300 metres from beach, this light and airy detached bungalow is set away from the road down a long private driveway. It is a perfect holiday hideaway.. 1 step to entrance.

Bedroom 1: Kingsize (5ft) Bed Ensuite: Bath, Toilet
Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds
Bedroom 3: Bunk (3ft) Beds
Shower Room: Shower, Toilet. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair (available on request). Enclosed garden with patio, barbecue, and furniture. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. . Just 300 metres from the beach. Situated 300 metres from the beach, this holiday home lies close to the village of Elmer and within half a mile along the beach of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which stretches several miles from Elmer to Littlehampton. The beaches in this area remain quiet, even during the busiest summer periods and with man made rock islands just off the shore and accessible at low tide, the beach is wonderful to explore and is ideal for swimming, fishing, windsurfing and walking. Elmer is an ideal location to explore many of the attractions of the south coast from bustling Brighton, 25 miles, to the east to historic Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight to the west. In between there are beautiful places such as Chichester with its cathedral and festival theatre, quaint Arundel, 5 miles to the north with its castle, river, antique shops and famous wetland bird centre, Goodwood and Fontwell race courses and the beautiful South Downs are all close by. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

The property was very cute and comfortable. Packed with all the comforts of home. The courtyourd garden was a sun trap and had lively flowers. We stayed for a week and had a wonderful stay.

The cottage is in a great location a short walk to the beach. It was spotlessly clean and the beds were really comfortable. Nearby Arundel was interesting to visit plus lots of walks on the beach and the nearby woods. Despite the stormy weather the cottage was lovely and warm. The only negative is the extremely narrow driveway which is not suitable for large vehicles. Nothing that can be done about this however and most small cars would be able to navigate it unscathed. Lovely cottage. 5 adults, 1 child and a dog. Plenty of room for us and close to the beach/local amenities. The cottage had everything we needed for the week. Lovely setting. We were worried when we saw that the cottage was behind other bungalows, but we shouldn’t have been. It was a lovely cottage, set back from the road, so no passing traffic noise and close to 3, yes 3 pubs in walking distance and of course the beach!

Another lovely holiday at Cockle Cottage. The local people at Middleton-on-Sea are most welcoming. Always look forward to the homemade biscuits on arrival. The dog had a good time walking on the beach and paddling in the sea. Lots of nice meals out in the local pubs serving great food.

A very comfortable and well kept property. They definitely deserve 10 out of 10. Could not fault it well worth a try.(see for yourself you won't be disappointed) . I would definitely book again as this was 1st. visit to cockle cottage But have stayed at mussel cottage 4 times. Both properties very high standard.

This was our second visit to Cockle Cottage, we love it and so does the dog. The Cottage is lovely and private with only a short walk to the beach. There is plenty to see and do in the area. The Beresford is a lovely friendly pub serving great food.
