Welcome to Homestead Farm South. We are located in the Blue Ridge Mountain community of Pisgah Forest, only four miles from the entrance to the Pisgah National Forest and just ten minutes from the town of Brevard and the Brevard Music Center. Nearby sites include Sliding Rock, Looking Glass Falls, and the Cradle of Forestry. Also nearby is the Dupont State Forest, including Hooker, High, and Triple Falls. Other area sites include Biltmore Estate, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Carl Sandburg's historic home, and Flat Rock Playhouse.

If you are tired of tiny hotel rooms with heat and air that are impossible to set, noisy halls, the trip to the Laundromat when you'd rather be sight-seeing, having to eat every meal out, not having a place to store the fish you just caught, and all the other things you dread about a vacation, then this is the place for you. Leave home without leaving the comforts of home!

We offer a one bedroom, one full bath with tub / shower combination unit, air conditioned suite in an upstairs apartment with a private entrance that accommodates up to two adults and two children. The apartment has a fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom, washer and dryer, living room with a queen-size sleeper sofa, separate bedroom with a king-size bed and plenty of closet space, and a covered sundeck. The apartment is on a 22-acre farm with magnificent views that borders the French Broad River. Our farm animals include horses, goats, chickens, and turkeys,

Very clean, with all amenities available. Kim and Ken were great hosts,very friendly. We loved sitting on the deck in the evening listening to the sounds of the farm and watching fireflies light up the meadow. Convenient to Pisgah Forest trails, and Brevard.

We really enjoyed our stay at Homestead Farm South. It’s close to Brevard, DuPont State Forest, Hendersonville, Pisgah National Forest and so much more. HFS had everything we needed and it was very clean and quiet. We really enjoyed our four nights there and we’d definitely stay there again. Ken and Kim were very nice and offered great suggestions for getting ahead of the crowds.

Outside: This is such a beautiful property located on 22 acres of land. My friend and I enjoyed the quietness, privacy, fresh air and nature here. The farm animals also added charm to this location. We went in June and saw fireflies at night, so many of them on the trees and meadow. It was special! Inside: Very clean. It is probably the cleanest BnB I’ve been to and I’ve been to many. Kim and Ken made sure to maintain the apartment well. We cooked a few meals and we had all equipments we needed. Water, AC, washer/dryer were running well. I was quite surprised that the apartment is new and more modern than what showed in the photos. Hosts: Kim and Ken are good people. They are kind and honest. My friend and I enjoyed talking with them. We are deeply introverted so that says something. They don’t intrude but became so open and helpful when we approached them and asked for their help. I really enjoyed the stay here. Only thing I regret is not staying longer!

There wasn't anything that we didn't like about the property. It was well-kept and clean and had all of the amenities that are needed. The owners, Ken and Kim, are very friendly and wonderful people. We will definitely be returning for another stay and look forward to it.

We had a wonderful, peaceful stay in Brevard. We loved meeting Ken & Kim. They were great hosts. Very friendly and warm. The place was meticulous and comfy. Loved seeing the animals,, esp. holding a 5 day old goat! They gave us tips for restaurants, which were great also. This property was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the views from the porch were beautiful. The property was conveniently located to surrounding towns, scenic views and waterfalls. The property owners were very helpful with places to eat and places to visit during our stay. We enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to coming again. The location was very convenient to the nearby waterfalls. The place perfectly accommodated my wife and I, as it was well setup for two people. The price was very good and the place is very well maintained. Kim and Ken were great hosts, and our stay was great. One consideration, if you are a late sleeper, is that they have a donkey and a couple of roosters that enjoy chatting early in the morning. So if you are inclined to want to sleep in late, you may want to consider staying elsewhere.

My children and I enjoyed every minute of our stay at Homestead. Ken and Kim made us feel welcome and were very kind and caring hosts. We were able to access the nearby towns and attractions easily from the property. The property is peaceful and clean and truly a home away from home. I recommend this property to families who are looking to get away and relax in the mountains. We can’t wait to visit here again!

What a find this was for me and my children! The apartment was perfect for our weekend stay. Clean, comfortable, packed with amenities, and conveniently located. We loved the setting of the farm - so peaceful and beautiful! The hosts were so kind and gracious. It was my first Vrbo experience and it couldn’t have gone any better. We plan to visit again!

We had a wonderful stay !! Ken and Kim were great hosts! The place was clean and close to town (restaurants, shopping, etc.). It was also close to hiking and waterfalls !! It was very updated with most everything you need. We really enjoyed the covered porch where we could sit and enjoy the mountains and of course all the animals. We plan on staying there again when we get back to the area!

Our stay at Homestead Farm South was exceptional. The over garage apartment is well-appointed, comfortable, and impressively clean. The hosts, Ken and Kim, were delightful and gracious, and all communication was timely. The property is lovely, with cute farm animals including my favorites, the three baby goats! The farm was close to the Davidson River where we enjoyed some trout fishing. We would definitely stay here again!

Ken and Kim made this a perfect place for us! Easy Check-in, clean and airy rooms, and the bonus of waking to the idyllic scene of their lovely farm!!! We love the area for hiking so this was a perfect home base for meals and rest (great bed!). The weather was perfect but I can’t give them credit for that!! Thanks Ken and Kim!

The apartment was spotless, comfortable and a perfect location for beautiful waterfalls and The Pretty Place. It was private. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and we had complementary coffee, sugar and creamer. The lights on the outside staircase were very nice for returning after dark. The farm animals were a BONUS. This place is definitely a “hidden gem.”

Communication was great. The place was spotless. Comfortable. Cozy front porch overlooking the cliffs and the chicken coop. Watched the horse, donkey, goat, and hens every morning sitting in the chair while it rained. Motion activated lights on the steps were wonderful at night. Quiet, but close to town.

My husband and I needed some time away after our son’s wedding. The apartment over the garage in the mountains was beautiful & very clean. Waking up to the sounds of the farm animals was a nice change of pace for us, city folk! Is there anything better than Fall in the mountains? There were many hikes and waterfalls close by making it a perfect location for our stay. We were able to meet Ken & Kim, the owners. They were kind and thoughtful. If we ever travel that way again, we would love to stay at their property again.

This is a beautiful property. The space is very clean. The owners Kim and Ken are very nice and welcoming (but also give you your space- just in case you’re worried about that) they live on the property as well, but the unit above the garage faces the farm land and you can’t see each other - so there’s privacy. The farm animals are charming! And there’s a great view from the deck. It’s a perfect location - 10 minutes from brevard downtown, 10 minutes from pisgah entrance and 10 minutes from DuPont. A great landing spot after a day of activities. We loved it - also - my boyfriend became my fiancé here! Special place to be.
