Our second visit to The Garth .
Our second visit to The Garth . It is an exceptional cottage to stay in from all perspectives - great location with a wonderful panorama . Beautifully warm, clean and comfortable with amazing attention to detail when it comes to decor and the practicalities of a self catering holiday - even for the dog ! Have already booked for next year . The red squirrel in the garden is an extra treat. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

This is an excellent holiday home in a perfect location for some of the most dramatic and picturesque parts of the Lake District. There are Herdwick sheep, donkeys and llamas grazing in the grounds and we got to watch the sheepdogs practising some herding! The photos on the website do not do it justice - all the rooms are modern, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. There are lots of thoughtful additions that made our stay more comfortable, such as a large size coffee pot, hot water bottles and fresh cut flowers. The kitchen in particular is well stocked with masses of cupboard and fridge space, which really helpful when cooking for a crowd! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Our time at the Garth was particularly good for me because I am disabled. The house is very good with respect to access , I could get my powered wheelchair in the porch easily. We stayed entirely on the ground floor which was very spacious it had a bedroom with an en-suite. The owners were really nice and helped me out when I needed it. Also gave me scones on arrival ! From the door were some easy paths into the countryside. We very much enjoyed our stay. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We have been here a number of times and when we come it always feels like home from home. The views are wonderful and the owners are very kind and as it was Christmas had decorated the cottage for us. Animals on the farm were entertaining, although look out for the pheasant!
