The property is everything that is listed in the advert and more. The cottage is in a fantastic stone village within easy walk to the Dale's. We had a very relaxing stay. There are Pubs and shops within an easy 2min walk. The location was handy for us to spend a day in York and a day in Chester and north Wales. We would highly recommend this property.

A great cottage. Not over-modernised and not "in your face twee/olde worlde". An ideal place to unwind.

Overall a nice little cottage and would stay again, but just a couple of things I should point out, the fridge needed defrosting and seals needed cleaning, the oven needed some real attention it was very greasy, there was a resident mouse in the kitchen, need to be warned about set traps. May help by putting a stair gate at the top of the stairs because I missed the steps coming out of the bedroom, just managed to grab the bathroom wall which saved me from falling down the stairs, really very scary, thing I would sleep in the other bedroom next time.

Overall cottage was lovely.
Overall cottage was lovely.
Very cosy. Had everything you needed.
TV signal was poor. Couldn’t watch some channels possibly due to wind.
There was an overpowering damp smell. Was wet whilst we were there and couldn’t really open windows for fresh air as was cold so this may have made things worse.
Cottage was warm and fire easy to use.
Would I stay again. Yes ideal for what we needed.

Lovely little cottage.
Lovely little cottage. Very well equipped & comfortable. Great location.
Roadside parking can be a bit tight at busy times, especially if you have a big car, but this was not a problem for us.

My husband and I recently stayed for a few days at Michill Cottage with our 3 dogs.
My husband and I recently stayed for a few days at Michill Cottage with our 3 dogs. We found the cottage welcoming, and the location was excellent as it was based in the heart of Castleton. There were lots of shops, restaurants, and pubs within easy walking distance. Most of these were dog friendly.
The only complaint we had was the TV was too small, and being pensioners we struggled to watch it comfortably.

We had an excellent stay at Michill Cottage.
We had an excellent stay at Michill Cottage. Location was excellent, near all the amenities of Castleton but quiet location. A great bakery and local pubs to eat. Parking was fine as we managed to fit our car in the space opposite.
The cottage was well equipped and cosy. The gas fire was great.
Our first visit but plan to return next year.
