About this house rental
Our Beautiful Town homes are located at Cannes Village, on Silver Point Drive, on the most incredible, white sand beach in Freeport. I am the developer of these 18, privately owned units and currently have 3 town homes for rent or sale. The units have been completely upgraded, are modern, very clean and everything is like new. Each unit has everything one needs for comfort and enjoyment. Each unit has an oceanfront terrace overlooking the beach, and ocean. There is a private pool with lounge chairs available to all. The downstairs level of our town homes has a full kitchen, with everything one needs to cook and be comfortable, a dining area with 6 chairs, a living room that opens to a patio directly on the ocean ( 30 feet away in our 3 bedroom, ground floor units!) As we have 3 units, the bed configuration is as follows: 2 queen beds and a queen sofa bed in our 2 bedroom unit, and one of our three bedroom units has a king bed, a queen bed and a double bed. The other three bedroom unit has a king , a queen and a bedroom with two twin beds The upstairs guest rooms have a queen size Temporpedic Memory foam bed. Master and one guest bedroom have their own private baths. The third bath is between the living and dining area(I have two almost identical units available right next to each other (units 102-VRBO 241525) and 103-VRBO 1139400) If your friends want to come, they can stay in 103 next to you. I also have one - 2 bedroom units #14- VRBO 1139394, also available in the other building on the property. with the most awesome ocean view you will ever encounter. Just let me know how many you would need for your group.)
The units are 800 feet from a great outdoor restaurant that features a full bar that you can sit in the pool and drink at as well as tables to relax and eat and drink. It is open for lunch and dinner with live music on Thursday and Saturday nights. Conch,a local shellfish, is prepared at a thatch palm kiosk right on the beach!. A convenience store is located walking distance from the townhouse. Also, just down the beach is Manta Ray, a full service restaurant and sports bar that is an awesome place to "chill".
We also have most US franchise fast food restaurants(only 1 of each) such as: Burger King, Kentucky Chicken, Subway, Domino’s, Pizza Hut (delivers). There is a 6 movie Cinema about 10 minutes away.
Port Lucaya Marketplace is 3 miles from the complex and has many restaurants and shops plus nightly entertainment in the Square. The nearest grocery store is also about 3 miles away in Seahorse Shopping Plaza.
At Port Lucaya, you can rent a boat, go sport fishing, learn to scuba dive and even swim with the Dolphins!
Cannes Village is a quiet place that has excellent beach security yet offers everything you will want. When you want 'activities' Island Seas Resort, directly adjacent to my complex, offers many activities including volleyball, jet ski rentals, bar, and two restaurant. Also at the Island Seas you can rent cars or sign up for deep sea fishing. The best bone fishing and snorkeling are right off our beach and there is a 'blue hole' about 1/4 mile from the unit, about 40 feet off the beach, where 1000's of fish are easy seen with a mask and snorkel. This is my home and all units are newly furnished in comfortable furniture and bedding. The units are well maintained and are complete with everything one would need. There are no pets allowed and a maximum occupancy of six people. When renting, you will be required to provide a photo ID for each person staying, as this is a requirement of our Condo Association.
Please feel free to call us anytime between 10 am and 11 pm

This was our 2nd time on the island and 2nd time staying at Cannes Village. Perfect option for a family of active travelers. Has plenty of space for a family to spread out and most of the basic necessities of home. Beautiful beach right outside your door. Clear, blue water for snorkeling and swimming. Views from the property are stunning. Sun Odyssey Scuba diving shop right around the corner. Take a short walk on the Williamstown ocean wall for picturesque views and to eat where the locals eat. Recommend renting a vehicle to explore and get the whole grand Bahamas experience. I will say the property is in need of a facelift. All amenities are clean and functional, just outdated.

They condo was perfect for our family. It was clean, quiet, right on a beautiful beach and had everything we needed for a fun and relaxing vacation. It was very close to restaurants and the marketplace. It was exactly as described and we would definitely stay here again!

The condo was very nice. Plenty of room for 4 of us. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Also plenty of towels for all of us. The location was perfect. Not crowded at all and not too far from restaurants and shopping. The only thing that we weren't aware of was there wasn't a beach to sit in right outside the condo. ......but it was a very short walk to the resort next door that shared their beach and chairs with us. If you are looking for a nice quiet place to vacation, this is it!!!!! Thanks for everything.

GB is a peaceful, quiet island. The condo allows access to an entire beach that has all the privacy you need. If you want more of a resort feel, you can walk next door to Island Seas and they let you use the beach chairs and the pool. (This works during high tide when the water is covering the beach in front of the property.) The unit we (wife, 2 kids) stayed at has about 20 feet of grass in the back yard and natural rocks separating the beach from the lawn. Literally you are about 30 feet from the blue water as you stand on the patio or balcony . If you are all about close proximity to the ocean/sand, this by far is the best place I have stayed in. The nights were cool enough where we didn't run the AC and just left the upstairs balcony door open and listened to the waves, while the full moon lit up the shoreline. Not only this beach but Taino and the other beaches were just as nice to visit for a fish fry or a game of volleyball. Rent a car, pack a few groceries in the suitcase and go out to eat at the local establishments and you should be good to go. The condo itself is clean and the property manager Charles and his son will take care of any little repairs in a very timely manner...even on Sundays and at night. I would absolutely vacation at this unit again. Our family wished we could have stayed more than 7 days!!!

We had a wonderful time. The property was great, as were the owners and the property manager. Speedy was awesome. We had easy access to the beach, as well as a pool right there to use. The neighborhood was safe. We went for walks/runs most mornings. Everyone on the island was friendly. We look forward to returning.

Awesome view, nice to have access to the resort and dining and bar on one side and Maxi’s bar on the other side. Condo we stayed in was nicely renovated, my only comment was it could have been given to us cleaner. We had to sweep the main floor bedroom due to dirt and dead bugs.
Hosts were great to deal with.

Clean and operational 3 years after Dorian, which is more than can be said for a big portion of the island. Great friendly people making the most of a devastating Cat 5 hurricane in 2019.

Property Manager
The Property Manager Speedy was a beautiful Soul. She helped us with any questions we had. Not so great was this place, looks like they're trying but never again. Upstairs sliding screen was off the track, The room smelled like Mold. Old towels old Rugs look like my grandma's throw rugs. Washer and dryer in the kitchen ? Front screen door had a Bandaid yes I said bandaid on door holding the handle component together,by the end of the week the whole thing fell apart. Would not recommend it.Speedy was excellent and very kind and helpful.

Beautiful location
We had a wonderful time at the condo. It was very comfortable and in a great location. Spent some time next door at the Island Seas pool and used their beach chairs/umbrellas (free rental, just tips). Snorkeling was fairly good.

Perfect Getaway
We had a wonderful time staying at the Cannes Village. The Townhouse Unit 3 was clean and very inviting and had everything we needed!! Catherine was wonderful and very accommodating!! Boys went deep sea fishing, girls relaxed at the beach:)
Loved the area, went down to Bernie's to get our favorite Conch Salad while watching the beautiful sunset!! Water was crystal clear for snorkeling and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub at Island Seas resort next door which was nice. If you are looking for a quiet vacation with not to many tourist, this is the place to be!!! We highly recommend Cannes Village and can not wait to return!!!
Thank you Mike and Diana!!

Relaxing, quiet and a great location.
We recently spent 3 weeks here and enjoyed it immensely. The location could not be better as the ocean is a stone throw from the villa. The beach is great for swimming and walking. While there is a big resort next door (you can use their facities) it was quiet at night. There is casual dining on both sides of Cannes Village . The Villa is well equipped and furnished. The property manager, Catherine, is excellent and responsive: ex we had an AC breakdown and a new unit was ordered and installed within a couple of days. Fortunately we did not really need the AC as the weather was great and always a breeze. Suggest you rent a car to see more of the island as there are some great beaches on Grand Bahama.

Love the Bahamas
This was our 2nd trip to the Bahamas - first time on this island though. From getting off the plane to leaving the island we had a blast. This property is great. I want to get the not so great out of the way first - mostly because there isn't much!
1. The 2nd bedroom did not have 2 twin beds in it as per the pictures on VRBO when we booked. We contacted Catherine the manager and she sorted this within the hour by getting a separate bed in so our teenagers (boy and girl) didn't have to share a bed for 10 days! Big shout out to both Catherine and Oveda ( the housekeeper) who made this initial contact a non issue.
2. There were a couple of things broken (screen door at the patio, front door lock was a bit sticky, some window blinds didn't work well) none of this affected our stay and was mostly sorted out
That as it for negative stuff. Minor and we never felt not looked after or unable to get a hold of someone to help or fix something. I can't say enough good enough things about the people on the Bahamas. Friendly, helpful, happy, is just the first 3 words that spring to mind.
We rented a car and hence had the ability to explore a bit (Ton Ton and his wife was amazing and picked us up at the airport, drove us to the condo and once again met us at the airport when we left. More good people!) There are plenty of beaches of course and none was ever crowded. Great food at different restaurants and excellent grocery stores close by. You do need a vehicle to get to the grocery stores though. Get frozen yoghurt at Island Yoghurt....You will need the frequent flyer cards!
The beach just in front of this condo was great but does become nearly unusable when the tide is high. There are some rocks in the shallower areas but the swim was still good.
All in all this was a great stay and definitely on my list of repeat visits.
Thank you Mike and Diana for the 10 days we could stay in your paradise. Thank you Catherine, Oveda, Ton Ton, Rilda and the numerous other people we met. No regrets !!

Great space on the water on an awesome beach
We rented #3 which is a 3 bedroom, the unit has a Queen downstairs and a Queen and King bed upstairs. I read reviews going into the stay that I wanted to clarify for this particular unit.
The kitchen had more than we expected for supplies to use to cook. There were lots of beach things provided including a collection of sun block likely left from past guests. We added a beach umbrella to the mix as there aren't a lot of ways to get shade unless you get one from the place next door which were in not so good shape (but they make it work :). We asked for beach chairs from the resort next door to be placed on the end of the beach closest to where we were staying which was awesome. Beach chairs were only $2 each. Super good deal.
The pool was awesome and fun, we brought our own floats and the kids had a ball playing. There is a hose at the end of the porch so clean up was easy. The coral isn't too bad in front of the place unlike what I'd originally read in some of the reviews, if you have sensitive feet, bring beach shoes, if not, you can totally walk around the few spots in the water where there is some harder coral. I think the coral reef in front of the house has suffered damage from global warming as the reef looked almost completely white, but if you swim out far enough, you will see a few colorful fish, it's really shallow even far out so you don't feel like you are in an unsafe place.
The beach is gorgeous and not a lot of people, I love this kind of beach that has just enough services and not too many tourists. We really like the area, it's quiet and nice with lots of options for fun or just to enjoy a quiet night at the condo.
The locals walk the beach and will offer things to sell but they aren't pushy.
The 2 beach bars next door are great, also the resort had good food, and there is a grocery store close by.
We enjoyed our stay and would come back again!

I really enjoyed my stay and my family did as well.

We loved it.
My family and I have been visiting the Bahamas and Caribbean islands every year since 1985 and we have stayed in a variety of accommodations. When we return to Grand Bahama Is. we hope to stay at Cannes 2 again. This 3 Br town home was comfortable, quiet, well appointed well maintained and affordable. We have never stayed so close to the beach. It was a five minute drive to the Port Lucayan resaraunt/ market area and next to a time share resort on one side and an open air restaraunt about a 3 to 5 minute walk on the other. The Manager, Catherine was very helpful. JP from Pittsburgh area.

Wonderful vacation!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this amazing condo right on the beach. It was beautifully furnished and had everything we needed for our 11 night stay. The weather was great, and we only had to walk down the beach to have a nice dinner and beach bonfire. The resort next door also has a good restaurant, and we went on a sunset cruise right across the street! We enjoyed the quiet pool, and wonderful views. We felt very safe and had a great time.
Catherine was excellent with any of our questions or concerns. I highly recommend this place to anyone! We will definitely be back.

Awesome condo and week in Freeport
This property met and exceeded our expectations! The condo was very nice, clean and well equipped! Speedy greeted us and was so welcoming! The owners were very quick to answer all questions we had. It was very nice having Island Seas Resort next door with their conveniences, Adrian brought us beach chairs each day from the resort. My one recommendation for the beach is bring water shoes; the bottom was quite corally and a bit tough to walk on. We were told this is temporary due to last year’s hurricanes and will improve over the next year. Definitely not a deal breaker, just come prepared. Try to enjoy Bernie’s Tuesday night bonfire and Manta Ray beach bar both in walking distance on the beach. We had a great time!

Absolutely awesome.
Where do I begin. This was the BEST vacation our family ever had. The property was sensational. Perfect for what we needed. We were looking for a place that was laid back and not overly populated and that’s exactly what we found.
The townhouse is directly on the beach and also has a pool. We stocked up at the supermarket which was on par with pricing here in Philadelphia. It’s a 10 minute ride in a cab and the driver even waited for us while we shopped. I also must mention Michelle’s Kitchen which is a stones throw up the beach in a mobile kitchen. Lobster, conch, snapper. TREMENDOUS FOOD. And great prices.
The view from the back of the townhouse was like a postcard. Sunrise and sunsets with a Sands. (Local beer). The townhouse had comfortable beds and a well equipt kitchen if you want to cook!
The beaches are stunning! Calm and turquoise blue. We have stayed at high end places (Atlantis , Ocean Club) and they are terrific. This is a different terrific. Informal and “at your own pace” type of environment. Truly the best vacation we ever had.
Mike and Diana were a breeze to talk to. We couldn’t have been more pleased. Thank you Mike and Diana and Katherine, the property manager, for all your hospitality. I can’t wait to do it again. Thanks so much.
