This is a great property and great hosts. The property was clean and well cared for. The pool was clean. Views are gorgeous. We had a family wedding to attend and hosted the rehearsal dinner at this location. Our guests loved it. We used the bbq and Flatstone grill, swam and had great food and fun. Our kids and some of their friends stayed with us and there was plenty of room. Great kitchen and outdoor area. Can't say enough about how the home was an asset to provide a great family get together. Thank you.

This place is absolutely stunning. It was so peaceful and beautiful. From the pool to the stocked pond to the game room area we always were having a great time! The house was super clean and comfortable and we can’t wait to visit again!

The house is beautiful, and we had plenty of room for our family reunion. We enjoyed the swimming in the pool, fishing in pond and playing lost of games inside and out. The kitchen has plenty of space and is well-stocked. Highly recommend this house and already planning to go back next year!

We were celebrating our grand sons graduation. This is a really great place and a really nice house. Everything was updated and it is stocked with all the essentials you need. It's big enough to handle a large family gathering, with plenty of space to spread out and a great living room and kitchen for everyone to come together. We were there in the middle of a typical Texas Heat Wave so hanging out in the pool was essential. It has a very large back porch area with plenty of tables and seating. We used the Blackstone for every meal. The fishing pond was a lot of fun.We caught a few bass. There are a ton of big catfish in there but we couldn't get them to bite. Everyone enjoyed their stay. The host are really nice and very quick to respond to any question.

The pictures do not do this property justice. It was so much larger than I expected from the pictures and there was more than enough room for all of our family. The owners came by and introduced themselves to make sure we had everything we needed and gave us sugar cubes to feed the horses. By day 2 we were already planning our next trip back.

Our group of 10 plus our dog had a wonderful time at this home. So many things to do, from the game room to the pool. We were never bored. Being able to sit outside and just admire the beauty of your surroundings. It was very peaceful. Highlight of the trip was being able to feed the horses and go fishing.

Tex’s Ranch was perfect for our family gatherings, giving us a peaceful and fun escape with awesome fishing, including catfishing, bass, and crappie. The place also had a fantastic pool and activities like feeding the horse and playing pool. It had everything we needed to keep us all happy, balancing relaxation and fun for our group aged 3 to 75. We loved the peaceful mornings watching the sunrise and drinking coffee, and hanging out in the spacious outdoor area by the fire. This was our fourth family trip here, and the friendly, responsive owners and comfy accommodations made it an amazing stay. Thank you for your hospitality, we can’t wait to come back!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Tex’s Ranch, and it was an unforgettable experience!
The house itself was incredibly well-equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed, making it easy to prepare meals without a hitch. And let me tell you, the pictures do not do this place justice! The view of the pond and the valley behind the house is simply breathtaking.
The pool area was a hit with the kids, and I appreciated the pergola with its soft lighting at night, providing a perfect spot to relax out of the sun. The dock on the pond was another favorite spot. We enjoyed watching the fish come up to eat when the feeder went off and soaking in the tranquility of the water.
The owners, Tex and Deb, are one of a kind, ensuring we were welcomed and had all that we needed
One of the highlights for me was the open spaces where my dog could run and play safely away from the roads. The large yard had plenty of room to roam, and the horses and longhorn cows added a unique charm that I loved seeing every day. To top it all off, we even spotted an eagle with a nest nearby, which was a spectacular sight.
This property truly offers something for everyone to enjoy. It is located at the end of a country road, far from any highway, it provided the peace and quiet that I desperately needed to escape from my busy life.
Tex’s Ranch is a true jewel, and I can’t wait to return!

This is an amazing place, but when we went, the pool wasn’t working and a thunder storm caused the power to go out. The power was not restored so the next day we had to leave at 5 pm (still without power.) We had to leave a day early because of this.

Loved the heated pool, pond(fishing), farm animals frequented the property, lots of room to visit inside and out. Great grill and large fire pit. Had smores almost every night.

For my family, it was a really good place for a reunion. Out of town guests did not have to go to a motel. For family that lives close by, it was just a short drive. The house had everything we needed. We enjoyed watching the animals. We plan on doing it again next year.

Loved our stay! We were visiting from DFW & east Texas for a family getaway. It was so quiet and peaceful. The house had ample space for us to spread out or sit together to enjoy a meal or watch a movie. We really enjoyed the pool and the pond. The ducks at the pond were super friendly and we could hear them “talking” all day. You cannot beat the sunrises and view! It was lovely! Tex and Deb are wonderful hosts and we’re readily available during our stay. Would 100% recommend this place for anyone wanting a quiet, secluded, country getaway.

We absolutely loved our time at this house. The house is set up perfectly for multiple families to have their own areas. While we didn’t have much luck fishing, we definitely enjoyed riding on the pontoon boat. We fed the horses and ducks every day when they came up to visit. There’s a market dollar store nearby for last minute forgotten items. The store had a large grocery selection, including frozen and refrigerated items, which came in handy. I highly recommend staying at Tex’s Ranch!

Hosts were extremely easy to work with and were quick to deal with the a/c acting up. Wonderful people! The pond was well stocked and the pool was perfect for the kids. We also had a lot of fun interacting with the two horses and enjoyed the cows. The pool table was well balanced and the house was very clean. Only negative was we had to leave!

We would have liked on LARGE serving bowl, We used two bowls. Other than that we had everything we needed.

My family from Illinois was in Texas for a family reunion. The property was close to reunion but private from it. There was a game room with a pool table, a pond with an island and a small pontoon, a pool, horses to spoil, and a pair of ducks to watch. Simply there was something for everyone.

Was a great weekend. Access to the pool and fishing made it an easy decision. House slept a pile of adults comfortably.

My family found all they needed here for a quick refresh. While my husband was out fishing and enjoying the pond area, the kids played shuffleboard and pool, and I had some quiet time on the back patio.
We definitely plan to return this summer when we can spend longer! Thank you guys

This property is truly a hidden gem. This is my second stay at this property. The peacefulness and comfortable accommodations, made for a truly relaxing getaway.
Another aspect of the property that I find impressive was the amount of room available for all., we have a large family, this house has everything you need to feel comfortable, together and at home, yet still have enough space for everyone (teenagers) to breath.
One of the highlights of my stay was the outdoor space. The back patio areas are perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine while taking in the beautiful views of the pool, pond, and pasture.. I also appreciated the extra refrigerator for drinks, and the fire pit. Open back and front area with noone in site!.
Overall, I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable, vacation with the comforts of home and gracious hosts.

I was pleasantly surprised by how open and inviting the experience was. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at home. The property itself was spacious and offered stunning views of the surrounding area. But what really stood out to me was the sense of openness and peace that permeated every aspect of my stay.
The hosts were incredibly accommodating and made it clear that they wanted me to feel at ease during my stay. They provided plenty of information about the property and the surrounding area, and were always available to answer any questions I had.
I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and inviting home away from home.

Speaking for all six ladies, the whole experience was awesome! The house was great! The owners are very attentive to any needs! The beds were super comfy. The view all the way around the property is breathtaking, we very much enjoyed our coffee on the back porch and enjoyed the sounds of nature! The only negative is there needs to be at least one handicap toilet! The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you could ever possibly need to cook with! When we get a chance to get together again we will definitely rent this house again!
2.0
We have rented a lot of properties and have never had such a negative experience. The beautiful, well-maintained landscape and quiet/seclusion are where the positive features of this property end.
Overall, the house was very dirty, and it was clear that the owners do not use a cleaning service. The floors were unvacuumed, and there were small cities of dead flies/bugs in corners/windowsills. On two of the main beds, we had to switch out stained sheets for different ones. The shelves in the bedroom closets were dirty, and the grilling utensils had not been cleaned. One of the two ovens was duct-taped shut due to being out of order, and 2 of the recliners within the sectional in the living room did not work properly. The toilet in the master ensuite sounded like a jet taking off every time it was flushed. Although listed as included in the property, plastic baggies and aluminum foil were not in the kitchen. While the owner was fairly prompt in fulfilling our request for these items as well as for facial tissues, it was a bit of a surprise when she showed up at our door before 9 AM. The property also contained only a single roll of paper towels.
The most disappointing part about this property was that the outdoors (pond, pontoon boats, heated pool) was not as advertised. Even with these items, we had been concerned that the property was a bit overpriced; without these, it feels like we were robbed. We were informed the day before our arrival by the owner that the pool heater was broken. The part that the owner ordered to fix the pool heater was ineffective. The day we arrived, we found out that the owner’s insurance company required her to eliminate the motors (left boats useless). The pond had not been maintained and was overrun with lily pads (different from photo). This prevented us from even using our own kayaks on the pond. During communication with the owner, dated only stated that these issues were out of her control, did not apologize, and did not offer to reduce the price. We felt like these outdoor features were what would allow such a high rental price. In the end, we had to stop communicating because the owner became somewhat belligerent during text messages.

The location was perfect with easy access to the elephants at Endangered Ark Foundation and Paris. We swam, played pool and card games, relaxed and enjoyed the quiet surroundings. This will be on our list of places to return!

We had a lot of fun, the pool was great and the fishing was perfect. No big bass only babies but we still had fun. Good size catfish…. we catch and release for the next lucky angler. Love it!

Beautiful fun filled property with lots of things to do. Our adult children, grandchildren and ourselves made many memories to lock away inside our hearts! Love, love this property and the owners!

There were 13 of us total, adults, teenagers and a toddler. There was ample room for all of us. The kitchen was fully stocked and roomy. We all really enjoyed the pool and all the animals (cows, horses, ducks and cat).

We had a great time with family spending time together. Deb and Tex were friendly and helpful but I haven’t needed to contact the owners for help when staying at other VRBO’s before. The door from the outside to the game room would not stay closed so we had to prop something in front of it. The water heater that went to the bathroom and master bath was not working and needs to be replaced, so the first 2 days if you took a shower it was a cold one. Deb came over when i called about being out of toilet paper and she showed me how to reset the water heater. ( it needs to be replaced because it was leaking rusty water.). Over all deep cleaning in the house and maintenance of the patio lanai needs to be done. The property advertises 2 pontoon boats but they are just for show and not functioning. The paddle boat had fire ants and when I finally got it unstuck and out of the lillypads it must have a leak because it was filling with water. There is no air hockey as advertised, the webpage needs to be updated with current description.
We still had lots of fun and the Texas Almanac was right because fishing was great. The weather was amazing for the last week of July and we had nice cooling showers. We ended our trip by visiting the Red River Valley Veterans Memorial in Paris, Tx and that was very nice.

Great Weekend getaway!
We really enjoyed our stay at Tex's Ranch! Wish it was longer! The house was clean and easy to find (with the help of the directions the owners sent us). The kitchen and griddle out back made meal preps easy and enjoyable. The pool was clean and refreshing.
We really enjoyed all the animals! Even the ducks 🤣
I really hope we can make it out again..and maybe bring the extended family next time. Thank you Deb and Tex!

Family getaway
We just spent 4th of July weekend at this place and it has 3 great bedrooms for the adults and 2 bedrooms for the kids. The bunk beds are really too high for the ceilings but if needed, you can use the top bunks.
The pool is small but a good size. We went in in stages between younger kids, teens and then adults.
It was great to see the cows, horses, ducks and geese every day.
Thanks so much for opening your farm home out to us!

Amazing trip!
My family of 20 had an amazing time at this property! The house is exactly as pictured. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. The kids enjoyed petting and feeding the horses and cows! They also enjoyed the heated pool. We caught a lot of catfish! We were able to take our atv’s and ride around the property. We would definitely stay again.
