About this house rental
Cozy Cottage has everything you and your family need for a relaxing getaway, featuring a renovated 3 bedroom/2 bathroom house on a private 0.8 acre wooded lot with a 180 ft. waterfront and a spectacular panoramic view of the cove and lake. It has a well stocked kitchen, dishwasher, washer & dryer, 3 cable flat screen TVs, and Wi Fi internet access. There is a spacious living area and an enclosed porch and a large deck with a gas grill and an extra propane tank.
It also features a fire pit,
a picnic table, a sand beach, 3 kayaks, an excellent swimming area and a great cove for water skiing, tubing, sailing, boating, and fishing.

Much larger than photos show. Very nice. Clean. And private beach and dock

When we arrived the freezer was gushing out ice into the main draw - I telephoned left message - they rang back and said they were getting a new one the week after we leave. So freezer was hard to use and fridge was freezing things also.
The dishwasher was very old, tired and noisy.
The stove was old and had seen better days. I purchased new baking trays to use in the oven as the old ones there had also seen better days.
There were only 3 odd mugs - If there had been 4 people it would have been a problem. We purchased new mugs. All the glasses were plastic and old. They were a milky color where they had been in the dishwasher too many times.
We purchased some ‘glass’ wine glasses and tumblers.
The bathrooms needed an overhaul. The lever you pull up to put the plug down was rusty and broken.
Outside the BBQ was unusable. The rungs inside were completely rusted and unless there were very busy spiders making webs in a day I would say it hadn’t been used this year. It was covered in cobwebs.
For the money we paid we expected better utilities.
Having said this, the location could not be faulted. It was beautiful. I just wish the cabin had matched the location.

We only live 1.5 hr away but wanted to stay on the lake with a ramp and deck. We had a little challenge in turning the truck/boat trailer but was able to launch easily. We traveled with our dog who thoroughly enjoyed playing on the beach. It was nice to have a great vacation where we could use our own boat and bring the pooch! And it didn’t require several hours of driving!

What a wonderful time my wife and I had with our Lab Maximus. Between relaxing on the porch to renting a Pontoon, we managed to just get away for a week of rest and recharge. Thank you so much for your hospitality. Maximus really enjoyed the Lake Life.

Everything was as described. A great place for a family getaway. Had a problem with getting on the wi-fi. Was sent the wrong sign in code. After calling the Vbro that was resolved. Also TV in master bedroom does not have a remote for the tv. The house was pretty clean except for the oven does need cleaning. Also does need to update to a Kerig coffee make. Did not have a can opener.
Overall I would give it 4 stars.

If you are looking for a place that’s right on the lake, BEST VIEWS, and easy access to everything THIS IS THE PLACE! This place was so perfect for my family; especially with my mom not being able to walk very well and my brother being in a wheelchair. This place was right on the lake so getting by both my mom and brother to the water was so easy.
Do not let the house fool you, yes it is on the older side but the location is where it’s at! The house has plenty of space and more than enough to enjoy your stay and it’s so homey and comfortable. This was an amazing trip and I know it wouldn’t have been so perfect without a great location and host!

We love Cozy Cottage! It is perfect for my husband, myself, and our 2 dogs. The cottage has everything you need. We love that the property has a great deck with a view of the lake, a dock for fishing and it's own boat ramp! This was our third stay and it did not disappoint. We will be back!

From the view of the lake to the fully equipped home, this lake house invited us to relax and unplug from the stress of everyday life from the moment we stepped onto the property. We brought our boat and launched it from the ramp located right on the property, and we loved exploring the lake, coming back to enjoy a fire by the lake, and cooking dinner on the grill fully equipped with enough propane to last our entire visit. Instructions sent by the owner were clear, and we were left alone to enjoy our time while knowing the owner was only a text away if we needed anything.
This was the first of hopefully many trips back to this hidden gem! On a scale of 1 to 10, we give this spot an 11!

We had a great time staying with friends at the cute and cozy cottage. We had a small boat that we docked right on the site. The guys were able to catch fish and we cooked them up.

This was a great place to stay for a fishing trip. Clean and quiet. Most comfortable bed I’ve slept in for a while! Only downside was the very tight turn around for a truck and boat trailer. Neighbors not neighborly when it came to their driveway for turning around. But there was a location close to get it done. Overall I would definitely recommend. Great for vacation or weekend getaway on the water.

The purpose of the stay was due to repairs at home. It served the purpose well. Being cold weather, we did not get to enjoy the water but the view was nice.The first night there was a problem with the heat but it was quickly repaired the next day. The property manager kept us well informed during the repairs.

Very good communication between the owner and us prior to our stay about an issue of the roads, he accommodated us and was very informative. House was clean and comfortable. Our dogs loved playing in the lake and the view was beautiful to wake up to. Would definitely recommend staying here if you want access to the water and a relaxing setting.

Although one bathroom is a bit dated, everything else is fine (not fancy). The weather didn’t cooperate for us to enjoy the outdoors much but for anyone wanting a quiet, water frontage property w kayaks and a dock…this is perfect.

Kinda expected it to be a little shabby (towel bar falling off wall, rub rails falling off dock, etc), but was really surprised at how dirty the place was. Sand on the floors and furniture. Two of the made beds were dirty and had sand on the sheets. Pulled a pizza cutter from the drawer that was covered in grease and cheese. Found multiple dirty dishes put away in the cabinet. Found a half eaten granola bar on the floor in one bedroom and a tobacco spit jar under the bed in the other. We got in a little late and spent our first night cleaning just to get the place minimally acceptable for family we had coming the next day. Not how anyone wants to spend a vacation. Another point of real concern was just the rooms designated bedrooms. Two of the three didnt have code compliant egress windows. One was a laundry room with a bed in it. No smoke detectors in any bedrooms, just one in the hall which appeared to be non functional.
I like the location, but couldnt recommend tbe house to anyone.

This little cottage by the lake was just what we needed. The location was awesome and we were able to unload and load our boat at the property. It also had a great place for my grandchildren to swim and play. We also had some family to come and visit one of the nights and they also loved it. My uncle is battling cancer and really doesn't have a lot of strength in his legs right now, but the lot was so perfect that he could walk down to the waters edge and we put a fishing pole in his hands and let him sit there and fish. He has not quit talking about it. All in All we were very satisfied with the house and where it was located. I hope that we can find the time to come back next year.

My family and I celebrated our Dad’s 60th birthday at the cottage and it was perfect for the 4 of us. We brought our fishing boat and the boat ramp is so nice and perfectly located. If you’re wanting to get away and have a cove to yourself this is the place for you! We had such a wonderful time and we will be back soon!

Overall it was a nice visit. Loved the property and outdoor areas. We are outdoor activities people and that was the main draw. Inside is very dated and the only reason for my rating on cleanliness was actually the bugs inside the home. A lot of drain flies in the kitchen/bath areas and you really couldn’t get rid of them - though there did seem to be some attempts made. Overall a nice stay and would probably stay here again if we go back to the general area.

This property is in the perfect location with great access to the lake. The house, however, does need some work is in disrepair a little small for more than two people but very cozy. Owner was very nice and easy to contact great for people with a boat or JetSki’s it rained our whole time so we did not get much more time.

Cozy cottage is a fitting description. We felt comfortable, safe and enjoyed the peaceful environment at the lake during our relocation to NC. The cottage felt like home away from home and provides a relaxing atmosphere.
We are already talking about coming back in the summer for a real R&R vacation.
Host was easy to reach for questions and wonderful to work with.
Cottage was clean and although on the smaller side, the layout and space is very efficiently layed out and provides a sense of comfort.
Would definitely recommend to other guests.

We enjoyed our stay. Great Lake access with beach for the kids and dog, dock and boat ramp in yard. We enjoyed the fire pit by the beach. Would stay here again when visiting family and friends in Lake Norman area.

This property is more than it's description. It was the perfect place for my husband and I, our boat, and 2 dogs. Very quiet and secluded. Everything was perfect from the fully stocked house, sandy beachfront, dock, private boat ramp on site, kayaks, fire pit and deck with beautiful views. When visiting Lake Norman, this is the only place we will stay.
