We stayed here for two nights to celebrate my 60th with female members of the family. It was brilliant. Everyone enjoyed it. It had even been decorated for Christmas. Would definitely go again.

Lovely house.
Lovely house. All comfy and clean. Stayed with female relatives- just a relax and catch up and a few drinks. Loved the party room and hot tub. The patio outside kitchen was a sun trap and we spent most of our time out there enjoying the lovely September sun. Beds were very comfy and lovely bathroom and showers. Amy was very helpful and friendly.

A beautiful house and garden on edge of Peak District, perfect for exploring and then coming back to soak in the hot tub. Spacious and comfortable. Two reasons for not giving full marks - WiFi is not great and non-existent in certain areas of house eg living room, some bedrooms - obviously depends how important this is to you. Also we had an issue on arrival - having agreed the keys would be ready from 3pm we arrived to find the owner still there and so didn’t have full access to the house till approx 4.45pm. She said this was because of the extra Covid cleaning which would have been fine but actually there was no evidence of this, cleaning was ok but not that great - I later discovered broken glass in the sink and a wine bottle left in the bedroom. This didn’t make a great start to our holiday which is a shame as otherwise it was really good and the owner seemed like a nice person.

Beautiful house.
Beautiful house. Everything we needed for our stay was provided. Owner was lovely. Had a great first night in the bar/games room and a very relaxed second night in the hot tub. We are already arranging dates for our next stay, we can't wait.

As a group of 4 couples, this was perfect for us.
As a group of 4 couples, this was perfect for us. Large comfortable living room, great size dining room linked to the kitchen by a serving hatch which made life much easier! Kitchen is huge and well equipped. Dishwasher came in handy every day and the large cooker made life easier for cooking for 8 people. Everything you would want in a kitchen provided ( toaster, 2 kettles, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge freezer in kitchen and small fridge in bar, teapot and coffee pot.) The bar/games room is FANTASTIC! completely soundproof with DJ decks, lights and smoke machine , and as mentioned extra fridge in the bar. When we closed the door to the games room and went upstairs you couldn't hear our music at all! Hot tub is great and under cover, easy to operate. 3 big double bedroom which are comfortable to live in and one very small double which you cannot unpack in as there is only wardrobe, small bedside table and the bed.
Shower room is great to be separate as well as the bath/shower/toilet room. 2 downstairs toilets , one being outside the hot tub room which makes life a lot easier.
Nice and secure with electric fronted gates, long drive way and massive garden.
Cleaning products were provided such as dishwasher tablets, bin bags, toilet rolls, washing up liquid, tea towels.
Down sides to this accommodation
- Cobwebs around some rooms.
-Kitchen utensils/crockery/trays etc not that clean but this isn't the owners fault as the previous guests should have left them clean.
- doors didn't shut properly (toilet by hot tub and shower room) Awkward with people walking in!
- Kitchen double doors didn't open as easy as the key was rounded off and wouldn't unlock.
-Again not the owners fault but had a leak from the shower/bath room into the kitchen whilst we were there but the owners husband came round the same day to reseal the shower.
- Drawer front in kitchen was broke and hanging off.
- Front door handle came off when trying to close door once but never happened any more in the rest of our stay.
Overall this house is fantastic for groups of people like we were but I do think a little time and TLC in the maintenance and cleanliness would excel this property.

We had a lovely week at Springfields, we found it a very homely house.
We had a lovely week at Springfields, we found it a very homely house. The hot tub was great after walking in the pouring rain (we were slightly unlucky with the weather!) and there is plenty of space for everybody to relax. Unfortunately we didn't get to spend much time in the beautiful garden but did enjoy a barbecue one evening. I think people need to be aware that this is not a luxury 'show home' kind of place, if you are looking for a pristine house with everything perfect and new then this is not the place for you, however if you like a quirky place it definitely is! People should also be aware the house is on a busy, noisy road so again, if that would be a problem for you then maybe look elsewhere.

The owner of this property is great and easy to contact.
The owner of this property is great and easy to contact. The actual property its self is super. We held a hen do here and the facilities were great. The hot tub was lovely and the bar area was great for a mini disco. The outside grounds are lovely to. The beds were very comfy and the property had a large dining area and living room. Yes it could do with the odd lick of paint here and there but other than that it was perfect for what we hosted it for. Only a 20 minute drive to go ape to which was a great day out. I would definitely recommend this property.

We had a fantastic stay at Springfield's, the owners were there to meet us on arrival and were friendly and helpful both throughout our stay and in all communication before and after.
The cottage and grounds were beautiful, warm, fully equipped and comfortable. The bar area and hot tub were a fantastic addition and well utilised by us!! We would definitely return.
The only tiny issues we found were the the TV in the lounge seemed to have a poor signal and we couldn't locate the dvd remote and the shower door in the main bathroom didn't close properly. None of this hampered our stay though. Looking forward to returning.
