Property rooms looked larger. Beds were full size not queen except loft room, king bed. I lost an earring is it possible to see if the property manager found it?

Stayed there in 2013 and now again in 2023! The cabin is truly a special place. The only downside was the 95 degree weather! Hope to get back before another ten years goes by!

We loved the history, the fun we had playing games with our family on the deck and in the yard.
The views of the lake were beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Communication with our host was responsive in a very timely manner.

Amazing Experience
Excellent property that is right across the street from the lake and close enough to local eateries or 15 mins to Helena. We had the most relaxed and pleasurable experience. Woke up to a beautiful sunrise and the lake breeze. Highly recommend.

Montana Cabin
This is a great cozy cabin and exactly what you think a Montana cabin should be. The fireplace was beautiful and inviting, deer browsed in the yard, overall relaxing with a great claw-foot soaking tub. Heaven.

Beautiful Peaceful Cabin
We loved staying at this property because of its historical value and it being located right across the street from Canyon Ferry Lake. The view of the lake was gorgeous. My favorite things about this cabin is all of the antiques used in the interior and design. Nancy and Carroll did a fabulous job. It felt like we were experiencing history with modern amenities. The beds were extremely comfortable and there was nothing missing from this cabin. We hopefully will be able to visit again as this cabin is a true treasure.

Most Unique Stay EVER
This historic cabin has it all, charm, a killer view, comfort, and a great location. Our host was so accomodating and interesting. The cabin is furnished with some amazing antiques. We made great use of the wrap-around deck and huge BBQ grill.
The cabin does not have AC, but we stayed in late July, and between a swamp cooler and many provided fans, it was comfortable.
We saw an abundance of wildlife: friendly deer, chipmunks, birds and bats.
We even got to watch a Hallmark Christmas movie being filmed on-site - it was so interesting.
We were a group of 6 friends and highly recommend this cabin.

A great property, great location with everything you need
We had a great time in this very old house (200yo!), A perfect way for us to start our journey in Montana, the charm is everywhere. Nancy and Carrol are very nice and ready to help whenever possible. Highly recommend, despite the couple of days of rain the lodge itself will be remembered as one of our highlights!!

Wonderful Relaxing Vacation!
My family of 5, including 3 teenagers, enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. The description of the cabin is just as described and fit us all perfectly. The outdoor living space and the location to the lake with amazing views is the selling point. We brought our outdoor movie screen and projector and watched movies on the deck every night while roasting S'mores in the firepit provided on the deck. We also enjoyed visits in our front yard by a family of deer. Directly across the street from the cabin is stairs leading to a small beach area on the lake. Depending on how high the water is will depend on if there is a beach area or not. When we were there, there was a small beach area. You did have to wade through a little shallow water to get to it but it wasn't bad at all. The water is cold but that is to be expected in MT and you get used to it. We enjoyed our stay so much and the communication with Nancy was fabulous. We had one issue while we were there but as soon as we told her about it it was addressed and resolved. We rented a boat for an afternoon as well as a canoe and paddle boards at Kim's Marina not far from the cabin and enjoyed that as well. I highly recommend this place if you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and just want to relax and enjoy lake life.

Impeccably maintained, endlessly interesting
Great location, total quiet enjoyment, with hiking at your doorstep. Glacier is a 3 hour drive, and well worth the trip.
The cabin is such a special place. Warm care and a sense of history are everywhere, with a kitchen that makes you want to cook (and we did!). The owners are wonderful caretakers of this special place. We were grateful to hear the stories of this cabin, and earlier times in Helena. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Did not want to leave...
We stayed for 3 days in June and the season was perfect. Cool enough to enjoy the fire pit but warm enough to take a dip in the lake. Cabin perfect for a family, so much to explore and do, cosy and super well-equipped. Just do it!!

Best little cabin at the lake
What a wonderful stay at such a unique cabin. So much character and great Decour throughout. Lots of fun hidden treasures. Will definitely be back to enjoy this property again as there wasn’t enough time to get it all in during our short stay.

Cozy historic cabin with a lake view.
This historic cabin is a DREAM! I fell in love the moment I walked in the original wood front door. The owners, Nancy and Carroll, have put a lot of love and care into this cozy cabin. All the amenities you could want plus comfortable beds, plush towels, washer/dryer, gas grill, outdoor patio, front porch, complete kitchen with every pot, pan, dish and utensil you might need. We had deer in the front yard more than once and our son loved the porch swing!! :-). The owners are very warm
and hospitable and made us feel right at home. They also were very helpful for finding out about local sights and activities. The cabin has a wonderful view of the lake and is within walking distance a sandy beach were we went swimming - plus marinas close by. So much fun!!! We will be back, for sure!

R&R At It’s Finest!!
My three boys (ages 17, 13 and 6), my wife and I came up from Illinois and stayed here for 5 days.
This place was amazing!
I loved how this had the feel of an old cabin yet it still had a modern touch to it. The Moen’s did a wonderful job with giving this place charm and comfort.
We spent the majority of the time on the front porch looking at the mountains over the lake or go out back and grill with a family game of darts.
About every night we would see a few deer and they were within 4’ from us!! There was a bald eagle sighting, a beautiful green swallow and bats.
The bats did not bother us, however it did prevent us from hanging outdoors at night (we visited in July and the bugs were pretty bad, so it wasn’t the worst thing). There were no bat sightings inside.
It is about 20 mi it’s from beautiful Helena where we would shop, take in more breathtaking sights and even a rodeo.
The lake was close by as well but the “beaches” were a few miles away, although there are some swimming and fishing holes you could probably find within walking distance.
It’s also located about 3 hours of the northern entrance of Yellowstone and 3 hours south of Glacier.
Inside there was family friendly DVDs, Roku TV and board games. The beds were comfortable and the view from the upstairs bedroom provided a magnificent view of the sunrise.
I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a “getaway.” It was quiet, convenient and the owners were a short walk away if you needed anything.
Looking forward to going back!!

Great stay!!
Our family of five spent a wonderful week at this comfy, well appointed cabin while accompanying our daughter back to Carroll College. The cabin was extremely comfortable and set the tone for a relaxing peaceful rest away from our busy lifestyle. The view of the gorgeous lake from the cabin was magnificent! The deck area of the cabin is a wonderful outdoor living space and our teens enjoyed competition at the dart board every evening. Nothing was better than the graceful deer on the front lawn and deck of the cabin and they soon became our friends.
The owners were very helpful with our requests for advice on where to fish and what to see.
We spent two days boating and exploring the public beaches on jet skis. Nighttime was quite and and tranquil and even the lightening show was memorable. The entire place was perfect.

Favorite Montana cabin
We stayed at five homes during our Montana vacation and this one was the best. It ticked all our boxes, clean and comfortable, charm galore and fantastic location with beautiful views. We enjoyed playing darts in the evening and our nightly visits from the deer. They came right to the edge of the deck and settled in to watch us play darts. Sitting around the fireplace in the evenings was a treat. Plenty of firewood and lots of other amenities . My husband fished all over Montana but the best was just a across the street and down the easy to navigate wooded steps. And lastly, good communication and trust is very important when you are renting a vacation home and Nancy and Carroll get an A+! We usually don't return to the same place twice but in this case we just might have to do it!
