The house was in a good location but it was a little rundown. The inside of the house was barely cleaned and we had to mop the floors on arrival. The bathroom downstairs wasn't clean with urinal around the toilet. One of the replacement refrigerators was leaking water from the freezer to refrigerator, we had a pot catching the water. Overall it's an okay house needs a little more care and attention. The cleaning crew needs to be a little more thorough in their cleaning process between each guest arriving. The location was amazing and the price I spent was for the location only not for the condition of the house.

Outstanding service by the front desk staff. Very prompt in providing service. The maintenance staff was always available for any problems we had. They could handle any problems inside and outside the unit we were staying at.

We had an amazing time. Love that we could walk down to Wanna Wanna for a drink and bite to eat. My fav part of this property is how easy and quick it is to walk out to the beach. Well kept property. Only suggestion is to upgrade the pillows on the bed. Too small and not enough.

The property was large and was in a great location. We walked to lots of restaurants from the property -- both on the beach and on the street. The pool and hot tub were well-maintained and the beachfront location and access were wonderful. I highly recommend this property!

This is our third time renting from SPI. This is an excellent property with its own private pool on the Gulf. Walking distance to many restaurants. We met the owner last year of this property and decided to rent it for a family vacation. They renovated the pool and the hot tub last year. Everything was wonderful.

Absolutely fabulous property! I cannot recommend it enough and will absolutely be returning to this location in the future! It’s a spacious home with direct beach access, exactly as the photos show. It’s a great location (walk-up beach bar & grill within 100 yards) with wonderful views from both the patio and balcony. The beds were all very comfortable, providing everyone a great night rest for the next day. The pool & hot-tub were great. We had one very minor sink clog and the property manager had a plumber on-site in less then an hour (on a Friday evening after 6pm which really impressed me!) and he resolved the clog within minutes. Parking available in garage, driveway and several spots available on street as well. Truly loved this place and feel in love South Padre on our very first visit!

Wow! This house was perfect! Very comfortably sleeps 8, all bedrooms are upstairs. A/c was amazing! The BEST view from both downstairs and upstairs! Pool and hot tub great addition. The open high ceilings and space of the living in kitchen area gave a nice relaxing flow to the place. The SPI team was fantastic and super quick to respond to any needs we had. We will definitely be back!

FANTASTIC!! Can't say enough how great this property is. Perfect location right on the beach - just steps away. Great views from inside the house and the master bedroom. Wonderful private deck/patio with heated pool and hot tub - all with views of the beach and water. Very spacious interior spaces and bedrooms. Would be hard to top.

I know that I was paying for location and the location was fabulous. However the outside patio area was awful. The grill needs replaced the pool needs work. The outside patio table was disgusting looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. The whole outside area needs a very good cleaning. The inside was nice but needed a few cosmetic fixes. For the price I paid for just a few days I expected it to be a little better.

Beach house = amazing views, perfect amount of beds/baths for 2 families (4 adults, 3 teens, 1 youngster). Pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. Found a nice assortment of beach toys in the garage. Supplied with toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent. Never cooked a meal so couldn’t tell you about kitchen supplies. Had to request towels, and they arrived the next morning. Only downfall was the pool. FULL of sand, don’t think the filter/pumps worked. Called maintenance about the fridge not cooling, and got very prompt service. Very nice to walk over to Wanna Wanna for lunch each day. Get the Turbo drink, you will not be disappointed. And we had the best neighbors staying next door to us. Great vacay!

The location is great. House is very clean and property managers are responsive. Bring your own broom and Tupperware. All else was fairly well stocked. Loved the pool and the endless ocean views. Highly recommend.

We stayed at this home for several days and enjoyed it very much. The view was spectacular and we loved hearing the ocean waves. It was also within walking distance along the beach to several bars and restaurants which was convenient. A couple of things we felt could be improved: bed linens need upgrading along with pillows and extra blankets (there were none available); the kitchen was not stocked well at all including cooking items, minimal things which I expect in a luxury vacation rental were not available such as coffee filters, extra trash bags, extra toilet paper, extra kitchen towels (although they did inform us of this just surprised we had to purchase these things for a luxury rental); the hot tub temperature was not near warm enough. I know these items are minor and definitely not a huge reason to not rent the home. They did not hinder our family time at all - overall we enjoyed it very much and the biggest highlight of all was we loved walk out the back door to the beach!

The property was filthy. All beds and bedding had lots of hair on them. We had to strip all beds and wash all bedding in order to sleep the night we arrived. We condemned one of the bedrooms due to the condition of the bed and the massive amount of hair on the mattress to all layers of bedding. Cigarette butts around the pool. Stains on the Table lamp's shades in family room. Every utensil/cookware removed from a drawer/cabinet was dirty. Roaches came out at night in kitchen due to greasy cookware skillets. I would stay away from SPI Rental Property.

My husband and I did a social distancing anniversary vacation and stayed here. The house is nice and large and would be great for families or groups if friends. You are right in the beach and close to all of the restaurants and activities. We enjoyed the pool, but there were a lot of tiles missing around the jacuzzi.

We rent in South Padre every year after the busy summer season. The view from this house is incredible and the located could not be better. The layout of the house is great with nicely spaced bedrooms and bathrooms. It is sad that the owners do not maintained it well as that does effect the renters vacation time. Everyday there was a new issue, refrigerator not cooling and making beeping sounds; garbage disposal doesn't work and has to be replaced, kitchen faucet falls apart and we have to use the hose that's inside to clean dinner dishes. The kitchen is not well equipped with utensils and cooking items. The housekeepers didn't do well making sure the house was ready for our arrival. The queen bed had a comforter that has throw up on it underneath, the master bedroom wall has a thick layer of dust you can clearly see when the bedside lamps are on. All the showers have limited water pressure that makes it difficult to wash ladies hair. The private pool has a lot of tile coming off at the hot tub and pool walls, and really needs to be replastered. Not sure how often the pool is cleaned because we never saw anyone in the 6 days we were there. I will say that SPI Rentals responded quickly to all my phone calls but it just shouldn't be in that bad of shape and leasing for $600 a night. I'm sure we will go back to South Padre Island but we will never stay in 5208 Gulf Blvd again.

Beautiful home, but lacking the little things that make it worth the money

While the home was beautiful and nicely kept, it was missing a lot of the amenities that make it a comfortable stay. We had one shower towel in the whole place and had to use our beach towels for showers. There were plenty of hand towels and wash cloths, but not fun to dry your body and hair with! Additionally, there were no extra blankets in the whole place, so snuggling up on the couch required us pulling the thin blankets off the beds. For a house that sleeps 12, we could have used a little extra dishwasher pellets, or at least some dish soap. The upstairs patios could have used a table to set drinks on, and the downstairs pull area would benefit from a couple more lounge chairs. It just felts like there was a lot of skimping on the little stuff.

We were switched to this property when owner of the original property cancelled our reservation. Property was new and had some problems with WiFi , hot tub,no microwave and a few other things. All together the issues took away quite a bit from our vacation experience. A lot of time was spent waiting for things to be done.

We have stayed at 5208 Gulf Blvd. probably 6-8 times over the past 15 years.....through a couple of owners, and we still love it. Each year my husband attends the legal seminar held in South Padre. Last year, we had to select a different condo, because that one was booked. We were somewhat disappointed it was not our favorite. Hopefully next year we will be back. We also love being close to Wanna Wanna!

This house was perfect for our family vacation. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and spent 6 days there with our children and grandchildren. It is so convenient to the beach and the backyard pool, although small, was enough for us. Our only disappointment was the showers which had very low water pressure. Otherwise, just a great place, well equipped, and comfortable.

Too expensive for what we got the pool was not filtering only used once because of that ... BBQ was dirty and rusted no propane as well was not fixed til the third day of our five day stay ..too late bugs came up from shower drain in back bedroom would recommend for people with more family members and children

Very glad we found you guys. The place was fantastic. Service was great and the staff were awesome. The few issues we had of items breaking, the staff were very quick to get fixed. The only issue we had that were not fixable were the beds in the two larger bedrooms. The beds had sagging in the mattresses. This made it difficult to get a really good nights rest. This was the only issue. Regina (with the staff) really stood out. She helped in many ways and even helped me find a place to set off fireworks for New Years Eve. She went above and beyond. The entire family wants to make this an annual event. Thank you very much.
