Booked this pretty much last minute.
Booked this pretty much last minute. The photos do not do this property much justice. The location and views are stunning.
Being covid aware at the moment, the property was spotlessly clean and hand sanitisers provided.
The furnishings all modern and comfortable.
The owner was very responsive to a couple of queries we had
Some lovely local walks on the doorstep and easy access to Skye.
I would highly recommend this property

Excellent location & modern, comfortable cottage.
Excellent location & modern, comfortable cottage. Plenty of space but hard to imagine for 8. Good kitchen space; careful to close fridge door properly. Parking possible but not always within 5 houses of the property.
Overall wonderful holiday experience.

House in excellent position for views and for village facilities.
House in excellent position for views and for village facilities. Cleanliness very good and sanitising done. Housekeeper was very helpful to meet our needs.
Since commenting on previous years visits, appreciated that shower over bath fixed and new bedding covers supplied. Some crockery replaced.
Fourth bedroom has a sofabed and is situated off upstairs living area and away from the other bedrooms and all toilets/bathrooms which are downstairs.
The house could do with some outstanding outside remedial general maintenance work being undertaken to improve its appearance at the back of the house etc. The lounge would benefit from having working French Doors.

A very comfortable and well appointed cottage in a beautiful location.
A very comfortable and well appointed cottage in a beautiful location. We really enjoyed the open plan setting of the lounge/kitchen, the gorgeous views across Loch Carron and the local crags and found the bathrooms and most bedrooms to be spacious and of a good specification. Some minor niggles, the 4th bedroom on the 1st floor has a (small) double sofa bed which would be a struggle for a couple for a week and the TV/DVD mentioned on the website was not in the room when we stayed. Also access to the balcony/terrace is only possible through this room because the patio door from the main room is not functioning - this really should be fixed particularly as it has been mentioned in several reviews dating back years.

Have used this house for some years.
Have used this house for some years. It’s position in village is fantastic.
House is needing some jobs done, eg hand held shower over bath not acceptable in a house of this standard.... now outstanding for over a year. A few other jobs need undertaken and some replacement of household items would bring this house back up to its initial impeccable state. Hopefully the owner will undertake to remedy.

Great cottage and we love staying there.
Great cottage and we love staying there. However we think it was unacceptable for a cottage of this size that the second shower was not working and we had not been warned of this in advance. Also the patio doors which were unable two years ago are still not fixed! This cottage needs some maintenance.

Second visit.
Second visit. We reported the broken over-bath shower a year ago, still not fixed. Arrived to a cold house with no way to turn on heating. Landlord did get this sorted but overall welcome was non existent, not juts the heating but nothing in the way of a typical cottage rental eg bread/milk and above all some logs for the burner in winter.
The house is getting tired and needs some tlc and a more coherent caretaker/landlord set-up, perhaps just taking the great location as enough.
Having said that it is a lovely house and we love being there. The Sunday-Sunday rule is a problem as shorter breaks in winter would be attractive. Also Sunday starts rule out anyone taking the London night train to Fort William as it doesn't run on Saturday night.
