About this villa rental

Coral Rays is the perfect family or small group island style headquarters! A little something for everyone at Coral Rays, including breathtaking views, gourmet kitchen, native stone outdoor showers, family room, games, musical instruments, pool, hot tub, and four well appointed bedrooms and bathrooms.

Coral Rays is nestled high on the mountain in a very a lush tropical landscape, surrounded by nature.

The main building upper level is a beautiful open plan great room -- the perfect island hub with a little something for everyone, including breathtaking views, gourmet kitchen, dining table for 8, cooking island with seating for 4, games, musical instruments, TV and sitting area, and full bathroom with outdoor shower. Outdoor grill is easily accessed off the kitchen.

The main building lower level is the poolside level and where the kids will beg to stay! Enjoy chaise lounge chairs, patio table for 4, hot tub, pool, and access to the main parking area. This level sleeps 4 guests with a Poolside Twin Bedroom and Poolside King Bedroom; these are connected by a full bathroom with double lavs.

A second building one level down houses two bedroom en suites, sleeping 4-5 guests. One bedroom features a King bed with private bath, dual lav, indoor shower as well as outdoor shower. The other bedroom features a Queen bed, twin daybed, private bath, dual lav and indoor shower.

At Coral Rays you can get away from it all and simply enjoy the peace and tranquility that is the true ambiance of St John!

This is a lovely house with a beautiful view. The great room was bright and airy. There are lots of pots and pans, dishes, silverware, etc. We used the grill, which was well supplied with propane. I must say that we were lucky it did not rain much while we were there, because all of the stairs are outside. We are used to hilly St. John, so we were not put off by the steep driveway.

First and foremost this is an amazing villa. Our group: two families consisting of 4 adults all in our 40s and 3 teen/tweens age 12 and 13. We used the hot tub and pool every day. There is A/C in the entire villa: this is huge, it was very comfortable to be in the living space for eating or watching tv. And of course in the bedrooms for sleeping. The furniture is comfortable, kitchen well stocked with everything you need. A few notable oddities: the driveway is treacherous. Not at all exaggerating; it took me until day 4 to get the trick of using 4 wheel drive to get out and avoid a huge divot in the road. You have to back in, there is no backing out of the driveway. The drive up the hill to get to the villa is also not for the faint of heart. The water pressure in the showers in the 'pod' was spotty. It's an island, this is not a big deal - just be aware. We used Landlubber Logistics for provisioning the villa and it was stocked upon arrival - they did a FANTASTIC job and went to 6 different markets to try to fill our order. Cannot recommend them highly enough. We also enjoyed a day on the Salt Deck double decker pontoon with a stop at Lime Out (floating taco bar). Go to Johnny Lime and Skinny Legs, both perfect Coral Bay low key restaurants. The management company was responsive and helpful, they arranged a taxi for us (which I recommend for going to the popular beaches if you're here during high season - parking is nearly non-existent unless you arrive early am or late pm

This is a Beautiful vacation home. The view is awesome. The pool and hot tub are so nice. Coral Bay has great restaurants and two food markets. We all spent the week going sightseeing, snorkeling and kayaking at all the great beaches. We all Loved this Wonderful vacation home!!

What a gorgeous spot, high above the sleepy village of Coral Bay. Not a great place for people who aren't confident driving up steep hills and navigating a tight driveway but we loved it. House was perfect for our group of 9 family members from three generations (one grandkid slept on the sofa in the main room.) Kitchen has everything we needed -- all high quality. The outdoor and indoor showers were fabulous and the beds great quality. Thank you for sharing this home!

Coral Rays is a lovely property with a spectacular view. Plenty of space for our group to both gather and spread out. Comfortable beds and clean, spacious rooms. Amazing outdoor spaces. Lots of stairs but the “elders” in our group had no problem navigating them. Everything we needed was there—beach chairs, cooler, lots of towels. Loved the outdoor showers and the landscaping was lush and beautiful. Great communication by property management team. This was our 6th trip to St John and this was one of our favorite houses.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was clean and well maintained. The views from the deck were breathtaking. Waking up and having coffee overlooking Coral Bay is a memory I will cherish forever. The hot tub is a nice feature. We didn't use the pool that much because it stayed on the cooler side probably because of the shade. All the shade made being outside quite comfortable throughout the day. The house is up a mountain and the driveway is a bit challenging to maneuver the first time. However, a property manager met us in town and led us the way to the property and then very carefully showed us how to park the vehicles. After the first couple of times, it became pretty easy. Overall great property and I would highly recommend.

Place was perfect for our 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 10-16)! It was clean, kitchen was well stocked, the pool and hot tub were great, and the view was amazing! The upstairs living area with the kitchen does not have AC, so we got a little warm at times, but that's part of the island experience. There was always a breeze blowing and we could pop down to the bedroom or hop in the pool for a quick cool-off. Would 100% stay there again!

The house had everything we needed for a week stay. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room to spread out and also to come together in the main areas. Our biggest issue was that the bedroom right below the kitchen had no blackout blinds. We aren't early risers and were woken up every morning early with the rising sun. Otherwise there were only minor issues like a first aid kit that was empty and a BBQ grill that had seen better days and 2 middle burners weren't working. We reported the grill and someone was out there the next day and repaired it. Beautiful view and landscape. Our bed was super comfy! Loved the 2 outdoor showers. We all agree that we would return to this house.

We enjoyed our stay. From the moment we booked the owner and the rental agency were extremely helpful. They helped us figure out how to rent a car, activities, time ferry rides, etc. The house was exactly as pictured. Our family typically stays at resorts where there is lots of activities going on. We were concerned our kids would be "bored" without constant entertainment. But they kept each other busy with the pool, hot tub, reading on the lounge chairs, etc. Our biggest concern each day was what beach we were going to hop in the Jeep and explore. We loved the laidback vibe of the island. Highly recommend.

We loved our very comfortable stay here. Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the view. Our only problem was that the hot tub was not working properly. An attempt to fix it required a part that needed to be ordered outside the USVI.

We really enjoyed the house and property. We've rented multiple houses in Coral Bay, and this was definitely the best. The access road was exciting. The driveway and parking was really challenging with a larger car, and downright scary. Luckily we never met any neighbors when exiting.

We had an incredible week at Coral Rays on St. John! The owners supplied paper products, soaps and detergents-which was much appreciated! We also had plenty of beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards and coolers for our group of 8 to take to the beach everyday! Coral Rays was in the perfect spot to jump on North Shore Rd and visit some of the top beaches in the Caribbean! We can’t wait to come back and hope we can enjoy the unbelievable view of Coral Bay from this villa again!

This villa is very nice - we really enjoyed our stay. They have all of the essentials including everything you need to go to the beach. Anything we needed was taken care of very quickly by the property manager to ensure our stay was perfect! The only downside for us was how hot the kitchen was without air conditioning. We had not expected it to be so hot but used it only for cooking and never sat inside on that level. If we wanted to watch tv we had to use iPads or computers in bedrooms.

We stayed on St John a number of times and such amazing sky-high views from the property on Coral Bay, St John and Tortola are hard to find. Enjoying morning coffee with the views was one of my favorites. The house is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The two building arrangement is convenient for spreading around. We enjoyed cooking and having meals at the house instead of going out, which is not easy for a large group. There are only two caveats that I have to mention. There were a lot of mosquitos at any time and sitting outside required using a repellant. And there were no locks on the house. Nothing got stolen, but it was concerning to leave valuables at the house during the day.

The house was perfect for our group (5 adults, 2 children). Great layout, everyone had their own space and storage but plenty of common area for everyone to comfortably be together. Kitchen lends itself to entertaining/hanging as a big group. Pool was perfect for days we stayed at the house. Owner and property managers couldn't be nicer or more attentive. House had all the things you don't want to pack - beach towels, chairs, floats, coolers, blenders, thermoses, tupperware, etc. Great outdoor showers. Very clean. No complaints!

This house was amazing! The kitchen was perfect for me and my crew to cook, hang, play games and enjoy ourselves. The views are also amazing. The house doesn’t get a ton of sun so didn’t use the pool much but definitely used the hot tub which was incredible. Coral Bay is a quiet part of STJ so a lot of people take the 20/30 minute ride to Cruz Bay- drivers beware the roads are windy, steep and pretty scary to drive on. The roads and driveway to this house are especially tough but you get the hang of it eventually!We stayed in the lower pod with the outdoor shower which was incredible. The porch is the perfect morning yoga spot. The house has so many amenities to make your stay comfortable. Also- the property management company Antares was hands down the best to work with. One day they even helped us with a dead battery on our rental car! Would recommend this house if you are looking for comfort, solitude and peace.

We really loved our stay at Coral Ray's. The only downside was the hot tub stopped working midway through the stay. The hospitality group though was very accommodating to us when our flights were changed and we had to stay a second day. They graciously did the best thing and gave us the extra night for free due to the broken hot tub. It's a wonderful location and is great for families that want time with each other but some personal space too with the lower level double masters separate from the main house. We hope to come back soon when the BVI opens and see The Baths next time. Coral Ray's will certainly be a strong contender for us. The hospitality group on that manages the property were really good and offered much help and options for things well beyond the house itself. Lastly the owner Robert really surprised me with a phone call after we booked to give me details personally. Overall excellent experience.
