It was the kitchen. It brought us closer. The feel good memories we shared cooking and eating will last forever. The hughe dinning table was also used for games and arts and crafts. The whole house gave us good Vibes.

Beautiful home, spacious. Not near stores, but we knew that going in. Grounds are beautiful, kitchen well-stocked with dishes and pans, switches very well labelled, and excellent instructions left for us on-site. The gardens are top-notch, very impressive.

This property worked really well for our three-generation family gathering. The kids loved their stay in the loft, and each couple/adult had their own bedroom with ample storage space. The beds were comfortable, and the attic fan and breezes kept us cool in 90 degree weather. The garden and patio are lovely places to relax and spot salamanders, hummingbirds, and even (once!) a black bear in the back woods. The house was well-stocked with kitchen supplies necessary to feed a large family, plenty of puzzles, games and toys for multiple ages, and books. All TV and internet hookups worked well, though we didn't use them often since there was plenty to keep us busy. The bocce court was a huge hit, and we made ample use of the lower lawn for volleyball and other lawn games. The pond was a huge hit as well. We really appreciated that the hosts made life jackets and boating equipment easy to access, with jackets for every age group in our party (infant to adult). While we were traveling with some of our own boating supplies, this meant everyone could be out on on the water together. We took advantage of the great location to visit The Mount, hike some local trails, and visit Lee and Great Barrington for coffee, ice cream, and shopping. Our hosts were great communicators, too! We appreciated their diligence and responsiveness.

The house accommodated our large group wonderfully. Extremely well equipped - we cooked many large meals and found everything we needed. The property is gorgeous. We range in age from 4 to 81 and it was comfortable and fun for all of us. Thank you!!

Great location to host a large family. Our teens loved the loft. We enjoyed many hours in the library playing games and relaxing. The patio, yard games and fire pit were fantastic. The pond down the road was great for the kids fishing and for a quick dip. Beautiful property. Would love to go back!

Our family stayed in this beautiful oasis and had a great time. Everyone had a place to sleep and there was a pack n play onsite that worked great for our children.
The house sits on a hill so it is HIGHLY recommended to have a 4 wheel or ALL wheel drive vehicle.
The owners are very responsive and they were very helpful when I asked them for help with items around the house.
We would highly recommend this house to families who want to be away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The premium outlets and Big Y was 20 min away and Springfield was 45 min away. Our family took a trip to the Basketball Hall of Fame and everyone enjoyed it.

Very spacious home - perfect for 8 adults! House and amenities as described. Super easy check-in. Very well-equipped kitchen. Played indoor and outdoor games, used fire pit and watercraft. Unusually hot, humid, rainy weather made it difficult for dehumidifiers to keep up with dampness.

We loved the big country kitchen that made meal prep and mealtime so much fun for our large family.
We also really enjoyed the garden, the games, the pond for fishing and boating, and the local town beach with our littlest vacationers.
Super easy check in and check out, though I might have inadvertently swiped a box of corn starch that was not ours - whoops. Happy to replace!

The house is spacious, immaculate, and very well equipped (although some repairs on a second floor deck are still pending). We had three families stay with us, with grandkids ranging in age from 2 to 12.
Beautiful mature perennial gardens surround the house, a delight to the senses. We could spend time on the patio, which has 2 grills and a fire pit, and the kids loved exploring the woods around the home, and playing outdoor games with the equipment provided.
The adults appreciated private and comfortable bedrooms, and the kids enjoyed the beds in the loft. Storage space in each bedroom is fantastic. Ceiling fans in each room and a huge all-house fan kept us comfortable. (We needed the 2 dehumidifiers to keep the tile floors dry in the very humid 2 weeks we were there.) The kitchen was great for cooking family meals. The living room and library were comfortable for hanging out in the evenings. Yes, there are two large Smart TVs, but we never used them! There were books, board games and puzzles for all ages which the grandchildren made full use of.
Many many choices for outdoor activities! Swimming and kayaking nearby at Hayes Pond or Big Pond (Otis Town Beach-- property owner provided multiple passes). Blueberry picking, hiking, and hunting for small critters, bocce and cornhole.
It was a wonderful place for a family retreat in a secluded setting. It was easy to communicate with the owner.

The house is exactly as described, and communication with the host was great. The outdoor area is beautiful. Bocce ball was really fun. It was VERY humid, and some of the floors felt damp, but that's more due to the environment than the house itself. Definitely bring cozy socks and slippers. There were a couple minor issues: a small leak in the ceiling after a lot of rain and a broken coffee maker, but John and his wife's responses were so quick and efficient that we barely noticed.

We had 9 women 50+ who stayed for an Aging Women's gathering. The house and environment was perfect for our Gathering.
Will may be using this beautiful home, again in the future.

I stayed here with my family to celebrate my Grandpa's 90th birthday. The house was absolutely beautiful and well maintained. It is the first house that my entire family has ever all agreed on that we liked.
It was airy and spacious with a ton of comfortable furniture, not to mention how gorgeous the outdoor area was in. We changed our weekend plans just because we were so excited to cook in their kitchen and it did not disappoint.
The only thing of note, is the front entrance was a little hard for my grandpa, it is just two steps, but there is no hand rail. That said, I think this is a great place for large groups and people of all ages, it's just worth taking a little extra caution outside.
Looking forward to staying here again!

Everything is exactly as described, check in is super easy with the key code, and John was super responsive while we were there. Great time!!

House is very well designed and taken care of. Has everything you need for your stay, very lived-in (in a good way). Bocce court was a hit!

We loved the house but we arrived exhausted from oversea travels and we had to make 8 beds!!!! The thermostat did not work properly, 2 bedrooms were warm, 2 were cold with noisy heaters we had to turn down at night. I have been in the hospitality business for 12 years myself and the beds are the most important part of any rental. I would come back to this beautiful house if the beds are made before arrival.

The property & house are beautiful. It was more remote than expected but great if you wanted your privacy! The rooms are large & spacious with very comfortable beds. However it was the first time that we had to make our own beds. Not a big deal but we were surprised by that. The kitchen was outstanding! A work of art! We loved the library but were disappointed that the music didn’t work. But overall it was a wonderful house and we had a wonderful time!

We had a very relaxing stay at this property - the well stocked kitchen worked well for the 8 of us to make our meals and treats. We had plenty of room for our sit down meals and evening games around the large dining table until we went to relax in the comfortable living area. Then off to our individual beds. We enjoyed the bocce court and fire pit along with the patio area to just sit and chat. Completely enjoyed the whole 3 night expierience.

We had a reunion of 8 friends from high school. This property was the perfect venue. We had a ton of places to sleep or even get away for a break. The outdoor space was just the right place to laugh, catch up and enjoy each other. A bocci tournament was a ton of fun. It’s centrally located. Easy ride to Great Barrington, Lee, Lenox and Sturbridge. Highly recommended. Owner was extremely responsive.

Beautiful place to stay in the Berkshires. Lovely setting, spacious home, amazing kitchen. The outdoor area, fire pit, bocce court and amazing kitchen made the place a fun place to stay for a few days before dropping my oldest off to college. Owner responded immediately to a beeping smoke detecter and was easily solved. Great weekend.

We felt so comfortable here! The home is setup so well for our extended family to enjoy our annual vacation. We are 7 adults (3 couples & 1 widower) plus a grandchild. Plenty of space to enjoy indoor activities like puzzles, games, and videos plus a lovely patio and backyard bocce set for outdoor fun. We are already looking forward to a return visit! :)

This was a return trip for us - we had spent Thanksgiving at the house with the entire family and loved it. This week was a smaller crowd, and we all agreed that the summer was even better! In between fishing, swimming, playing bocce, catching frogs, or paddling around in the canoe, we caught up on reading or just hung out on the patio. The house is very comfortable, well stocked in every way and so well-kept, and the owners are quick to respond to any needs. This is a great place to go to relax and get away from it all.

This house was fabulous! We were 5 friends having a girls’ weekend. The setting was perfect for relaxation and peace. The outdoor patio was absolutely perfect for chatting, happy hour, and just having fun. The indoor kitchen had everything we needed to cook our gourmet dinners. The living space and bedrooms were spacious and clean. The owners were super responsive and helpful. I would recommend this property for anyone looking for a quiet getaway. We would definitely go back!

The house is a gem. Saw a bear cross the road about a mile from the place. Nature abounds in a remote setting which is an easy drive to Great Barrington or Lenox. All the beds were super comfortable which made our stay even more relaxing. The kitchen is a chef’s dream. Enjoyed canoeing and corn hole. Too much to do and see.

We rented this beautiful home for a week of family togetherness in honor of our Golden Wedding Anniversary, and it met all our needs, from youngest to oldest. We enjoyed confabs around the spacious dining table, evening chats around the fire pit on the patio, grilling on the propane grill, and retiring to especially comfortable king size beds. We appreciated the labels on the many drawers in the designer kitchen, as well as those identifying the light switches. The layout – two bedrooms and a bath on each side of the lovely living room and TV/library – lent extra privacy. The half bath by the front door was convenient. The teens loved having their private space in the loft. (But you might want to bring ear plugs for any early-to-bed people occupying the queen beds up there. Noise does travel up from below.) The bocce and cornhole equipment added to our enjoyment, as did the ample selection of books in the library. The WiFi worked fine, but we weren't always able to get a phone signal.
We looked at every Berkshire area possibility for our group before choosing this lovely private home in the woods. What fun the owners must have had collecting all the decorations and special touches that add to its charm.
