About this house rental

Built in 2014, Withering Heights, located at 529 E. 9th Street is only 5 blocks from main street. Withering Heights is ready for you, your friends, family and pets as a home base for nearly every outdoor activity you can imagine. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, 1 and 1/2 baths, two bedrooms and a loft. There are beds for 8 people.
The master bedroom has a king sized bed on main level. The loft has one queen, one double futon, and one single bed. Also in the loft is a large enclosed bedroom with king bed and a balcony and a view of Turquoise Lake.
The walkout level ($150 extra/night) had one bedroom with queen bed, daybed with a trundle, full bath, living room with TV and kitchenette.
Withering Heights has an oversize attached two car garage, a smart flat screen TV and cable, WiFi, and gas logs for that cozy cabin feel.

Our group all enjoyed our stay immensely! The kitchen was awesome, we cooked a family dinner and even utilized the fondue set. The wrap around patio was refreshing with nice views. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for sharing your home!

This was the perfect amount of space and the right price for 2 adults who wanted separate bedrooms and one large dog. The house was super clean, there were clear instructions for how to work everything, and the location was perfect. Highly recommend!

My husband and I came to Leadville for the Leadville 100 run. This spacious home is in a great location just on the edge of town - nice and peaceful. We stayed for 5 nights with our 2 friends. We really enjoyed the deck and the views of the mountains. The home had everything we needed and the 2 car garage was a nice bonus. The owners were so kind and reached out to wish my husband luck in running the race. We would definitely stay here again.

Withering Heights was excellent for our family vacation. Beautiful views, comfortable home, easy walk to town and all the 10k adventures of Leadville. Bonus was having an absolutely perfect view of the 4th fireworks from the deck. The host and property manager were great to work with.

We had a great stay here with 2 pups in tow. The house was well-equipped and everything was as-pictured. I tend to pick vacation rentals based on 'this would be a nice spot to read a book' and both the deck and the living area did not disappoint. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

My husband, 5-year old son, dog, and I had a great time at this house for a long weekend from the Front Range. The proximity to "downtown" was great, kitchen was well-stocked for any cooking needs, and so many details for making our stay comfortable. The only thing to note is that the bathroom situation doesn't compliment the number of beds... there is ONE shower in the place, so no matter how many people you can sleep upstairs (with a separate toilet up there), you should plan for how many people need to shower in the downstairs bathroom. We'll be back!

Our family enjoyed our stay, the place is super clean and well stocked, especially for children with high chairs, toys, gates for the stairs and patio area as well as a pack and play. My 2 yr old niece was in heaven. Great location, right up the hill from the Main Street. Owners were responsive and very nice. We rented both parts of the house and were pleased with our stay, we will be back!

Loved Leadville, loved the house. A friend and I visited to participate in Fat Bike Worlds. Both being outdoor recreation enthusiasts, we appreciated easy access to trails, and town. We walked to restaurants. The house is as described, great views, great place. Definitely hope to be back.

We loved the view. But mostly we were blown away by all the little extras you had thought about and provided. Extras of things travelers may have forgotten like sunglasses, dog leashes... You name it. We really appreciated that everyone could leave extra teas, cooking essentials, etc. The ONLY thing we wished was different was for the 3rd sleeping area to be separate instead of the open loft. It would be great for a group with several kids, but wasn't so great for a group of 6 adults and one kid.

We loved our long weekend in Leadville. This home comes fully stocked and is very easy to live in. Our favorite part was breakfast on the balcony as the sun shone on the 14ers. So gorgeous! It's quiet and comfortable throughout.

I booked this property for me and two buddies to do the Leadville 100 MTB Camp, but unfortunately two of us were not able to get there due to flight cancellations. The third person did use it and found it to be a nice property. He was confused that we hadn't rented the whole property as the downstairs apartment was open, but it is a separate unit. After talking to the owner, he said the door should have been locked. We were able to settle it by sending him the extra two nights of rent for the extra space.

We stayed with 2 families of 4 - 4 adults and 4 kids, for a week skiing vacation. The house was clean and comfortable and provided everything we needed to make our week long vacation memorable. We loved our stay! The views are amazing and multiple 14ers are visible from the living room, with even more views from the large outdoor deck. The restaurants and shops in Leadville are just a short walk away. The house itself is in great condition and nice and clean. It was also larger than expected. My family of four were more than comfortable, and there was plenty of extra sleeping space. And just some advice if you plan on staying in Leadville- remember to acclimate beforehand, or at least take it easy the first couple days as the elevation of 10,000 feet is twice that of Denver! (Fortunately, we did and had no issues)

In a town with places to stay from very nice to condemnable, this place ranks very high! The house is new and in great shape. The view is amazing! The only issue is the only restroom on the first floor is in the master bedroom. It’s also the only shower. Not the end of the world, but definitely a hindrance. Again, can’t say enough great things!

We stayed here for the Leadville Trail 100 MTB and the house/location was perfect. They have everything you need in the house with access to the 2 car garage. Walking distance to downtown and a short drive to the Safeway from groceries. Owners were super easy to deal with and great communication. Probably the highlight of this spot is the views of Mount Elbert and mount Massive right from the living room. When we come back to Leadville, this is where I will stay again.

Very Nice Property in a Great Neighborhood

A clean, well appointed property in a great neighborhood. The views of Mt. Elbert and Mt. Massive from the great room are spectacular. This property, in our opinion, is absolutely the best property in Leadville. The only wrinkle that we saw with the property was the poorly maintained dirt driveway and swale. We had a tall van that had a hard time backing into the driveway, and I would caution any vehicle with low clearance from booking this property until the driveway and swale are updated.
