Gorgeous views from the front porch. My husband and toddler stayed here while visiting family that lives down the street. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch in the evenings after spending the day on the lake. Will return in the future!

The property was beautiful and listed accurately. The only problem we had was the internet was down the entire time. The property managers did try their best to fix it but could not. Other than that it was amazing.

An incredibly beautiful restored cabin was a perfect home base for our family vacation to Glacier National Park. Started each day with a coffee and beautiful view of Flathead Lake. Closed each day relaxing in the very comfortable cabin or by the fire pit. The hosts were very kind and checked to be sure that we had everything we needed. A great experience that we hope to get to do again in the future!

Immediately upon opening the door to this delightful cabin, it is apparent that it was designed by an Architect and deorated by a designer; form followed function. Everything is either beautiful or useful and most are both.

As we drove up the lane, we knew we were in for a relaxing few days. Everything was perfect. The house, the property, the lake view, the weather (we got lucky!). This is the place to come to unplug and enjoy. But don’t worry…you don’t have to unplug completely. The Internet works great. Although historical, the lodge is very clean, updated, and had everything we needed for our stay.
Every morning started with a walk with our pup through the orchard and ended with a campfire in the front yard. Don’t go to bed too early. The stars put on an incredible show!
I can’t recommend this place enough. After our stay, we both feel completely refreshed and reset. Thank you!

A beautifully maintained log cabin, with modern amenities while keeping the rustic character, well stocked and appointed, with great kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping quarters, beautiful lake facing deck and away from noise. A quiet retreat for a family get away. Definitely would rent again and recommed.

We loved our stay at the cabin. It’s such a great spot with a view of the lake and terrific proximity to Bigfork, Polson and many other areas. The cabin itself is so perfect! It has everything you need and is so comfortable! Our family of 5 fit perfectly.

The cabin is perfect. So authentic, clean tidy, lovely well appointed with anything you may need. Beautiful property, deck, yard, view. Loved the wood burning stove and the fire pit outside. I believe the owners have thought of everything to make sure the cabin is perfect which it is.

We loved our stay here. The views from the porch were absolutely breathtaking and we enjoyed morning coffee and sunset dinners on the porch. We explored the area nearby and saw black bears on the road just outside the cabin and in front of the entrance to Yellow Bay State Park- a momma bear with two cubs crossed the road in front of us! At the cabin we saw wild turkeys, deer and many species of birds. Loved driving up to Hungry Horse Reservoir and also checking out the state parks along the shores of Flathead Lake. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

A lovely place and location. Good proximity to the Yellow Bay State Park. The wild turkeys were a bonus on our last morning. And the horseshoe pits were used … a lot.

Beautiful Log Cabin
This beautifully restored log cabin is located in a quiet rural setting. It was clean and comfortable. There is no air conditioning, but it cools off nicely in the evenings with the windows open. There is a great view of the lake from the front porch.

Comfortable rustic cabin with a beautiful lake view
My family and I had an amazing time at the lodge overlooking flathead lake. The lodge had all we needed for home cooked meals, and was even more spacious for our family of six than we thought it would be.
The location was very convenient for day trips to Bigfork and Glacier, and was a very short drive for a day of swimming at yellow bay.

Wonderful Experience
It was absolutely wonderful staying at the historic cabin. The scenic view of the lake was incredibly beautiful, the cabin was very comfortable and quiet, and the hosts were very attentive to our questions and needs. We loved every minute of our stay and we have booked a return visit to this wonderful place. Thanks to our hosts for a very enjoyable visit. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Beautiful cabin
This place was beautiful, very clean and had everything we needed! The kids had a blast setting up and playing with the volleyball/badminton net we brought with us. We saw wild turkeys walk across the yard several times and enjoyed the cooler weather (we’re from Las Vegas 🥵) The view of the lake is gorgeous and we grilled dinner every night on the beautiful porch. My husband enjoyed looking through all the old books in the cabin. It was just a wonderful place to stay and enjoy each other’s company. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Awesome relaxing weekend
Excellent view, watched deer come up through the yard, had fun playing horse shoes with our kids and loved that the lodge didn't have a TV! 👍. We had an awesome time as a family and hope to get back again. Thank you for making this property available for people to enjoy.

Glacier Adventure
We stayed for our recent vacation to Glacier National Park. Returning to the lodge each evening was a perfect end to the day. The home was so cute, clean, and outfitted with everything we needed. One evening, we went outside to walk the dogs down the lane and were greeted by a baby moose coming down the road (probably looking to munch on some of the delicious cherry blossoms). As only the second moose we have ever seen, this was such a treat! The location has such a gorgeous view of Flathead Lake. The approximate 30-40 minute drive to west Glacier entrance is a gorgeous one, so the location was perfect for us!

Amazing!
We stayed three nights here and just loved it. Everything about the home was lovely. Don't let the retro appliances fool you...they all work like a dream and the house is fully updated. I especially enjoyed the clawfoot tub for several long soaks after a day of hiking! We had wild turkeys and deer visiting each evening and morning and the views and sunsets couldn't be beat. Not a single complaint!

Amazing View!
We enjoyed our stay at the Yellow Bay Lodge very much. The cabin was clean, well-organized and not cluttered. It had everything we wanted - a large refrigerator / freezer, a large washer / dryer, a comfy bed with nice sheets, a good shower and fluffy towels. The best part of our stay was sitting on the porch or in the chairs by the fire pit and looking at the amazing view of Flathead Lake and watching the sunset.

BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY
We stayed 4 days here and are already looking at the availability for next year to try and plan another trip.
The location was perfect for us. Right in the middle of everything we wanted to do. The property has a fantastic view of Flathead Lake and the sunsets and stars were amazing.
George and Shauna were fantastic hosts and very easily reached via phone and email during our stay.
I would love to tell people to avoid this place but that would only be so I would have more date options for next year. :-). Seriously, this property was PERFECT for us.
Thanks G&S and we will hopefully see you again next year!

A Little Piece of Paradise
We had a wonderful time! The property was exactly as listed and absolutely beautiful! George stopped by on day one to welcome us. He was absolutely fantastic about keeping us apprised of the fire at the lake, not only letting us know about the road closures and smoke, but also reaching out to let us know some rain had helped and the smoke was clearing. My husband and I hope to come back next year! We highly recommend this property! It’s gorgeous, peaceful, has a view of the lake and wonderful owners who make your stay a perfect one!

I would definitely recommend this property. George and Shauna were amazing.

Beautiful, Historic Cabin with a Tranquil View
The Gibson log cabin was one of the coziest, most relaxing places we have ever stayed. The rustically charming cabin, built in the early 1900s, felt like home right away.Tastefully, but unpretentiously furnished, it contained everything we could possibly need. Set on a rise in the middle of a cherry orchard, the cabin commands a wonderful view of Flathead Lake, including Yellow Bay. It was so relaxing to be surrounded by nothing but peace and quiet and natural beauty. The cabin is also a short distance from two charming villages - Woods Bay and Big Fork. Finally, we found our hosts, the Gibsons both attentive and gracious. We highly recommend this property.

Gorgeous area with Pristine Lake
We enjoyed our stay at the beautifully restored authentic Montana cabin very much. As some of the reviews have stated the property is more beautiful than described. Picking fresh cherries from the orchard directly behind the house was a highlight. The wildlife around the house was an extra plus: turkey, bear, Swainson’s thrush, Tree swallow, & Osprey. The bed is comfortable and the claw foot tub is great at the end of a long hiking day! Our stay coincided with a heat wave, but George provided strong fans and it cooled down at night comfortably. We enjoyed the sunsets(10:30) over looking the lake in the evening by the fire pit. Glacier National Park is a close hour away. Don’t miss Echo Lake which is also pristine and as warm as a bath. Stop at the Echo cafe, huevos rancheros was the best I have ever had!!
Also, the Swan River Trail which starts at the top of the hill from Big Fork Hotel is an awesome walk near the tops of the trees along side a rushing river. Don’t miss that either!! We would return!

Very nice all around
When looking to vacation by Flathead Lake we chose this property because of the old fashioned appearance that appealed to us and our children, & it being more affordable than other listings. We found the location great, it was tucked away from the highway with a gorgeous view of the lake. We liked that it was a bit in between both Polson & Big Fork. The chirping of the birds and views were relaxing & stunning. A few times we walked up and down the long lane for walks. We enjoyed grilling & a couple camp fires. The cabin was well kept up. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would stay here again. The only little minor complaint we have is that the plug for the sink was a little frustrating when trying to wash the dishes because it did not hold the water in well. 6 of us (Husband, wife, & 4 of our kids) stayed here and found that it was roomy enough and we never felt congested when we were all in the cabin. Highly recommend! 5+ star rating!

So much more than we expected!
We had the time of our lives at this property! There was a laminated sheet on the counter with activities and restaurants in the area that we referred to all week. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting by the fire each night and cooking on the grill. It is the perfect location with beautiful views of the lake and a very short walk to a public beach at the state park campground. The cabin had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. I would 100% book here again.

Amazing stay!
Our stay was perfect! We had beautiful views of Flathead Lake, fire pit fires and an amazing cozy cabin. It was very interesting to see the story of how the lodge came to be. It made it that much more special for us. Thank you George and Shauna!

Yellow Bay cabin
A very nice job of taking and moving an old cabin. Renovation inside is very comfortable and has everything that is needed. Outside the cabin is as pictured and is a unique rebuild and expansion on an old building. The views of FlatHead Lake are fantastic. Cherry trees were in blossom which added to the beautiful outside look. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Flathead Lk MT getaway...
Yellow Bay Lodge is a beautiful reconstructed log cabin/lodge, using logs that are 125 years old. The craftsmanship is masterful and the thoughtful conversion to include modern amenities is seamless. A wonderful site with great views of the lake... The owners are most gracious and we highly recommend YBL!

Great Place
Cozy cabin secluded from the rest of the city. Beautiful view over the lake. Only two of us stayed here but plenty of room for more. Clean and home checks out as described.

Oh so lovely!
When I was reading the reviews on this property prior to booking, several people wrote that the pictures didn't do it justice. I have to agree! This sweet cabin was so homey and warm (although it was VERY cold outside!!). The bed was so comfortable....and the pillows!! (Ohhhh those pillows! Like falling onto feather clouds!) The cabin was stocked with everything we needed and George even came over and shoveled snow off our porch and driveway. My only regret is that the weather prohibited more time outdoors (i.e. sitting by the fire pit or on the lovely veranda). We will definitely be coming back. 100% recommended.
