About this apartment rental

Cozy guest home by Lake Whatcom. Adjacent to home, back yard for you. You can use zip line & big swing AT YOUR OWN RISK... This is a Studio Guest Home, but I don't have an option to put 0 bedrooms. I also have internet, cable, etc. Close to town, Mt. Baker, new outdoor hot tub, in nice neighborhood but tucked into an acre of woods. Parking, and outdoor fire to enjoy. All smoking outside. You can come as late as you want & check for last minute pricing deals if coming after 8:00 p.m. We are always available. We always give you the back yard when you come so you have the utmost privacy - easy check in/out. We really want you to feel like you are home!

Someone will always be available 24 hours a day to help you with anything you need. Turn on the hot tub, find a place to order in, or suggest where to go out. Wash your clothes if you need, whatever happens, we are here to serve you. We have a chair that turns into a bed if you want to bring your kids or have some friends visiting. I have a check in time of 3 and a check out time of noon, but I really like to be flexible. Please communicate on your times you prefer and if it is possible I will work with you to choose different times. It's also great to know if you are leaving early or checking in late so I can give the other guests flexibility immediately too. Thank you! Don't hesitate to ask about any other accommodations. We love our guests and meeting new folks!

Cottage was very clean and well equipped. The neighborhood is lovely and good for walking a dog. Heather was very helpful with restaurant suggestions ; Dragon River had excellent food!

It was a great place to stay but the owner was out of town and Sean was helping. Our AC window unit wouldn’t work but he was very helpful. The listing needs updated photos. Everything was different than the photos.

Luckily we only booked one night. The pictures are very deceiving! It looks like there are different spaces and the house is secluded...no! It is all one room. The only water is in the bathroom. There was no hot water for showers. The hot tub was between the rental and their house so we didn't feel comfortable to use it. We had to walk past all their house windows to go to the rental because it is so close to their house. Prior to our check in, I had sent three messages to the owner that were never responded to (I wasn't asking questions or anything, but there was no acknowledgment). The mattress was falling through the broken slats in the bed frame and it was so wiggly and uncomfortable. We always try to avoid sleezy cheap hotels and so we started doing vrbos instead.... should have just found a cheap hotel.

We loved our stay at Heather’s place. It was perfect for myself my husband and our two dogs. Great shower and comfortable bed. We walked our dogs all around the neighborhood and nearby lake and park. The best part was how quiet it was at night! We will definitely be back, as our son lives close by.

Heather was quick to respond to me with all my questions. Though the place is next to her house she gave us privacy and it felt like it was just us. The place is surrounded by trees, it feels like you’re staying in the forest; it’s so quiet. When we got there Heather showed us how to use the zip-line and had kind words for I was feeling old due to my birthday. It was relaxing wooded get away yet close to restaurants. PS the heated bathroom floor rocks!

Wow, what a beautiful place. Feels very secluded and private. The hot tub was a great bonus. Zip line and giant swing! Very quiet and perfect getaway from the city. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderfully relaxing time and loved the hot tub and cozy fire pit. The fire pit furniture was so comfortable and relaxing, we roasted marshmallows and told ghost stories and had such a lovely time.

Great stay in a pacific northwest gem. Heather was a lovely and very attentive host. We loved the space and our daughter was in heaven in the wooded space. The zipline and big swing were huge hits. Appreciated the location and country setting. The suite had everything we needed. Heather had thought of everything. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

This was a perfect little spot for my husband and I to getaway and mountain bike for a few days! Super spacious little guest home with pretty much everything you need and close to all the things to enjoy in Bellingham and lake whatcom. The hot tub was superb and that bed was SO SO comfortable! Definitely reccomend for couples or small families :)

Our stay was short but sweet. Good location for our overnight stay for a wedding in Bellingham. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to enjoy the amenities, but had everything we needed. Host Heather was very responsive.

The place was lovely - with pretty view of the woods out back. We were too busy visiting our children in town so we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the fire pit but it looked like a nice set up. The owners were friendly and their dog was so sweet that my dog had a wonderful time having play dates with him. She thought we were going there just for her to play. We will be back again!

We felt right at home in this guest house that backs up to beautiful forest. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evening, fire pit and quiet location. Host was super accommodating with arrival time and setting up a bed for last minute addition of our adult son. Excellent communication and felt taken care of.

We were given a phone call that the VRBO was ready early which was a great surprise. The directions for checking in were very simple. Owners are very nice and sweet people. The place is a mother in law style suite complete with fridge, microwave, and toaster oven. Surrounded by beautiful woods, and when it's time to relax you can dip in the pre heated hot tub or make yourself a nice fire! This was the perfect weekend getaway for me and my fiance's anniversary. It's walking distance from the beautiful lake and 10 minutes to downtown Bellingham! 5 stars for this lovely place !

Cute small suite that’s about a 45 minute walk to the lake! We had tons of fun being out in nature and having the nice hot tub to chill out. Heather was super responsive and there to take care of us. Would book again in a heartbeat :)
