About this apartment rental
Located 1.3 miles from the luxury of Tahoe City restaurants and shops in the in the exclusive neighborhood of Lake Forest, you will find 'Sapphire Vista' studio with clean modern lines which create a soothing Sierra escape. Rather than hotel costs, you can cook and BBQ (not super gourmet, as it a mini kitchen with all needed with mini fridge, micro, and BBQ).
In Lake Forest, you have a small and serene studio rental with a high-end mattress for some deep z-z-z's. In the summer, walk across the street to explore magical Skylandia forest park and beach. Or take you pup to play at Bristlecone where locals bring to dogs to play on the beach. Walk to Sugar Pine Bakery for goodies and coffee or sandwiches to take to the beach.
Serene, modern, with a brand new well-appointed interior, this retreat by the lake offers some serious get-away for the budget-minded.
Guests here appreciate a more modern aesthetic, but also are comfortable in the cozy quarters of 430 sq. ft. This is Tiny House Beach Chic.
*Note: A home is being built next door, so there is some audible building 8am-6pm, but most are out enjoying nature during these hours....

The hosts were terrific. Even with my barking dog! The accommodations were exactly like the pictures. Cozy, modern and clean with Tahoe rustic mixed in. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. All the neighbors are super friendly. As well as their dogs. We felt very welcome.

We really enjoyed this little cottage on the lake! It is nicely decorated and clean with all the necessary things for comfort. We never needed for towels, toilet paper, blankets, pillows, kitchen ware, etc. I would suggest this is a good place for a couple or a small family of 3. Our daughter is 11 and didn’t mind sleeping on the pull out. The location is so private and off the beaten path. Lots of walking trails and parks within walking distance. You can see the lake from the bathroom and bedroom windows. Clean windows would have been wonderful to see the views but I understand this is the forest and we were there memorial weekend so it may not have gotten done yet. Anyway, we would come back for sure! 10 minutes from any eatery in Tahoe City and shopping. Hosts were very private and helpful! A Tahoe Gem for sure 🤗

The property was very cute, clean, and just as we were expecting! The location was great and the music playing when we walked in paired with the soft lighting was such a nice touch!

Disappointed
With the snow storms and Caltans travel advisories & state of emergency we decided it was the best thing to cancel. We spent two nights in Roseville thinking we might make it up the mountain. We asked for a credit to use for a future visit. The owner denied our request & gave us information that was not accurate on road closers and safe travel. I rent my condo on VRBO & have made many accommodations for my guests due to pandemic & other uncontrollable situations. It’s the right thing to do.

Hunkering in the snow
It was perfectly adequate for me & my elderly dog, however the steep steps were a challenge for her. I didn’t need more than just a hot-plate & microwave, so the kitchenette was O.K. Someone shoveled the path to the parking area almost every day during our record snowfall, which was essential for me to walk my dog. One day I had to try to do it myself. Overall, we (my dog & me) we’re comfortable.

Left after one night
The property is not as advertised. Tried to get a refund because of all the smoke in Tahoe, but the owner said "because the kids were going back to school, she would not be issuing a refund". The air quality was so bad that I didn't want to do any outdoor activities, and the unit is not place you want to spend all day in. It's above the garage with no view at all. I couldn't open the windows because of the air quality, and it was so hot. There is a window a/c but really didn't work well. Very steep stairs going up to the unit. I decided that it wasn't worth it and left after one night.

Lovely Apartment
The space was exactly as advertised. A little older/more rustic than some of the IKEA-ed out places I've stayed, but it had so many nice details that were appreciated. My fiance and I stayed just one night as we were in Tahoe City for a wedding. The apartment was nice and private because it's above the garage. It was quiet and amazingly clean. It was also homey, with a lot of details like extra fans and towels that we appreciated. We would absolutely stay here again. We didn't really get to explore because the smoke was really bad, but we did visit the close by coffee shop, the Cakery, which was amazing.

Clean and well organized small home
The bedroom and living room/kitchen are not big, but are well organized, and I can find everything needed for a home. The place is maintained very clean also. The property has direct beach access, and has just walking distance to two great beach parks.

Cutest studio with beach access
We loved our stay at this little studio! The hosts were very helpful and friendly and the space was perfect for a getaway. With access to a beach just a couple second walk away, it was a little slice of heaven. We will definitely be back! Highly functioning AC, decent studio kitchen, lots of towels, good WiFi.

Lakeside apartment
We were warmly welcomed to the lovely “apartment” by the Lake. The clean and nicely decorated space was perfect size for two of us and our dog. Access to the beach was easy for our paddle boarding. The kitchenette is all we needed. We have recommended this place to our friends already.

Great location
Great location, tucked back into a beautiful neighborhood. This neighborhood is right in between two beaches and close to town. We had access to the lake and were close to many trails. The rental unit is cute and met our needs. The owners were very welcoming. We enjoyed our stay.

“Tahoe Garage apartment”
Contrary to the listing pictures: No beach view, limited beach access, all the outside pictures of seating, docks, swing set is not available to renter use.
Only one appliance useable at a time. Hot plate, toaster, or micro.
Friendly manager, just deceptively advertised.
The area is beautiful and we enjoyed our stay

An adorable place for one or two
This small, second-story apartment is in an adorable, quiet little neighborhood on the water. The hosts were friendly and attentive. We had an issue with cleanliness when we arrived but Sarah handled it efficiently. Other than that, our stay was lovely!

Not Lake Front. Pictures are deceiving. yiu can get to the lake simply, but you can not see it.
Very nice place, but not at all like advertised. Its a tiny loft, "apartment ", up a steep flight of stairs and does not have a lake view. You can not see Lake Tahoe from this room. You can walk around the owners house and see it though. I just had higher expectations for the price that I paid.

Nice place for a few nights in the Tahoe City area.
We enjoyed our time in the Tahoe City area, mostly skiing and hitting breweries in town. Our Lake Forest home was perfect for our limited time there. It's a great location, close to town, but nice to be on the lakes edge. The house is comfortable for 2 people. It has most of what you need to be self sufficient. Parking is easy, and Sarah was very responsive to our questions. Internet was fine while we were there.
The apartment could use some updates to the kitchen - at least some full sets of utensils, a couple more variable sizes of glasses/cups. Electrical in the kitchen is a little clumbsy due to limited outlets. The bed was very comfortable, nice sheets, decent pillows. The water pressure was good, bathroom quite small, but enough for 2. With a little better insulation (or even a heavy curtain at the bottom of the steps, the owners could save $$$ on heating (winter). Overall, I would recommend this property for a single or couple.

Cozy small condo with everything needed!
We are a couple with 11 years old daughter. It is small but very cozy, have everything needed for us. Stayed for 5 nights. Because of COVID-19, we brought bedding/comforter and pillows with us. It provides clean beddings as well! Very convenient to beaches! We like it. Only one thing want to mention, the bath curtain is better to be longer, so shower water won’t leak outside!

Overall a very cozy and nice spot. My 2 kids and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was easy to get to and was sufficient for our needs to hit the nearby slopes.

Tahoe Getaway
We had a great time staying 2 nights at this property. Our daughter came over from UNR for a night and the twin pullout worked great. So nice to have beach access - we loved walking on the beach and my chocolate lab loved swimming in the lake. Able to hike close. Restaurants down the road in Taho City. Would stay here again!

Adorable
My daughter and I stayed here overnight with our 2 doggies. The little place is adorable withcute furnishings. There is a pretty little path of flowers leading to the apartment above the garage. The lake is behind the main house so we sat in the two Adirondack chairs and enjoyed our morning coffee (fromThe little bakery down the street) and took in the view.
A little slice of heaven.
