We had a wonderful time at this house. I do t think the pictures do it justice. There are wonderful shaded balconies with views of the ocean on each of the three floors. The kitchen is well equipped. The Parilla is wonderful and wood is available. The beach is a short walk over the dunes and we enjoyed long walks every evening. Satellite TV was available to enjoy the finals of the world cup and internet was reliable. We greatly enjoyed our time together at this house and in Punta del Diablo. Thank you Matthew and Alejandro.

The Place to Stay in Diablo
This home is fantastic. The experience starts with Matthew, the owner, who is so friendly and helpful and responsive even though he doesn't live in Uruguay. The property manager, Alejandro, is right there in Diablo. He too is very friendly and helpful and available on a few minutes notice if needed. The house itself is amazing. While we were only 2, it can easily accommodate many more people. The place is cozy and has a very homey, comfortable feeling. The place is well equipped and plenty of hot water (not always the case in S. A.) The beautiful expansive beach is reached after walking through gorgeous dunes. Dry wood for BBQ and inside fires is supplied in abundance. We recommend Matthew's place without reservation. A visit to Uruguay has to include Punta del Diablo and would not be complete without spending time in Matthew's home. Jack and Michelle

Lovely home in a great town
This house had everything we could have wanted: Nice decks, a parrilla, wonderful location. We cooked a big dinner and had everything we needed in the kitchen. Matthew and Alejandro were very helpful. Punta Del Diablo is a great, relaxing beach town, with three interesting beaches to explore. Well worth a visit!

Beautiful well equipped home in a stunning location.
Matthew’s home in PdD was fantastic. Well equipped, clean and convenient yet far away enough from town that allowed peace and quiet. Views amazing. Owner always highly and promptly responsive to even the smallest question. We recommend this property without reservation to anyone. Thank you.

My husband and I booked a week in early March. We fell in love with the place right away and ended up staying in this lovely home for 3 whole weeks! The home is spacious with lots of comfortable spots to enjoy the ocean views, sunshine and cool breezes. You will find everything you need for a perfect stay. The kitchen is fully equipped, complete with our-door sitting areas & wood burning grill. You will however need to supply all food items, even pantry items/staples. We prefer to do our own cooking so we were fine with this. There are plenty of good shops for groceries near by or drive into Chuy if you dont cant find what your looking for, youll definitely find it there. If you want to dine out, there are plenty of options in town, just 5 minutes in the car. The third floor deck is an great place to take afternoon sun, have late afternoon cocktail or star gaze at night. The star are fantastic! The house stays pretty cool but the ac works like a charm if you need it.There is a brand new clothes washer and a clothes line out in the yard, so that makes life easy too.Theres a beach umbrella and beach chairs as well as beach towels available for a day at the shore as well as as a small cooler to keep your drinks cold in the hot sand! Seriously, they thought of everything! The beach is a 5 minute walk thru the sand dunes and is huge. Nice walk to the light house or to town! There are some fun things to do near by if you cant take anymore relaxation. Both the owner and caretaker can advise you. The property is clean, well kept and has all the amenities mentioned in the listing description. If you need the house cleaned or if you need anything at all just contact the caretaker Alejandro. He is terrific and came to our rescue more than once! He can give advice about things to do in the area, where to eat or drink, he can fix any problem and knows everyone in town. Hes a real gem. Oh, but brush up on your Spanish because he does not speak English. We would highly recommend this place to anyone. But definitely go for more than just few days. Its a great place to unwind, relax and enjoy yourselves! Thank you for everything. We hope to return someday!
