Thank you for letting us stay at your place. The place is as described in the pictures. Clean and in good condition. Even dough there is no formal kitchen, we were able to prepare some breakfast every morning. All the pans and utensils are provided. Very cozy and quiet all the time. The only issue is that there is no central a/c and not all the rooms have portable a/c but they all have ceiling fun. Thanks God it wasn't too hot by the time we were there. Mike the manager a very nice man, was very helpful and available all the time need. Enjoyable and peaceful time in your place. Thank you very much!

Read all reviews before booking~ The very nice property manager left a message that the house was ready and A/C had been turned on before our arrival. Upon arrival, entry was in the back of the house through a bedroom. There were instructions not to use the main house entrance because the door does not function properly. The A/C for this property consists of one central A/C vent in the hallway. There is no central A/C service to any of the rooms. There were portable A/C units in two of the four bedrooms and one in the living room. These units were dumping as much heat into the rooms as it was trying to cool, which means they should have been vented to the outside but were not. The unit in the master was overheating and the power cord was very hot. We contacted the property manager who offered to bring over an extra portable AC and a fan. As we looked around the house for solutions to work with the portable units, we noted the few outlets in each of the rooms were loaded with extension cords. (I missed a prior review with similar complaint noting extensive discussion with electrician about the age of the electrical wiring). Some of the windows had been propped open with wooden dowels likely to help with cooling the house. We also found a propane tank for the gas grill inside one of the bedroom closets, why inside the house??
We messaged the property owner with no response and stayed at a hotel instead.

We honestly love staying at this location, every year our youth ask if we are going to stay at the same house that we go to. It is such a comfortable residence and having a gate is very nice so that we don't have to worry about anyone being there that doesn't need to be there. I cannot recommend this place anymore if you are looking for a place to stay.

The home was just as described. Very roomy for our entire family.
The location was great for trips to Old Town and the Balloon Fiesta being right off the highway. Everything was close. Quick walk to Starbucks for coffee. The Range restaurant was right across the street for breakfast or lunch.
Getting used to the highway noise took a few days. But not too bad.
Check in process didn't work and had to make a call to the owner. She fixed right away.
There was NO internet as stated. But the owner worked very hard to get it restored while we were there. But to no avail.
I knew before hand there was no kitchen. But for as many days as we were there it was very inconvenient. We made do.
Private parking with a locked gate was nice.
I would have rated 5 stars if the internet would have worked and had a better kitchen.

They were told they could check in - and the house was totally in a state of disarray and not clean. The group had to search for other housing, and were able to get a hotel.

The property managers were very nice and efficient. The lock pad was broken and we had difficulty time getting back into the home after leaving and coming back. There is not a full kitchen.. otherwise our trip was good

Our stay in this home was comfortable and exactly what we needed for our family of 11
Secure parking with plenty of space, home was well organized and accommodating. Although t close to I40, no concerns with noise or privacy.

Safety Concerns
Entering the property was a little off-putting as it is a big empty gravel lot that has a chain lock on it. It is located at the direct corner of a freeway and a main street, where normally a gas station would be. We could have google earthed, but we did not.
The home is lovely, well taken care of. Old, but still nice. AC is selective in the house. We turned the one in the master on and power went out on that side of the house. Spent hot night. Next night we spent 2 hours with electricians telling us how old the wiring is. No smoke detectors in any of the bedrooms. Very hard to sleep comfortably in a home with questionable electrical (verified by the electrician we spent time with on our vacation) and no smoke detectors.

The property is older but is well taken care off.
This property is older but well taken care of. Although there is not an official kitchen there are sufficient appliances to allow for a meal to be made and a rather large dining area.
The location, for us, was close to our destination (Albuquerque Sports Complex) but it appears that this part of town is a bit sketchy with lots of homeless walking around.
The only issues we had were the entrance to the property opens right into a bedroom which was inconvenient and left privacy for that room a bit uncomfortable. The heating for this particular bedroom and the room that has the three beds were much colder than the rest of the house but lots of blankets in the closet to help stay warm.
If going back, would stay here again if going to someplace close to the property

Comfortable but concerning
The house was clean and well furnished. The only air conditioner that works well is the one in the sunken in bedroom area. The other air units only keep you tolerably cool. The first night we were there we had a knock on our door at midnight. It was a homeless man asking for water. At 3am the next morning we were woke by a loud crash. Someone had crashed a car across the street, bashed in the window and was running from the car as we watched from the window. The last 3 nights were, fortunately, uneventful.

We enjoyed the house but a prior guest may have hidden food in between paper plates in kitchen
This is a nice property and fit our needs very well -- enough beds and two bathrooms. I could not tell from description before renting that there was no full kitchen -- probably my bad but, I do like to cook so I missed having a full kitchen and instead had a small kitchenette. Maybe I should have read the description more closely. Overall, this property was good for our needs and we felt comfortable there.

Good value for the price.
The interior is attractive and comfortable with plenty of bed spaces. The Location next to the freeway, while great for getting around town, was pretty noisy with frequent sirens. For the price, we thought it was a good value.

Buffet with electric appliances not working - need new electric strip.

3 Traveling Women Forced to Give 5 Stars
If you enjoy the idea of a vacation in a sketchy neighborhhood with a homeless camp close by then Rose Bungalow is the place for you. There is easy access to the freeways....Route 66 practically runs through the living room and right outside your other living room window is a gas station. There's no need for fancy artwork. The cracks in the walls and water damaged bubbled ceilings and walls give it lots of character. The bedroom windows have big hoses through them for some kind of cooler on the dressers. Then there are pieces of wood on the windows but I think the security company stickers on the windows are supposed to ward off any break ins. The backyard had a little BBQ but the old tire and hubcap on the patio and yard took away the charm. They might have flown off of a car from the freeway above the house. The caretaker was kind enough to warn us which streets close by were to be avoided and to make sure we locked our car in the enclosed area so it wouldn't get broken into. Once contacted the owner tried to give us ideas on how to spend our time - like calling the police on the homeless camp but we were busy cleaning up dog pee in the living room from the caretaker's dog and washing drinking glasses before they could be used. We left after our first night of which we paid for 3 and went to a hotel. I sent the owner the pictures of our complaints and a follow up text but haven't heard from her. They must have had a fabulous photographer for the house pictures because they do not truly reflect the tone of the home. One of the women I was with described it as more of a frat house where her 20 year old son would love to come with his friends. The owner did say that if I wasn't happy with the location of the bungalow I should have Google Earthed it before renting. Although I have never been disappointed before - even in Europe - I will take her up on the suggestion from now on. She also told me I could only give her property a 5 star review. I hope I am doing it justice.

Odd property and location, but lots of sleeping space
This is an interesting house in an unfortunate location - right on a busy street, next to a gas station and the highway. It's convenient, but noisy. While there are charming original architectural details and decor in some rooms, others feel like awkward additions. The house itself is unusual. As the description states, there is no kitchen, but plenty of bedrooms. For the number of guests it sleeps, there is a lack of comfortable seating options - only a sectional sofa and dining room chairs. The two small bathrooms had balky plumbing. On the upside, the beds are comfortable and attractively made, and we enjoyed the easy access to Old Town and the freeways.

Awesome spot close to old town.
The house was our jumping off point for exploring old town and some local hikes.
The house is huge and had plenty of room for my large family. Cool vintage place with tons of parking. The house has a nice separation from adjoining neighbors which was great as we had a birthday party and didn't have to worry about noise.
Range restaurant next door is tasty too!

Great Home. We would stay here again for sure! Cozy and convenient.
Overall, this was a wonderful home. Location, layout, access, security, parking, decor all excellent. There were a couple minor issues that will be easy to rectify: there are beds for 6 people. The towels provided were inadequate as there were only 5 towel sets, total, easy to fix that. Five people on a 5 day stay need a few more towels and wash cloths. There were a few cosmetic issues with the ceiling and wall in one area, just cosmetic, and could probably be fixed fairly easily. We would stay here again, for sure!!! Great communication and a really great property. We rate it 4.8 (out of 5) overall.

Location!
I guess I am just a location person!. I have stayed in several of this owner's homes throughout the west. They are always in great shape and the manager is easy to work with and very helpful. This home is no different. Great one story layout, easy to use and just a couple blocks from Old Town! Although there is not a full kitchen, this is very well disclosed, its easy to fix a simple breakfast or lunch at the home, and its so close to great restaurants. Wonderful place!

Clean and nice location by the freeway!
We stopped in Albuquerque on a cross country drive and this little house was clean with a fenced in area for our kids and dogs to stretch their legs. Right by the freeway and close to Old town where there was plenty of delicious Mexican food.

Quaint, Easy to Access
This is a cute little home that is right off the highway making it a nice stop off point along our trip. We stayed the weekend. Had plenty of parking and were very close to restaurants. Had a nice fenced in area in the back for parking and we played some ball games back there which was nice to get energy out. There was a very large dining table perfect for playing games and we felt cozy and comfortable our entire stay.
