About this house rental
We were excited to recently purchase this ranch-style home on a quiet country road. Kris' father built this home in 1966, so we were thrilled to bring it back it into the family. We gutted the home in 2017 and have completely remodeled it and furnished it with new furniture, new beds, new linens and new supplies in order to provide you with a comfortable, relaxing haven to recharge during your vacation time in Garrett County.
Our goal is provide a place to bring your family to enjoy each other and create memories that will last a lifetime. You will find a swing set, foosball game, badminton/volleyball set, spike ball, t-ball, bocce ball, ladder golf, table games, etc to enjoy together. Bikes are available for use as well We are also minutes from the ski slopes, state parks, Deep Creek Lake, Swallow Falls, etc. Foxtown Road is great for biking, running, etc.
Rental includes a free pass to the CARC less than 10 minutes away with a heated pool, gym and fitness center. Please bring towels if you would like to use the pass.
Accommodations include two king bed, a queen, bunk bed (single over queen), day bed with trundle, roll-away bed and a couch with a pull-out bed. There is a flat screen TV in the living room, family room and two bedrooms
Corby does custom woodworking and created a number of pieces which grace the home including a 11-foot farm table in the large open dining room.
A beautiful stone fireplace, part of the original house and built by Kris' father, is the center piece of the living room.
The kitchen is fully furnished with cooking and eating utensils, toaster, crockpot, blender, mixer, griddle for pancakes, sugar, salt, some basic spices, etc. A coffee maker and grinder is furnished as well with an option for Keurig style coffee. A gas grill is available
Linens are included in the rental fee. Paper towels and toilet paper will also be available

All I have to say is Wow! This place had everything we needed. The property was awesome. The kids loved playing outside on the tree swing, the playset in the back, and the adults had a great time talking every night around the fire pit. They had every kind of outside toy/games to play. We sat outside every morning and listened to the birds.
Inside the house was awesome too. There was a playroom off of the side of the kitchen away from the bedrooms and a garage with all kinds of toys for little people and big people.We loved the opened floor plan. The kitchen was very well furnished with everything you need and more. We loved the huge farmhouse table that sat us all. The bedrooms were very spacious with really cool decor. The pool pass was and added amenity. The location was close to all of the attractions. We all loved this place and will definitely stay again. The host greeted us with a smile and a treat and was always available. Very responsive.
We’ve stayed at many rentals anfythis was by far the best place for our big multigenerational family. Thank you for a great week.

We have stayed here twice now and really enjoyed it both times. It's about 10 minutes away from the lake and all the restaurants, activities, etc. but the extra seclusion is actually really nice and the drive isn't bad at all. The home is well-stocked, beautiful, updated, clean and had all the kids activities you could ask for...these folks know how to be great hosts! We stayed at a lot of VRBO properties and this is by far the best....great communication, so friendly and helpful!
The only downside is that it only has two bathrooms which is fine and totally workable given the lower price point - my only feedback to work around this is you could hang a couple more mirrors in bedrooms so people can get ready and do makeup there? Just an idea!
Overall, we LOVE this home and all its amenities and the beautiful, secluded location. It feels like you're in a cabin in the middle of the woods and yet not far at all from everything. The pool passes are a nice extra as well!

We had a wonderful stay! Kris welcomed us upon our arrival to provide insight on the property and was a pleasure to work with. The home is exceptionally clean, well stocked with all the amenities and a variety of indoor and outdoor activities that the kids loved! If you’re looking for a family friendly rental, this is the place! No stairs to worry about, ample yard space away from the road, a swing set, a variety of bed options to fit your needs, and overall a quiet area that is easily accessible to all of the activities Deep Creek offers. If we make the trip again, we will certainly rebook!

We loved sitting around the campfire, playing games inside and out, watching a pileated woodpecker nest, swimming at the CARC, and local attractions. We would definitely come here again!

This house was great. It had games and bikes for the kids to go on rides with and tucked far enough away from the busy streets to be safe. The bedrooms were nice and the big backyard with firepit was a big hit with us.

A very quiet and cozy home. Well stocked with plenty of towels, choice of pillows (short or tall), quality toilet paper and paper towels. The kitchen had every utensil or appliance we needed and much more. Great for families with younger kids. Our children loved the backyard playground.

Everything was amazing, the home was so beautiful and clean. Everything you needed was in the home from coffee to soap shampoo conditioner dish liquid everything. Very rustic and designed very well. Easy to get to.

WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY! This home went above and beyond our expectations and was fully stocked with everything you could possible need for a relaxing and fun filled vacation! We felt right at home as soon as we walked in the house. The house was very clean and every detail in the house was gorgeous. There was plenty of room for our group with the large family room/dining area. The dining room table was able to seat all of us which made it nice for playing games and sharing meals together. The woodwork, fireplace, and decor in the home made it so cozy. The owner was very friendly, quick to respond, and added personal touches (well stocked and clean amenities, delicious cinnamon rolls, cozy atmosphere) that made the stay even more special. The kids toys and outdoor playhouse was a big hit with my two young children and the adults loved the fire pit and lighted gazebo. We look forward to visiting this property again. This was an unforgettable Friendsgiving filled with fun and memories!

Once again we absolutely loved and enjoyed our stay. The house is always very clean and beautifully decorated. There are two living rooms and lots of dining room space where we did puzzles and crafts. Highly recommend.

As a sibling/spouse retreat of 7 adults, this rental was a great fit for us. We found a creative environment with lots to do for all ranges of interest, from outdoor firepit-sitting, gazebo time, corn hole, and bike riding, to indoor table games and puzzles or relaxing around the fireplace.
The kitchen was well equipped and roomy enough for several cooks to be working at once. Linens and towels were excellent quality and well stocked. For those of us who have scent sensitivity, it was a welcome plus that the linens were not strongly scented.
The decor was comfortable, interesting, and pleasing to the eye. We loved the open design of the main living areas that we could be doing separate activities and still be together, yet there was a game room where someone could go for privacy or other activities if they chose.
The few hiccups that we had were met with fantastic customer satisfaction that was beyond expectation.
We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked another getaway at this rental.

Loved our stay! The house was beautifully decorated and the outdoor space was great for spending quality time with the family around the fire pit or for some yard games. The host was very responsive and met with us at check in to just go over stuff to make our stay as comfortable as can be. Brought us some delicious cinnamon rolls for us to enjoy welcome us as well.The location was great. Will definitely be back again!

This property is perfect for those who like quiet and privacy. Plenty of room for a large family. The kitchen was nicely stocked and the cinnamon rolls were so good. Very close to the lake and other activities. We loved the fire pit area and enjoyed a fire every night of our stay. Beautifully decorated.

This property was perfect in every way! Everything was decorated beautifully and clean. The home was well stocked with absolutely everything we could ask for - from starter toiletries to games (indoor and out) and movies to kitchen essentials to laundry needs, etc. We felt blessed to have the opportunity to stay this past weekend, and we hope to visit again in the future.

Our group was larger group with some of us coming from farther distances. With that in mind, this place did not disappoint. A larger and spacious driveway for all the cars, moderately secluded for privacy, and lovely patio/firepit out back too. The house itself had lots of room and plenty of space for everyone. Cooking utensils, supplied garbage bags, and other cleaning materials made everything that much better and more convenient overall. Host was helpful and very hospitable. Everyone had a great time and we were all in agreeance that we'd 100% come back in the future.

This is a very warm, clean home in a quiet and peaceful location. It was far enough out but only approx 15 from the lake! Everything you need for a home away from home stay. We had 7 adults and our 11 month old granddaughter. Very comfortable beds and a fully stocked kitchen! Loved the outdoor games and the toys. We will definitely be back! We even had a friendly cat that would visit us. We saw deer and heard a great horned owl. Loved the outdoor patio and fire pit. The front swing was used a lot! Thank you so much for sharing your home so we can make family memories!

Our 9 grandchildren had the time of their lives as well as their parents. We enjoyed watching all the fun and participated when we wanted! This place was like our home away from home! It was a warm home atmosphere that was the basis of great family bonding! Not far from the lake but secluded enuf that we didn’t worry about the kids. Our 8 yo grandson was crying bec he didn’t want to leave. That says it all!!! Hope to be back again!

My family absolutely loved this house! It has everything you could need and more. There are amazing outdoor and indoor games and toys for the whole family. The kids loved the swing set ! The location is convenient to all activities in deep creek but provides a more private setting that is very peaceful !

The house was awesome! Enough space for everyone in my group, fully stocked kitchen, and different games for the whole family. The details of the house were just so beautiful. The host was super nice, she brought us the best cinnamon rolls!! We will definitely come back here, it is convenient if you want to go to deep creek lake, everything was perfect!

I have been to DCL many times and this was my favorite property. Great accessibility for my 91 year old grandma, fully stocked, very friendly owner who brought us yummy cinnamon rolls!

We planned this trip when I was 7 months pregnant and my son is now 6 months old. Our group of friends and my family had so much fun! It was honestly so amazing we would love to make it an annual trip we eventually bring all our children to. This is such a warm home to stay in.

We had a wonderful stay. Our friends/family played football out front. There was so much for us to do at the house and it was well stocked and some. We had a little mishap and I texted the owner right away and all was fine. It was one of the better friendcations we have been on. Thank you for letting us stay in your home. (The details all around the home were noticed and appreciated) *Master bathroom gave us idea for our bathroom. Lol

We love this house! We have some older adults, so having everything on one floor is perfect. The fireplace was in use all weekend, so we were cosy even though it was freezing outside.

This was our second stay, and it was perfect as always. Everything about the place is great - the decor, the cleanliness, the friendly host, the relaxing atmosphere, etc. My kids (6 and 4) love the toy/play room, and the swing set. Another great perk to the place is that it comes with a pass to a nearby gym/indoor pool. We will undoubtedly keep returning year after year. It truly feels like our home away from home, and visits here are quickly becoming our family tradition. Thank you!

This house is a diamond in the ruff. We have stayed at this location 4 years now and it never gets old. It is close to the resort and shopping venues. It is very well kept and updated. Love the new patio out back with the fire pit and the new walkway out front. Again no need to look any further. We can't wait till next year......
