About this cottage rental
As a builder from Kentucky and life-long Apalachicola fan I looked long and hard at finding the right location for the perfect family vacation spot. I wish to extend my personal invitation to you and your family to share my vacation home.
Downtown Apalachicola has so much to offer and being able to provide the creature comforts to hard working families like mine was foremost in planning and building this get-away.
My family enjoys a little pampering with their time off that is what we wish to share with you. There is plenty of parking on the property. There is room for the boat to be hitched to the truck while parked in front of the house with a handy water hose accessible with additional private parking spot in the back of the cottage.
Inside we designed everything with family in mind. New comfortable beds in every bedroom and a twin size sleeper sofa. A full size washer and dryer, an ironing board and iron, a completely stocked kitchen and a relaxing great room are part of the package.
Beyond that are two full bath rooms three private bedrooms. The kitchen & great room were designed to allow an open cooking area with room to do so. The tiled floors are for active, easy care, vacationing. Ground Floor home with wide hallways and door ways are wheelchair friendly.
Everyone deserves a little pampering while taking a break for relaxation. That is why we decided to take everything up a notch. The new bedding is matched with quality linens and we carry that over to the bathrooms. The shower heads are spa type.
This location, across the street from the scenic river and restaurants, is as much about outdoors as inside. There is a relaxing patio and back yard as well as a covered back porch which is perfect for watching the occasional storms pass through.
Bring the boat, kayak, bikes, books and games. There is Wi-Fi and cable for after dinner because there is so much to do during the day. Just about anything you can do in, on, above, below or under the water is offered somewhere nearby. Grab a guide at the Visitors Center a quick stroll away.
Apalachicola is one of the most historic towns in the country. Its history is rich, eventful and inspiring. You will want to read up about it on line or in the nearby bookstore. Today it is haven for bird watching, all sorts of fishing, photography, environmental site and studies and artists. Not to mention the seasonal variations - such as the massive butterfly, marine and bird migrations.
You can easily rent a golf cart and spend all day simply touring the beautiful homes in the historic district, of which you will be a part of. Spanish moss laden giant oaks, hundreds of varieties of palms, delightful gardens are truly inspiring and relaxing.
We picked this downtown location because we wanted to be where could park the car and leave it parked. Apalachicola daytime offers countless boutiques , art galleries, coffee shops and restaurants. It is a safe haven where you need not worry about the family strolling the town. The pace is different and infectious.
Fishing and festivals round out the calendar in Apalachicola. Fishing is easy to hook up - Just call Robison Brothers Guide Service. The festivals, parades and fireworks are a block away in almost any direction from this property with the added advantage being your parking spots are secured.
Head out your front door to the left and you will be on the grounds for the annual Seafood Festival. Head out your front door to the right and you will be in the middle of arts festivals. Head out the back door to the river for street parades, boat parades and fireworks.
Kathy Robinson is the property manager, located just a couple blocks away. We look forward to being your host for your next stay in Apalachicola and for years to come.
**Outdoor Shower with Hot & Cold water. Shower Al Fresco! rinse off after a fun day at the beach.

Perfect location for walking to dining and shopping. LOVED the fenced in back yard/patio. Plenty of room for our party of 4. Kitchen is well stocked, however, no dishwasher. Would absolutely rent this place again. Loved our short visit to Apalach!

Great house

We had a great time in Apalachicola! The house was in the perfect spot close to everything and thank goodness since it rained on and off the entire time we were there. It is just a short walk to almost everything in the downtown area. The house was very nice. Clean and like new. We didn't do any cooking while we were there but it looked like the kitchen is well equipped. The little side yard was very cozy and nice. Cathy was great to work with and answered her phone the couple of times we called her. She can also set you up with a great fishing charter. The internet/cable TV was great. Just a great place to stay if you're going there. We will be back!

A Home Away From Home
This little cottage in the heart of historic Apalachicola. You are steps away from fantastic food, local art, and sweet boutiques OR…you could just stay at “home” and enjoy one of five porch swings on three different porches OR…you can enjoy the enchanting court yard, drinking a cold lemonade while watching the lizards scramble. Are you making a version of key lime pie? There is a mature lime tree in the back of the yard that is full of refreshing limes- straight from the branch.
The cottage was clean and stocked well. Wi-Fi was superb. I worked from the cottage and the speed was fast. No downtime. We use T-Mobile and our phones had great signal. We loved it and will definitely be back. It’s important to know this is a warm and welcoming cottage that doesn’t want for much. It’s very comfortable and close to everything. It is not a grande hotel and doesn’t have those luxuries.
I feel this home is the perfect Apalachicola rental; truly a home away from home.

Tranquility
The beautiful slow pace of the community spoke to our souls. The shops, restaurants, galleries, and museums were all within easy walking distance and very eclectic and informative. The beautiful location on the water made it a relaxing retreat.

Mother’s Day weekend getaway
Thoroughly enjoyed our family weekend escape in Apalachicola for Mother’s Day weekend. This house is so convenient for one block walk to the Owl Restaurant and Oyster City Brewing Company. Quiet and comfortable. Enjoyed coffee on porch swing.

Pleasantly surprised
The breakfast bar is larger, added more comfortable furniture to the living room. If you want to make frozen margaritas...byob (blender). We don't have a problem with that. Hose is comfortable the courtyard is perfect for 7 or just for two. Love this pkace!

Great little place!
Tastefully decorated & very clean. Great location within walking distance of shops & restaurants. The beautiful beaches of St. George Island are a 20 minute drive away (I recommend going to the state park instead of the crowded beaches in the center of the island). Kathy was a wonderful hostess and we can't wait to book with her again.

Super Cute & Quaint Cottage
Honestly this cottage was our favorite thing about our stay in Apalachicola. It was absolutely perfect for us and our dog babies. It was very clean and neat. We loved the wide hall and doorways. I could not say enough about our stay here. It is very close to the eating places and shops in town. Kathy was super easy to work with and honestly we fell in love with this little cottage. If I were gonna be coming back to the city I would definitely stay here again. Thanks Kathy for everything! The dog babies loved the side yard! It was perfect!

Most convenient ever
Had a great time, with in walking distance of everything
. Very clean and neat, huge TV. Only downside was no dishwasher. Guests are responsible for washing the dishes as you leave. Hopefully they were washed well before we got there.

We enjoyed the house. Great location to town. Very comfortable place to stay in Apalachicola.

Amazing seaside town!
This house gives the appearance of being small but it is very spacious inside. We had a family of 6 staying here and we did so very comfortably. The decor is simply seaside. We loved everything about this house. It is very clean, all the utensils and cooking gear you would need. The 2 swings on the back porch is one of my favorite things. The town is just quaint, as I expected. Everything can be reached by walking and we loved the Tap Room. We also visited St. George Island and the beach. It is very close by. I only wish we had more time to stay in this awesome place. Thank you for such a great, relaxing experience and sharing your beautiful home with us.
