Was very shocked at the accuracy of the listing, house is nice with most amenities. The property comes with a covered, screened in dock and a yard for a party if needed. I will definitely be going back.

It took us a couple times around the dead end to find the little place tucked on the slope but we finally did and got settled in. Id recommend a front porch light with a sensor on it, or one of those lights that activate when it gets dark up by the entrance just in case slow pokes like us arrive after dark.
The little place is nice and cozy and the beds were nice and soft. Spare no expense when it comes to the sheets! We spent the majority of the time down on the dock no matter how windy or cold it might have been, and it was both! We caught two turtles and three Catfish on night two as well as some rain. After realizing that we forgot some of the more needed items for Breakfast, Lunch, And dinner we headed to town and had dinner and Margaritas at El Patio...FYI-The Blueberry Margarita was bigger than the catfish we caught, but be prepared to wait a while as the staff was a little slow. We picked up groceries, and more bait and headed back dockside to try our hand at some more fishing.
Spent the final night listening to pine cones bounce off the tin roof and indulging in a little WWE action.
This was a much needed breath of fresh air and the perfect place to accomplish some peace and quiet, margaritas, and Catfish!
Our thanks to the owners of the Crappie House for providing us with the perfect get away from the big city!
We will be back...when it's a little warmer! :-)

The cabin was comfortable and had outstanding views of the Lake. The area was very peaceful. The owners were very quick to respond to any issue. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a great time watching the birds and turtles, the house was great with huge windows to help with watching of all of the birds. I recommend this property if you want to get away from the city!

Great place for three to four people.
Great view and plenty of shade. If you are fishing and boating make sure the water is up or you will have to go ramp somewhere else. Deckhouse is great if water is up. Will stay again if lake is up to normal.

We enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for our family, especially the shaded lawn area which provided ample room for the children. Exactly as advertised. We'll look here again when we begin planning our annual Toledo Bend trip for next year.

I don't think we've ever stayed anywhere as wonderful as the Crappie House! It is cozy, clean, comfortable, and well stocked with everything we needed. A large porch has seating areas and beautiful, endless views of the lake! We used the launch next to the property for jet skis and we spent hours at the deck house fishing and just enjoying our time together. We were thrilled there are only two steps to navigate into the house and none to the water as we have difficulty with them sometimes. Lots of games, books, great Wi-Fi and TV, but didn't need any of them with that relaxing view!! Enjoyed reading the interesting history of the property which is posted in the hall with pictures and a narrative. The hosts are awesome, and prompt to respond to any questions we had. We love this place and definitely will make a return!! Thank you to Carol and Tom for a great Father's Day weekend!!

This place is a total GEM! It’s a time warp back to the late 60’s, early 70’s… except like all brand new! We loved it, our guests loved it, and we will be back again sometime before we become neighbors… this trip resulted in a signed purchase agreement for property nearby on which to build our forever home; whoo-hoo!

The Crappie House is heaven and we appreciate Tom and Carol sharing it with us. The view from the porch is the beat on the lake. The house has everything you could possibly need. This was our 5th time and the only negative is having to leave. Thanks again!

Great cabin, with a great view, and a nice boat ramp. I definitely would recommend it!

We had the best time at The Crappie House! The house was clean and fully stocked kitchen which was great. The location is private and not on top of other cabins. The private boat launch is steps away. The WiFi worked great as I was able to do my online classes while the kids streamed videos during down time. The owners were quick to answer any questions we had before and after booking. 10/10! We will be back!

A cold front came on our stay so was bummed out about that. Too cold and windy to do much anything. The cabin was great but the beds no so good, unless you like hard and springy. Overall it was a great cabin with Awesome view on the lake.

The house was very nice had everything we needed. We spent time sitting on the deck looking over the large lake and grilling outside. There is a nice dock which made it easy to take our boat in and out of the water.

The view of the lake from the house is beautiful! The boat house is my favorite spot on the property. My husband enjoyed spending our anniversary here because it was a place we both came as teenagers. The queen beds are terrible! They are too firm and very uncomfortable.

This was our first time with a Vrbo, and the experience was seamless! The process, accommodations, location, beautiful view, and wonderful hosts made for a worry-free and relaxing vacation.

Loved the cozy cabin with the incredible view of the Reservoir and Sunrises. Enjoyed putting a jigsaw puzzle together and exploring the small surrounding towns.

We spent 11 days here for our 30th anniversary. This property is so beautiful, the land, the house the boat house and most of all the view. For a few days there were as much as 5 of us in the house. There was a shortage of bath towels, toilet paper and trash bags for a 11 day stay I felt like those items could have been better stocked but otherwise the property had everything else we needed. Beds were very comfortable even the bunk bed for an adult. There are a few houses on the property with a shared boat launch. We have stayed at this property twice now and had the entire place to ourselves. Nobody ever bothered us once. Nothing but piece and quiet and a very relaxing time.

Great house and location. The house had everything we needed and very clean. Owners were easy to contact and answered all our questions. Highly recommend...

Beautiful location
We overall enjoyed our stay, but would not recommend that anyone book during very hot weather because the air conditioning is inadequate. We spent many hours in a house that was 85 degrees which made our guests very uncomfortable. The house cooled down when the sun went down.
I should give 4 stars, but the house is nice even if it was a sauna. Check on AC before you book.....

Awesome weekend
Property owner was very responsive. Place was clean and great location just a few steps to the water. Awesome fishing spot. The boat ramp being right there was handy. I don’t have a boat but their canoe was nice and the kids loved it. Since it’s on a slight inlet canoeing with my 3 and 4 year old was easy even solo and taking them one at a time. Highly recommend.

The Crappie House was perfect for the fishing trip we had planned. It was quiet, had a relatively private launching dock, and a breathtaking view of the lake. We had a wonderful time.

Best Lakeside Rental on Toledo Bend!!!
Excellent overall experience. Hosts are Top Notch. One of the most beautiful views on the lake. Property is located a stones through away from the legendary "Chicken Coop", which is known for it's excellent crappie fishing. I highly recommend the Crappie House, You will not be disappointed.
