Ponies in Burley
An attractive and sunny cottage with excellent layout for a family holiday (open plan kitchen diner and lounge). Attractive bedrooms and bathrooms. Pretty enclosed garden. Easy access to forest, pubs, and food store. Child friendly. Granddaughter(2) impressed by livestock in the road.

A lovely comfortable clean cottage in the heart of Burley.
A lovely comfortable clean cottage in the heart of Burley. This provided us with 4 good bedrooms, family space & enough bathrooms for the 6 of us. The kitchen was well equipped & Ocado delivered to this address! The conservatory heater wasn't working but this is our only negative comment. A good holiday home that we would happily return to.

We had a very pleasant stay and everything was in good working order. If there was a negative it would be the lack of bathroom facilities on the top floor. Perfectly adequate for one couple but not ideal if more guests staying. The proprietor had kept in regular contact, equipped the cottage with everything you need and was very helpful.

A very comfortable and enjoyable holiday.
A very comfortable and enjoyable holiday. The 3 bathrooms were a great bonus given we had 3 teenagers and 3 of us were running pretty much every day. The lounge and sunroom were pleasant sitting spaces for reading or TV (with a smart TV for anyone with Netflix/Prime accounts - no DVD player). the kitchen table could happily seat 6. The only very small limitations were the lack of hanging space for clothes and perhaps the range of cookware.
The outside spaces were well enclosed for the dog and caught the sun throughout the day. The shed was fine for storing a bike or three.
The location is great for outdoors activities: it's 5 minutes on foot to some good walking/running routes and just a few minutes by car to others. We got to the beach in just over 20 minutes.
The local shop is very friendly and well stocked for at least most essentials and treats, or the large Lidl is only 10-15 minutes away in Ringwood.

We had a wonderful stay Monday to Friday, plenty of room for us 7 people and 2 of our dogs.
We had a wonderful stay Monday to Friday, plenty of room for us 7 people and 2 of our dogs. Beautiful cottage, lots of cute and pretty nik naks. More than enough crockery etc in kitchen. We didn't use the garden but it looked a lovely space if good enough weather. The owners were very friendly and helpful.
The local convenience store didn't have everything we wanted so I made a couple of trips out to a Co op which was no biggie as only 4 miles away.
We must mention the burley Inn, the food there was tremendous, especially the curry, my youngest said best he'd had, and the service was also fantastic. Wish we had of eaten there every night.
The cider pantry food was also very good, we went for cooked breakfast on our last morning.
The only downside to the cottage was I slept in the downstairs bedroom with my neice and was woken by the boiler at 5.30 every morning. Just bog standard boiler noise, nothing extreme. My neice slept through it however so make sure the heavier sleepers get that room.
All in all its a beautiful cottage in beautiful surroundings and a perfect size house for family get togethers and dogs. Definitely recommend.

Lovely location; easy access and parking; very comfortable and dog/child safe, with the exception of some poisonous berries in the garden.
One disadvantage was that the boiler is situated in the downstairs bedroom and it went on and off constantly for a long time early every morning. This did not aid my sleep after about 6.00 am.

There are no words to describe how much we loved this cottage, every single detail had been thought of and the obvious care and thought that had gone into the decoration, the layout and the equipment really shone through. To say we felt welcomed and at home is an understatement our only regret is that we didn’t book for longer as a week was way too short.

Just back from a wonderful Easter weekend break at Mast Cottage. It is a beautiful, well equipped cottage set in a quiet location but just a short walk from Burley centre. We very much enjoyed the local pubs, walks in the forest and a trip to Mudeford Quay for crabbing.
