Excellent Monterey Experience
The home is in a great location with short drives to the area beaches, shopping and more. The neighborhood is very quite and peaceful. The owner, Susan, is an excellent host and ready to help out with any questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location, great view, delightful all around
This was the perfect place for us. My wife and I rented this home for 3 months while I was working in the area. It's multiple bedrooms and 2 bathrooms gave us great flexibility as we had friends and family visiting almost every weekend. The owner and her husband were wonderful to deal with, although we had no major issues with the property. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable and the furnishings and decorations were thoughtfully done. They provided passes to the Aquarium which allowed us to take our visitors there at no extra cost (we bought memberships for ourselves as it is a truly magical place). The excellent restaurants nearby are too numerous to count. The walking/biking trail around the peninsula starts nearby and is stunning. We saw sea lions, sea otters, and even a few whales from the shore! We'd definitely recommend this home to friends and family and hope to be back soon ourselves.

Perfect house for a coastal getaway on a great location!
This house is just perfect! My family and I were there for a long weekend and found everything we could have needed there, and the location is great - you can even walk to the Aquarium! The place is clean, beautifully decorated. Tina was also extremely communicative and kept us in-the-know of everything and responded extremely quickly to my question.
Would highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay in Monterey.

Perfect for our trip
Thank you Tina for everything! We stayed for 9 nights and you made our stay wonderful. The house worked out great and all the nice, little touches you did to make our stay comforting was well noticed. Clean, comforting, all the amenities you need, great location to walk to many stores and restaurants. Appreciate all the communication and fast responses. We want to lock this place in again for next year's trip.

Terrible and person living on site was never disclosed
My daughter and her wedding party were here less than 24 hours when the lady , living on site came to the door to complain about the noise and the parking. The girls were not partying or even aloud to do the bridal games the rest of the night and in the morning started breakfast when she showed up again at 9am on my daughters WEDDING day and said they had 2 hours to get out!!!! Who does this !!!! They only received a partial refund which is also terrible customer service . The whole wedding party had to find new accommodations at the last minute costing us hundreds of dollars not to mention the bride to be upset which I was very unhappy about ! Whoever lives on site - not a way to conduct yourself and had a mom been there it it might have been somewhat different!
Manager's Response:
Thank you for taking the time to let us know about the issues that arose during your trip. We take feedback from our guests very seriously, and we apologize for the inconveniences you encountered during your stay. Best, The Evolve Team

Fantastic and Inviting Family Home!
This home was perfect as a central gathering place for a small family get-together! It's in the center of everything - downtown Monterey and Pacific Grove are walkable while all of Carmel, Point Lobos, and gorgeous sight-seeing are a moment's drive away. Tina prepared every aspect of this home to make our stay easy and enjoyable... and the love she's brought to her family home is inviting and welcoming! There are gorgeous views to enjoy as you visit with family, too, as well as two passes to the Aquarium which is only a short walk away. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to Monterey!

What a wonderful place for all my family for my daughter's wedding weekend!
The house is beautiful! Just right for all my family, children and grandchildren all together. Only one thing needed: a garbage disposal. The ocean view was a definite highlight. We would love to stay again in the future.

Great location overlooking Monterey Bay
Very clean and comfortable home for my family vacation. We have 8 adults and 2 babies/toddlers and there is adequate sleeping space in the 4 bedrooms, 1 queen, 1 double, 2 twins (trundle setup) and twin plus inflatable mattress in the fourth bedroom.
Great location with a fantastic view overlooking Monterey Bay and walking distance to the aquarium and Cannery row. Communication with Tina, the owner, is excellent. The driveway is steep but easy to park the car. Adequate parking on the street for the other 2 cars. The bedrooms, except the one with the queen bed, have skylights which allows plenty of sunlight. The only issue is when the sunshine at dawn wakes you up. I would highly recommend this home and would stay again in the future.

Excellent vacation spot! Absolutely loved it!
Home was very cozy and super clean. Close to everything, nice quiet street. Absolutely enjoyed our stay!

Comfortable, great value.
Positives: location, value, quiet, clean, spacious, view, TV reception, WIFI, amenities, communication with Tina (owner).
Just being picky here but would improve the stay: install garbage disposal in kitchen sink, improve water pressure in kitchen, the portable dishwasher is awkward, replace the house rules binder (torn, worn and actually can hurt someone as the edges are sharp), the backyard patio when sitting the chairs sink into the dirt - put a harder surface there. Skylights in the bedrooms could use shades.
Overall: would return

Superb location!
We had a great time in Monterey! The rental house was well clean, and well appointed with everything. The kids appreciated the sand toys to take to the beach. We all enjoyed the convenient walk to Starbuck's and the stores nearby.

It was Magnificent!!!
My friends and I finally had our girl's getaway we talked about for years! This house was amazing and perfect for five of us! It was so welcoming, spacious, and clean! First of all, Tina texted me to welcome us to Monterey. We had come to town earlier than planned, so I asked her if we could check in early. She said, yes, she had just left and we were welcome to go in anytime. We were surprised at how spacious the home was, the pictures don't do it justice! The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed! We ate breakfasts and dinners there, and went out for lunch. The large kitchen table was a perfect place to gather and play games at night! The location is wonderful...just blocks up from the Cannery, close to the 17 mile drive and Carmel! We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home and decided it will be an annual destination!!! Thank you so much, Tina, for your great hospitality!

Clean and spacious property with beautiful ocean views
7 of us stayed at this beautiful place for 2 nights. The house has beautiful sweeping ocean views and the fireplace in the front room provides a great ambience at night. The owner leaves instructions around everything and even season passes to monterey aquarium for you to use while you stay there! Two of the four bedrooms have proper double beds. one of the remaining two has a bed that expands to accommodate 2 people at different levels and the last one has a single bed. Overall a great experience!

Perfect house, perfect trip!
My family and I spent 4 great days at Tina's house in Monterey. Here are my 5 favorite things about the house!
5. The house is extremely clean. The cleanest vacation home I've seen!
4. It is stocked with everything you and your family will need. Bathroom supplies, kitchen supplies, beach towels, fire wood and more.
3. The view and location can't be beat. Sit at the window and look at the ocean or hop down the hill to Cannery Row. Adventure within minutes!
2. The house is roomy and easily sleeps 9. My favorite room is the trundle room and we loved all the skylights.
1. Tina!!! She is the nicest, most hospitable host you'll have. She cares about your experience and was readily available over text.
We celebrated my mom's 70th birthday at the house and it was perfect. Thank you for a memorable stay!

The third generation friendly owner keeps a spotless family home. The house has a great view of the Bay and is within walking distance of the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the Bay walking path. The convenient location is a short driving distance from old town Pacific Grove and Monterey with their myriad restaurants and grocery stores are close by for cooking in.
5.0 / 10.0
We traveled from Alaska to spend time with my husbands parents and sister. The house accommodated the eight of us perfectly! We enjoyed walking downtown for dinner one evening. We could also see whales during our stay and the beaches were a very short distance to spend the day at!
5.0 / 10.0
The house is super funky, but it is worth going. The front room and the kitchen are big and inviting. The rooms are quirky, like long hallways and random doors and mini-rooms. It's a big place. The 2 bathrooms are plenty big. The dishwasher is a rolling one where you hook up to the kitchen sink. Again, quirky, but fine. I would definitely stay here again.

I travel often and finding a good spot to vacation can be frustrating when being on the road is a lifestyle. I must say the experience my wife and our friends had at this house was unreal. Every expectation a good vacationer had, such as myself, was met and exceeded in every way. The location was perfect, quaint and there was an exceptional community around the house including shopping, dining, and even a local grocery store which are all within walking distance. You can clearly tell that the owner values and appreciates the property and takes very good care of it. It was fun for my wife, myself, and our friends to walk throughout the house and see how the owner had thought of every last detail to make our stay absolutely incredible. There was even a closet with board games which my wife was very appreciative of. Apart from being a clean, well maintained and beautiful house the entire ambiance and location of the house, overlooking the bay, made for a very relaxing and refreshing experience all around. Outside of the house, the owner recommended quite a few great locations for those unfamiliar with the area. We took many of the suggestions and had a fantastic time. The beach, the aquarium, the sights all around, even down to the fisherman's warf a few miles down the road, our whole trip was nothing less than extravagant.
I encourage anyone who is looking for either a romantic getaway, an all around fun vacation or just a refreshing experience to STAY HERE. I have found, what we in our family call, a "return home." We will surely be returning and will emphatically recommend this house specifically to anyone else looking. From one traveler to another, ENJOY!

here were 7 of us ages 71, 66, 41, 42, 28, 10, 3. We all had a wonderful time. The aquarium, Cannery Row, and outlets, are about 5 blocks down hill right below the house. The house was immaculate and in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen had everything we needed to make full dinners and we also used the barbeque. A Coco's is 3 or 4 blocks away. The beds were comfortable with quality bedding. The towels too. One bedroom opened into another which was perfect for the parents with small children. There are doors and a hallway separately the sleeping areas from the kitchen and living room. The place was quiet inside and out. Only warning...the house was build by the owner's grandfather. There are several unexpected changes in floor levels. That and the second story entrance will make this charming home hard for someone with mobility issues.
The sunrise from the front steps was awesome.
