels, kitchen tools, playthings, beds, TV's, space. It is pricy for my world, but we cannot think about another place that fits our needs so well.
Thank you

Great Large Home
Woodside Lodge is a great, very large home that is conducive for two families. This was our second time renting it. There is plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen is very well stocked, except there were no dish towels which I found weird. In fact, bath towels were scarce as well. The house takes dogs, which is great for families with dogs. However, it is very noticeable that the area rug in the master has been peed on several times. So bad that I had to drag it outside for our stay. It should be removed permenately. Also, be prepared for some bear sightings, they were abundant in the area and came into the yard almost every night. I would definitely rent this home again if the rug/towel situation were taken care of.

Fun at Woodside Lodge
This home provided us with plenty of room for our combined family. We had privacy on each of our floors, but enjoyed our family time together also on the main floor. We took advantage of the game room ( my 10 year old granddaughter loved shooting pool), the spa, the barbecue and the beautiful (and private) backyard. We liked being in a quieter area, away from the crowds, but close enough to enjoy the lake and outdoors. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and are already planning for next year. 👍🤗

5 Star
We love this cabin and will most definitely be booking for next winter.
But just wanted to provide some recommendations:
Need better can opener - both do not work very well
Need cleaning supplies for the kitchen
Need more towels - maybe a separate set for hot tub use
Need the correct coffee filters - it uses the round style, not the cone style
Thanks!

We very much enjoyed our stay. The house was well equipped and so clean. Would definitely come back!
Also, I know you specifically mentioned not . being responsible for left chargers but my daughter thinks she left her apple laptop charger and is wondering if the cleaning crew found it. If so, please let me know and she will gladly pay for postage to return.
Thanks again!

Great stay!
My group had a wonderful stay at the Woodside Lodge! Loved the open layout of the main floor and how much privacy the other areas of the house had! Seamless check in and check out process. WiFi was pretty spotty, the router had to be restarted several times and it still had poor service. Other than that, we enjoyed every bit of our stay!

Very Spacious for Large Groups....Fabulous Kitchen!
My family loved this cabin! The cabin is laid out over three levels, which made it perfect for our group of three couples. We all had our own bedrooms and bathrooms to escape to if we needed a break from the group, lol. The combination kitchen and great room area is very spacious, which makes it the perfect place to gather to just hang out or play board/card games, etc. The great room opens up to the top deck where the hot tub is...this deck overlooks a lovely, and very private backyard. We very much enjoyed our morning coffee out on this deck every morning; the first morning we were surprised (but thrilled) to see a fairly large brown bear wandering around the lawn! The kitchen is probably the best stocked I have ever rented (and my family has been coming to Tahoe since the 60's) with plenty of pots, pans, plates, flatware, etc., to feed a good sized group. The one drawback we found, and it is simply the nature of cabins that contain multi-levels, is the noise level for the middle floor especially.(I slept on the top floor in the large master bedroom; this was 5 star all the way!) Other than making your cabin mates aware that the noise from the top floor travels down to the middle floor, not sure there is anything you can do....wood floors are going to creak. But the creaking was minor compared to all the other positives we found this cabin provided.....plenty of hot water for showers, a pool table and foos ball table (and a hot tub) for entertainment, television on every level, plenty of puzzles, board games, etc., and comfortable furniture and beds. It's obvious the owners of this beautiful cabin have gone out of their way to provide their guests with everything they need to truly have a marvelous vacation and that is exactly what my family did......we were extremely happy with the Woodside Lodge, and would definitely rent here again!

Spacious, Comfortable, and Well-Stocked!
My extended family had a wonderful week stay at the Woodside Lodge! This cabin is beautifully laid out, with three different levels....we had three different couples sharing the cabin, so this was perfect for us. Each level has it's own bedroom(s) and bath, so there was plenty of room and privacy, which we loved. The Great Room off the kitchen is a marvelous gathering place, and leads to a beautiful deck with a hot tub. The backyard is quite private, with no cabins behind you, so enjoying breakfast and our morning coffee on the top deck was a peaceful way to start our busy days. We had several 'foodies' in our group, and they loved how well supplied the kitchen was for preparing meals......lots of pots and pans, and plenty of dishes and flatware for serving. Another plus for us was the extra storage available in the kitchen dining area and pantry.....can never have enough storage! The only "drawback" to this cabin, and really, it is something that universally affects every multi-level cabin, is the noise level that exists for the people who sleep on the middle level.....the noise comes from walking around on the wood floors on the top floor, and other then asking your cabin roommates to be conscious of the noise level filtering down below, not sure there is anything to be done about this one annoyance. (I had the spacious master bedroom and bath on the top floor, which was 5 star all the way!) But we had a marvelous week here with beautiful weather as well, so we are all happy campers who would definitely rent here again!

Fantastic for family gathering
My cousin and her family, along with my family enjoyed this gorgeous property for four days and it was perfect. We were treated to the viewing of a giant bear in the backyard within the first hour of our arrival and found the place, spacious and comfortable. We will definitely rent again!!

Great amenities!
Our family loved staying at this home and would definitely return. The kitchen was better stocked than any other vacation home we have ever rented. It had tons of dishes, pots and pans, soap, clean sponges, even a hand mixer and a food processor. The view from every window was beautiful. It was very clean and we enjoyed the open floor plan that included the kitchen, dining area, and living room. There are a lot of stairs entering and inside the home, so that might be a concern to some. The reason I did not give 5 stars was because of the housekeeping service. When we arrived there were only 3 towels in the 5 bedroom 3 1/2 bath home. I found all the laundry for the entire house wet and in the dryer. Really it was about 4 loads of laundry stuffed into the dryer and laundry was downstairs, so I called the rental manager and asked they remedy the situation. They were very polite, and about an hour or so later someone came to pick up all the wet laundry and they delivered dry towels. It was somewhat of an inconvenience considering the price we paid for this property.

Spacious cabin with lots of extras
This cabin is great for large groups. Three floors gives enough space for everyone and gives adults some separation from kids! The kitchen is well stocked and there are tons of extra towels and bedding. The large windows in the main room offered a spectacular view of the snow and the extra refrigerator ensures you don't need extra coolers.
We encountered a couple issues. The heater makes a lot of noise and kept some of us up. The kids were especially freaked out. Also the bottom bedroom is a sweltering dungeon. It is so stuffy in there that my partner had to sleep on a couch instead.
Overall, our stay was very enjoyable and we would return (without staying in the bottom bedroom).

House is spacious and beautiful, in a great neighborhood, and as advertised
Family Christmas 2018 in the Woodside lodge was a good one. House was very large, roomy, but also felt like home. Lots of Beds and Baths, stocked well. The only reason why I did not give a 5 star was for the following, however not a deal breaker by any means.
Sleeping was a little difficult, house has a lot of noises from heaters. Pots and pans are needed of replacing, could not even fry an egg proper, but no worries we just went and bought a few for ourselves. for 5 day stay, and 12 people , not enough trash disposal. Luckily we brought a utility trailer and hauled our own trash away.
Like I said, nothing crazy, and nothing that took away from our Tahoe experience, House is very nice, water pressure is very good in showers. Entertaining was a breeze the way the house is set up. Dining table was large enough for all of us, two Refrigerators so no problem with food storage. You definitely get your workout in with the house being 3 levels, and steps to the front entrance.
To the owners of property, thank you for allowing us to spend time in Tahoe, to the Managers, any request was met in a timely manner, and thank you.
Merry Christmas

Reviewer Comments:
The woodside lodge was a very nice place. It had plenty of room for my family. The kitchen was updated, the living area was comfortable as so were the beds. The only downfall was if you were on the second or third floor you could hear every one walking around on the top floor. Other than that I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice place to stay.
