About this villa rental

This is a wonderful first floor unit with 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. 1000 square feet of space. Hardwood floor in living, dining and kitchen area. Tile in bathrooms and foyer. Carpet in bedrooms. Free WIFI, HD cable TV and phone line! Linens for all beds are included with bathing linens. You have 7 outdoor pools to choose from, all having restrooms located at each. It's only a 1 mile drive to the ocean, 1/2 mile drive to broadway at the beach. You are at the center of it all! You are also within a mile or so of the Cal Ripken's baseball experience! 2 awesome golf courses located on the property. You can't go wrong staying here!

Let's start off with the fact i never received the check instructions until a hr after getting there and calling vrbo because i couldn't get in. That was issue #1 lack of communication. The 2nd issue when i got in after a hr and half after driving 7hrs was i looked around the unit. I found mold in everything that had glass just about. The sliding door the 2 bedrooms. I don't know how no one else haven't checked or noticed it but i did. With me having asthma i wasn't staying there Ofcourse once i reached out to VRBO the owner started calling my phone now. He sends his cleaning lady which she arrives with a bottle of tilex. She sees the mold everywhere but she wants to spray this strong stuff so she can get paid sure knock yourself out. At that point i was over this rental and they found me another place to stay. All i can say is beware the rules for renting was nit followed and the moisture will definitely be a issue if the issue is not fixed. Good luck but I'm not recommending this location. It definitely was a waste and it messed up my whole trip. I am not happy about this whole situation. I have 35 pictures to upload if i can about this property.

My family and I want to thank Mr. & Mrs. Barber for their hospitality in sharing their beautiful Condo. We come from NY and it truly feels wonderful to be treated with genuine and humble kindness. Although when we went the week of 08/03-08/10 we hit an ugly storm where it rained every single day all day long , the home was so cozy and we had the best time . We look forward to our next family vacation next year . Thank you all so much !

We had events planned from North Myrtle to Murrels Inlet and this condo is located right in the middle of everything. Great full kitchen and TWO full baths. Would definitely use again.

Beautiful property, very clean and fresh smelling, great location- close to everything we wanted to do. Beds with the exception of one are very high and a challenge for shorter folks or folks with mobility issues. TVs in the bedrooms did not work, TV in living room had five remotes on the coffee table and no direction as to how to operate (we figured it out). Ice maker did not work, owner offered to send someone over but we declined as it was not that important to us Overall, it was an enjoyable week. Perhaps better communication with the renters in the future could address some of the little things we ran into that we had not encountered before with a VRBO rental

Although I didn't get to stay the whole time, while there it was quiet and very convenient to everything I needed. Communicated with the owner upon arrival about a minor thing and they were very responsive (like 5 minutes!). The appliances are a little dated but for me no problem. Hope to stay there again if Matthew and Julie will allow.

We traveled from Pennsylvania to SC. Our stay at this home was great. The house was clean and well kept. We had the use of all pools, which was fun. The surrounding area was also great and a huge plus. The beach was super close. You won’t runout of things to do. We will definitely be going back. KJ

The apartment was nice and roomy. Had 2 beds and 2 baths. We had access to the pool and were very close to both North and South Myrtle Beach. We had a great time, and the owners were very helpful when I had questions. Thank you.

I came down with my mom daughter and two young grandchildren ages 3 and 2. The place was perfect for us. All the furniture was comfortable. Everything was clean. My grandson really liked the patio even picked his seat as soon as we got there he would run his monster trucks out there and it was nice that it was fenced in we didn’t have to worry about him taking off. The pool was just a short walk across parking lot and behind the other building everyone loved how quiet it was around us and that the pool was never crowded. If you love the beach like we do it was maybe a 10 minute drive straight down public parking was all up and down so was able to find parking and again the beach wasn’t crowded. Thanks again for having our family we would stay again

3.5 Stars. Had a nice stay, location is great, close to everything Myrtle Beach. Appartment overall needs some updating and maintenance (towel rack coming out of wall, chipping paint in bathrooms, broken blinds & lamp shade, etc) TV cords in bedroom unsafe for young children. Easy and convenient check in and check out process. Overall decent value for the price.

The only complaint was when the cushions were removed from the sleeper sofa there were copious amount of cracker crumbs that we had to clean up before using. I guess the previous renter didn't want to throw her out for eating crackers.

We had a nice visit the condo was clean enough but not perfect. The appliances are dated and worn. The condo is not close to the beach at all but the golf course is right next door and the pool is close by condo gets a 4 star. My problem is with the owner the dishwasher overflowed in the condo and I let him know and he accused me of miss using the dishwasher it’s old you just shut the door and turn the knob to start….not rocket science. The disturbing part is during our messaging this man referred to me using a name that only my family calls me and no where in our correspondence did I ever use that name but somehow this person knew the name my family called me in this condo and he addressed me by that name in a message. I’ve asked for an explanation but he’s gone silent after he tried to bill my credit card extra for his dishwasher leaking onto his floor. I’m still trying to figure out how he knew the name my family called me, it’s made me very nervous and all I can say is Beware!

The clean up ladies need to clean a little better. Both bathrooms had soap scum in the tub faucet area really bad. in the other bathroom with the slide door was really nasty. It hasn't been clean in a long time the track on the shower door was off but, my Husband fixed it. They only left 2 towels for us for the 5 nights we were there. The Sofas were worn out. Both need to be replaced. On top of the Freg. was Nasty. I know they couldn't see on top but my husband could and said it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Other than that we were good. Thanks!

We stayed at the unit for one week on a golfing trip and it's a mixed experience. The pros: The location is great, central to everywhere we would like to go. The deco is homey and the porch is nice. There are four of us and the unit feels quite spacious. The cons: If you like opening the windows to let the fresh air in like we do, you will find very dusty windows behind the blinds, as if it's been years since anyone pulls up the blinds. The stove has a clean surface but was very greasy underneath the electric coil. The first time we used the stove the smoke came up from the grease due to the heat. One other review commented on how uncomfortable the mattresses are (too soft), which every one of our family agrees. (So be aware if you don't like soft mattresses.) And we didn't find a hair dryer in the unit so had to buy one ourselves. I should also mention that the owner has very strict rules on check-in/out times. I requested to check out at 11:30 am instead of 10 am, which the owner denied, citing the need to clean the unit for the next renter. However, one other reviewer mentioned when the cleaning lady allowed them to check-in early they were still chastised by the owner for going into the unit early. So it seems that they are just very strict regardless.

My daughter is a freshman on the Chanticleer Girl Dance Team at CCU. Needless to say, we make a lot of trips to MB and I’ve stayed at a lot of condos and hotels. This time we had a lengthy stay so she could dance at basketball games before the dorms opened. I will never stay anywhere other than this condo again. I have never felt more comfortable than I have here. The location is perfect for us - we can be at CCU in 20 minutes, at Broadway in 5, and sitting on the sand in about 5. Having had a total knee replacement the first floor unit was fantastic. I had a bit of car trouble and thought I may have to stay longer and the owner was extremely understanding and accommodating. I have never stayed anywhere where I felt so at home. I will definitely be back.

We booked last minute for several days while we were waiting to close on our new house downstate. The owner was quick to respond and let us book last minute. The condo was clean and nicely appointed. The location is convenient to stores, the beach and Broadway at the Beach. For the price, I think you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck and would definitely consider staying here again. My only complaint is the mattresses were very uncomfortable and two of them were quite high off the ground as well.

Our family enjoyed our stay at this lovely condo! It felt like a home away from home. My oldest walked in and said "Oh, so cozy!." We loved the back patio and indoor pool. We will definitely be keeping this on our list for our next visit to Myrtle Beach, SC.
