About this house rental
*New for 2021/2022 a brand new $200,000 salt-water heated pool with a 15-person in-ground hot tub. It's amazing* - We spent the bulk of the 2020 pandemic using the house ourselves and doing major upgrades and restorations. The house is in tip-top condition.
This is a seven-bedroom, five-and-a-half bathrooms home located on the 13th hole of the Ritz Carlton Oconee golf course in the Reynold’s Lake Oconee community. *also new - We just spent $3500 to have a business-class wifi system put on the property for super fast and stable wifi that covers every square inch of the property. It's a massive house with lightning-fast service throughout.
This is a large home built recently with a game room including a tournament nine-foot pool table, solid wood foosball table, 8 person poker table, ping pong table, gas grill, multiple decks, beautiful view, two kitchens, two fireplaces, gourmet kitchen, three dining areas and more!
This luxury, non-smoking home is within walking distance of the Ritz Carlton and all of its amenities. *note that during the pandemic, not all amenities are open to guests - it's best to check with us for the latest update.
An extremely large 80 inch OLED TV is in the house. There is everything you expect a home like this to offer. The chef's kitchen is fully stocked with all supplies.
Reynolds Lake Oconee is known worldwide for its great amenities and 99 holes of golf, all located 75 miles (one hour) from Atlanta or Augusta, Georgia. This is a top destination for golf in the southeast. Robb Report has selected Reynolds as “Best of the Best Golf Community” and a top golf destination in the United States. Zagat and Conde Nast also have rated Reynold’s Lake Oconee as a top golf destination in the United States. Please note that as of right now, they are not allowing us to book tee times for guests if a member isn't playing with you. You'll want to book at least one room at the Ritz if you intend on playing these courses. Another option is to book the Harbor Club next door. They allow public bookings.
In addition, the Ritz-Carlton Lodge is located two miles from the home. Guests have access to the Ritz’s restaurants and a full-service spa for a small daily fee per person. The Spa features 19 tranquil treatment rooms, including one couples suite, four wet treatment rooms, and separate gentlemen and ladies lounges, saunas, steam rooms and whirlpools, and a full-service salon. *note that during the pandemic, not all amenities are open to guests - it's best to check with us for the latest update.

We enjoyed the house very much! The presentation was super clean and neat. Although the weather was HOT, the pool was great! The kitchen had everything that you need to host your family. The great room had plenty of seating to watch the first weekend of college football. Thanks to Mr. Latona for being a great host!

Over all had a great vacation. Did have issues with the pool. The property manager could not have been more accommodating and had the pool company on site. Addressed the issue but two days later had the same problems again. Pool staff said it could be issue with the equipment. The owner extended our stay two extra days for the inconvenience. Very apologetic and understanding. Might want to consider a new pool company. The home was perfect for us with six adults and seven children.

My family and I had a wonderful stay! So much room! Great communication with Rick. We loved everything about this place

This property exceeded our expectations. It was a wonderful home for a multi-generational family vacation. The pool and hot tub was perfect for adults, teens and younger children. We especially appreciated the two umbrellas located in the pool/hot tub during the day. There are many indoor activities as well, whether escaping the heat or a rain storm. The kitchen had everything we needed to make large family meals, with many high end appliances.
Kudos to Rick, the owner, who responded quickly to questions prior to our stay and especially to an issue during our stay.

Pros: Lovely flow to living area; guests can be together, but engaged in different activities, conversations.
There was a small problem with the hot tub. The property manager responded immediately and issue was resolved.
Cons: There are four bedrooms downstairs. Two have en-suite… but one of those is used by the other two bedrooms as well.
Also, two of the downstairs bedrooms have no windows.
The upstairs decks both need significant work.
We had a three generation 5 night, four day stay that was truly lovely.

Home was in great location for our golf trip. Most courses within 2 miles. Plenty of space for 8 adults, all having our own beds. Great recreation area and hot tub after golf. Plenty of kitchen space to cook our dinners. Publix was only 5 miles away. Only negative being we could not get stoves in main kitchen to work and pollen covered all of outside furniture. Would highly recommend and stay there again.

In town for a wedding and had four generations together. Great place for all ages, with amenities for each generation. Host was excellent with communication and the home was more splendid than the photos. Would definitely recommend this place and we are hopeful of returning.

Rick did a great job making our stay as easy and convenient as possible. Went out of his way to help us out in numerous ways even when it was extra work and time for him to spend helping us. Everything was great.

This home is spacious and well appointed. Plenty of space to spread out so we were not all on top of each other. The teenagers and young adults enjoyed the pool table. We swam, played games at the large kitchen table, went water skiing and tubing at the lake. (Less than 15 minutes away.) I would highly recommend renting from Young Harris Water Sports Lake Oconee Marina (boats and jet ski rental) Parking is easy and the staff are wonderful!
Everything was perfect. Publix is five minutes up the road and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. I would highly recommend this home!

Fun Weekend at Reynolds Lake Oconee
We booked this house to meet up with our family for a fun weekend. The house worked well for us and gave everyone plenty of space. The neighborhood is beautiful and very quiet. It's also convenient to outdoor activities and nearby shopping and restaurants.

Beautiful home, great pool, excellent Owner / manager
Rick is an excellent host. Both he and Alexis (property manager) answered the phone right away when I called. He was quick to respond to messages and was very accommodating.
Access to the neighborhood through the gatehouse was a breeze and the home door code worked the first time. The home is large but cozy. The layout is great for large groups. We had 19 total people that ranged from 70+ year old adults to 20 month old kids and we never felt crowded. Most bedrooms have their own bathroom with a shower and/or tub. The kitchen has plenty of plates, glasses and flatware for everyone to eat. There is a second kitchen downstairs with more glasses and plates and a second dishwasher and fridge so you can keep plenty of food and beverage cold for your stay. The weather wasn't perfect (mostly rain) while we were there but there was plenty to do inside with a pool table, foosball, cards, ping pong and space to layout a puzzle if you want. Despite the rain it wasn't very cold weather even though it was December. Rick had the pool heat on from early morning so it was about 80F by the time the kids wanted to jump in after breakfast. The heat switched to the hot-tub in the afternoon and would heat up to about 103F or so. The pool is very nice and the hot tub is huge.
We were able to cook big meals each day using the pots and pans that were there. It's a propane stove so I should have brought a skillet to make cooking eggs and pancakes easier (I'll know for next time). There is a second oven and a microwave which was very helpful for large meal prep. The Publix supermarket nearby was helpful so we didn't have to bring all the food for our stay with us.
Because of the bedroom layout, we were able to put the kids to sleep and still hangout upstairs without waking anyone up. The large OLED TV upstairs was great for watching New Year college bowl games.
If you're going to have a large group, I recommend bringing a few extra towels for the pool / hot tub. There are 8 provided. Also, if you have a young toddler you might want to bring a tension baby-gate for the top of the stairs.
Overall great experience and we would definitely stay here again. Maybe we'll try a summer stay next time.

Thanksgiving at Reynolds Plantation
Excellent time had by 15 of us in this beautiful home. The amenities were plentiful and communication from owners was quick. We would enjoy staying here again. The kitchen was super stocked for all of our chefs. The time went too fast and some fine memories have been made. Thank you!

Great place for extended family.
We stayed at this beautiful home. We were 3 families of five..15 in total. Plenty of room for everyone to feel comfortable. Everyone enjoyed the pool. The kitchen was stocked with any tools needed to cook a nice meal. 2 coffee pots & a Keurig. Two kitchens with plenty of room for food, drinks and ice. The neighborhood was absolutely beautiful. Very quiet and private. Located close you supermarkets, CVS, restaurants and more. Also 10 minutes drive to the lake and water sports as well as the Ritz Carlton. Would highly recommend. Also Rick had an immediate response with any questions I had.

Beautiful House in Reynolds Lake Oconee
The house was perfect for our needs, the pool was magnificent. The owner was very responsive to all our needs and questions. Plenty of room and the amenities kept everyone occupied - pool table, card table, ping pong, foosball, cornhole, games, etc. Pricing was very fair but our expectations for access to outside amenities fell short. Based upon the information supplied by the owner, we expected to be able to play the Reynolds golf courses but that was not true. We ended up playing Golf at the Harbor Club and enjoyed the course. Overall we had a great time but disappointed the marketing didn't match reality.

Great stay and perfect for large group with young children
This property did not disappoint. Like any rental, there is continual maintenance needs/requirements but owner was extremely responsive and we had a great stay with plenty of linens, towels, toiletries available to our group by the owner. This house has everything you need during your stay including 2 kitchens with everything for cooking, cleaning and serving. I would recommend this property and the pool is great!

Loads of amenities for our family reunion. Pool ,hot tub, and game room were enjoyed by young and old. Lovely home and view of golf course. Very quiet neighborhood and plenty of room to spread out. Our granddaughters loved the children's suite on the third level. Great place for our family!

Friends Reunion
We had a great trip! Our group of 20 had plenty of space and bathrooms and tables to eat. We loved the pool and hot tub. We spent a day on the lake as well which was beautiful. The golf course view is beautiful but just look, don’t touch. 😜. The main level AC struggled one day but the property manager had a technician out within hours and it worked fine after that. The property owner was great with answering all of our questions prior to the trip. We would definitely return!

Enjoyable weekend.
We had a great time. The property is great. Plenty of room for getting together.
Even with the restaurants and golf courses limited or no access due to their fear of COVID-19, there was plenty for all to do.
Wonderful place.

We had 18 people / 3 generations from the same family - grandparents, children / spouses, and grandchildren. We had plenty of room and were never on top of one another despite being in the house for the entire week due to COVID concerns and being very cautious about venturing out to local stores and attractions.Bedrooms are good, with bathrooms en-suite for the master and other bedroom on main floor. The upstairs bedroom also has a bathroom, but this room has two twin beds and a couch that can sleep two, but I would not expect an adult to sleep well on the couch (the kids did fine with it). The downstairs bedrooms are configured with a bedroom and bathroom, a bedroom and bathroom that is also accessible from the hallway, and two bedrooms that do not have bathrooms attached. There is a half bath between the rooms, but the guests in these rooms will need to use either the shower accessible from the hallway or someone else's en-suite bathroom. With 5 households we drew straws to assign the downstairs rooms. While not ideal, it worked out. The one room has two queen beds with a headboard between them. We had four boys with us and it worked well. There is a kitchen (less an oven) in the downstairs and a full kitchen on the main floor. It is a fully functional home from a utensil and appliance standpoint. Only item missing would be a griddle for pancakes, but they have multiple toasters, coffee machines, and even a waffle iron. There is seating at the bar for 8 and at the table for 10, so we had not problems dining each night. For the size of the home, a bigger couch in the living room would be desirable, but there are plenty of chairs you can pull up. Fireplaces are on the main floor (living room) and downstairs (game room). Game room has a pool table, foosball, and a poker table. We brought an Xbox and plugged it in there and the kids spent most of the week in this area of the home. The house is equipped with a lot of games. Board games, cards, etc. There is also cornhole, ping pong, some basic workout items, and golf clubs. There is plenty to do here. The pool is amazing. This is the best selling feature of the home by far and will not disappoint. The only downside is the two bedrooms near the pool equipment are a bit noisy overnight.Rick was great to work with and was responsive from the booking through check out. I highly recommend and would like to go back and play a round of golf. The view is exceptional and we would 100% stay again.

Fantastic Thanksgiving House
What a great house for our family's Thanksgiving gathering place this year. The house is BIG and most bedrooms have a connecting bathroom, which makes it ideal for multiple couples. The kitchen is ideal for cooking a Thanksgiving feast, with just about every kitchen gadget imaginable. All Clad pots and pans, an immersion blender, multiple coffee makers and an espresso machine and 2 ovens, a wonderfully well stocked kitchen! The ping pong table, the weight equipment, pool table and poker table kept the family entertained! The golf course behind the home is lovely. One evening we saw a deer pass with her 3 little ones around sunset. On top of it all Rick and Alexis were so fantastic to communicate with. They were both responsive to any questions I had along the way. We were very pleased our stay!

So much space
We really enjoyed our time at this property. There is tons of space and beds galore. The kitchen is well stocked and making big family meals was easy. We had a few issues with garbage but they were dealt with very timely. The house has definitely been lived in, but that being said we would stay here again. They also had tons of games and activities in the house for the kids. They even had bikes and a scooter to use.

Ritz home
This home is very large and was able to
Fit our family well . We did have a few minor issues ( air froze over first night and key pad for entry went dead and we had to use garage door to enter and leave ). I will say that although we had these issues the owner Ric and his daughter were very helpful in trying to resolve our problems. I did discuss with the owner that he may want to replace his cleaning company as the bathrooms were not very tidy but that is certainly not his fault and he was very receptive to the recommendation. We would certainly recommend this home . The owner also said the home would be undergoing further renovations this year and a new gym and activities would be added this year so that is exciting to see in the future . Thank you again for the use of your home .

Beautiful property with enough room for all 13 of us. Disappointed we could not use the golf course and the pool due to Covid, which was restricted to members only. Pontoon boat rental was great and easy to do.

Fun replacement for our cancelled cruise
Last year we booked a cruise with another family that was supposed to sail in August 2020 but was canceled due to Covid. We wanted a drivable vacation we could enjoy with the other family and found this home - it was perfect for the 4 adults, 5 teenagers, and the younger 10 year old. On the one rainy day and the evenings back at the house we enjoyed the basement game room and the larger driveway for games we brought along (cornhole, etc) and the huge screen tv in the main room was perfect for the NHL hockey matches the boys played on the Xbox they brought along. There were plenty of bedrooms / bathrooms for everyone to spread out. We were disappointed that the Ritz was closed to non hotel guests right now due to Covid but were told that by the owner ahead of time and offered a refund if that was an issue since it wasn’t clear when we booked. The Publix near by delivered via Instacart and there were several great restaurants that had outdoor seating nearby as well. We rented a Pontoon boat through the house owners one day, one through a public boat rental company another day (so we could pull a tube with it), rented ATVs another day at a place about 30 mins from the house, and one day was spent paddle boarding on boards we brought with us. Only changes I would suggest to the house descriptions are- remove the picture of the speed boat and picture at the dock - this along with the fact that I had searched for waterfront properties made it appear the house was on the water when it is not. It is about a 7 minute drive to the marina which was easy and inside the gate of the community. Also, the description mentioned the owners boat being available for rental but it was sold so that should be removed from the description as well. I saw a reference in someone’s review of a firepit but the closest thing we found for that was some stones near a tree that would have been a fire hazard if used as a fire pit. The cabinets were well stocked with dishes and cooking ware. The stove was a little tricky as others have mentioned but once we figured out how the burners worked all was good! We brought along our own spices, ziplock bags and a little Tupperware for snacks while boating which was helpful. All around a great trip - the owner and property manager were very responsive to all inquiries!

Family Vacation 2020
This was our first time to visit Lake Oconee! The house was perfect for our family of eleven. COVID-19 slowed us down a little but it also was nice just to spend time together. The guys enjoyed playing golf at The Harber Club, the ladies enjoyed relaxing massages at the Therapeutic and wellness Spa, and the whole family enjoyed boating on Lake Oconee. We will definitely come one day!
