Lovely break away.
Lovely break away. Nice villages about 10 minute car journey away with shops/ pubs and restaurants. Hot tub was great in a private garden not overlooked. On arrival we were welcomed with a few gifts including biscuits and a box of chocolates. Would stay here again!

A warm and comfortable cottage in a superb location.
A warm and comfortable cottage in a superb location. The rooms are large, the kitchen well equipped and everything was in excellent condition and spotlessly clean. The cottage is nice and private and has its own hot tub in it's little garden area and there is a verandah with table and chairs overlooking the valley, perfect for meals or just enjoying a cuppa or a glass of wine or two. There was even a welcome pack of milk and other goodies waiting for us on arrival. There is wi-fi in the cottage and we found it to be reliable.
There are some easy, clearly marked walks around the valley which give lovely views of the area. There is also a little games room with a table tennis and pool table. The town of Knighton with shops, pubs and places to get food is only a 15 minute drive and The Castle pub at Knucklas, five minutes away, is definitely worth a visit.
The cottage is located on a farm in a peaceful valley and is perfect for a complete break away from everyday life. One highlight was gazing at the stars on a clear night; an incredible sight! We absolutely loved our little holiday here and we will definitely be back!

Superb location, peaceful, set in beautiful countryside.
Superb location, peaceful, set in beautiful countryside.
Ideal for couples or families. Shared games room on site, football net in garden, badminton rackets & other games for family to enjoy at property.
Delicious welcome pack.
Hot tub overlooking the countryside.
Only reason marked 9/10 as shower is sourced from bore hole so pressure very low but wouldn’t stop us booking again.

Wonderful holiday, very lucky to get great weather.
Wonderful holiday, very lucky to get great weather. The location may seem remote, however there is so much to do and see if you take a short drive. Local town of Knighton was great, loved the Horse & Jockey for eating out, food was great. Good size Co-op for essentials & good service. Service poor at Costcutter & more expensive. Had some fantastic trips to Brecon, Hereford, Go cart track at Hereford raceway, lots of walks & great to get back to the hot tub to unwind after an action packed day out. The views from the cottage are just breath taking.Nice surprise to get some extras at the cottage on arrival, a very thoughtful touch from the owners. Great to have a games room with pool table & table tennis. Highlight for my wife was the washing machine & hoover! A minor point on cleanliness which could have been slightly better but in no way affected our overall experience. I would return here in a heart beat! We should have been in Portugal but was cancelled, think we had a better time in Wales. Great memories.

We had a lovely stay at red kite, the owner was extremely accommodating and helpful.
We had a lovely stay at red kite, the owner was extremely accommodating and helpful. The location was perfect for what we wanted and the cottage was lovely. No complaints at all.
Only thing to mention was that We were a party of 4 and had 4 cars and the parking outside the cottage only has room for 1, however the owner helped by identifying somewhere to park very close to the cottage.

We stayed at Red Kite Cottage in May this year and had such a relaxing time.
We stayed at Red Kite Cottage in May this year and had such a relaxing time. The cottage was easy to find with the instructions provided by the owner and was in the middle of the beautiful Shropshire Hills. When we arrived we were greeted with a welcome pack for the humans and the dogs which was a lovely touch. The cottage was equipped with everything you could need for a great weekend away & was so peaceful. We used the hot tub every night and even managed to use the BBQ despite the weather. Travelled into Knighton a couple of times for dog walks which were lovely and visited the pubs there which were great - only took 10 minutes to get there and had everything you need! Would definitely recommend staying in Red Kite Cottage.
