Welcome to Los Lagos with a rural Mediterranean Spanish look, located next to Ashton Lakes Condos, and near the famous Siesta Key Beach, the pearl of Sarasota, #1 Beach in the USA.
An elegant 2/2 ground floor, lakefront unit throughout bright and airy. Large rooms (gross area 1540 sq ft=143 m2, living area 1320 sq ft = 123 m2), large (22*10 ft) East facing screened lanai (porch) accessible from the living room and the master bedroom.
The place is huge, not the usual small, crowded vacation rental. Be lulled to sleep by the sound of a huge fountain just outside your window. Lake view from all bedrooms, and the living room. Fully tiled floors in pastel color, walk-in closet, fitted wardrobes, own detached garage.
Unwind with a grill party on the private screened lanai overlooking the Sunnyside Lake. Beautiful Spanish colonial revival architecture, wrought iron details. Welcome to the house called Casa Cordoba!

Please take into consideration that the area is not completely safe for unsupervised small children as neither the lakes nor the pool is guarded and the main gate is open to a traffic road. It is a walled, but not a gated community.
The condo is on the ground floor, easily accessible with a wheelchair (max. 43 inches wide), rollator, walker or baby pushchair. A comfortable shower chair enables a safe shower for the elderly.
Appliances: Dishwasher, Dryer, Exhaust Fan, Hot Water Electric, Microwave, Single Oven Range, Refrigerator with ice maker+cooled water dispenser, Washer, Toaster Oven, Water Boiler.
Oversized Living Room/Dining Room/Breakfast combo with elegant crystal glass dining table. Leather recliner sofa and 2 recliner chairs in the living room for maximal comfort.
Open Floor Plan, Split Bedroom. One bathroom with shower, one with bathtub. Fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. Luxury furnishing is everywhere, mild pastel colors dominate the furniture, the tiles enhancing the Mediterranean aura.
Generous lanai directly at the edge of the lake, your heron is fishing just yards from your breakfast table. Recliner sunbeds, and ottoman comforting your tired legs.
The condo is quiet, thanks to the verdant vegetation, the high sound protection wall, and the two fountains, the noise from the busy Clark road (FL72) at the entry gate is not a nuisance. Three fountains are working between 9 AM and 9 PM, drowning all the barely noticeable noises into the relaxing sound of splashing water.
For the very improbable rainy hours, a collection of popular board games is offered. Bring your favorite DVDs, as all 3 flat-screen TVs has their DVD player. We too are offering a few popular DVDs.
There are exotic birds everywhere the whole day. You have your vacation in an open-air bird sanctuary. Be sure you take your binoculars and camera with you.
After a short walk to the corner of Clark and Swift Rd. you will find a shopping complex with Detwiler's, CVS Pharmacy, Dollar General, Merchants Pointe, American Grill, Hardware Store, Sweetbay Liquor Store, Puccini's Restaurant, China Wok Takeout, Sweet Berries just to mention some. Walking in the opposite direction to the corner of Clark and Beneva, there is a huge Publix sided with dozens of other service establishments.
The nearest bank is Bank of America at the Sarasota Pavillion.
The nearest library is the Gulf Gate Public Library hours: Mon/Tue/Wed 10-8, Thu/Fri/Sat 10-5.
We are pet-friendly in a narrower sense i.e. allowing dogs but not cats (because of cat allergy). Condo regulations allow no more than two dogs, each max 20 lb.
There are no security cameras inside the condo, your privacy is safe, although cameras surveill the premises.
Your friends, and relatives are welcome for a visit, we won't charge extra for that. But if you have the whole church choir as guests, there may be a problem with the seating.

This is our third stay at Los Lagos. As usual, it was clean, comfy and relaxing. We spent a lot of time in the pool this time. We love the wide variety of waterfowl and waking up next to the lake!

This place was everything we hoped for. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. It was very relaxing to be in the screened in lanai watching the birds and turtles. Take your choice is it a beach day (incredible beaches just a short drive away) or a pool day. There is a beautiful market just a short 3 minute walk away. Plenty of shopping close by. The location was great! Further, we were able to have our little 9 lb dog with us, and it couldn’t have been better for her. She sulked when we left today, but then so did we. Everyone we met in the complex were so friendly. Overall a top drawer vacation!!!

What a relaxing vacation. On the days that were too windy to go boating, we read and watched our feathered friends fishing in the pond outside the window. I adore waking up to the water view and spending another day in paradise. Siesta Key is just a few minutes away and the local grocery store has farmers market style produce. The owners of the condo are sweet and have a good sense of humor. We will come back.

Spacious condo on a well-kept lake. There were so many different water birds, we could barely keep our eyes on anything else. Everything we needed was there, and all the neighbors were friendly. Our poodle had a blast, too!

Wonderful spot for a long-term stay
We stayed in Susanna's place for the entire month of May as we explored Sarasota before becoming residents. We worked and had our two dogs with us and it was the perfect little spot for us. We were impressed by the amount of gadgets in the kitchen and had a lovely time.

Should be your next vacation accommodation!
I've been vacationing in and around Siesta Key for my entire life and I have to say I have never been in a condo complex that had such a uniformly friendly and welcoming group of neighbors as are in this complex. Perhaps pet owners are just more friendly, I'm not sure, but it was a great atmosphere.
Los Lagos also has an amazing contingent of birds, herons, etc. and I even saw a family of 3 otters.
The pool was pristine and the grounds well maintained.
The beds were very comfortable, the A/C worked flawlessly, and the enclosed patio a delight.
SK beach is an easy ride as are several restaurants, markets, and so forth.
I heartily recommend this as a great place to stay no matter what your age and the makeup of your family.
And if you have a dog, Red Bug Slough is a short 5 minute drive away and at 60 acres +, it is a fantastic place to walk [even if you don't have a dog!].

Wonderful Stay at Los Lagos!
This is a lovely well-stocked condo. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the lanai and watching all the fascinating wildlife. It is very convenient to Siesta Key, parks, restaurants and shopping. Lajos and Susana are extremely gracious and hospitable hosts!

Wonderful stay
Just checked out of this great property and can’t recommend it enough. Property itself is very clean and comfortable with all amenities you would need to enjoy your stay. The Lanai overlooking the water with fountains is peaceful and addicting
The location is spectacular and only minutes from Siesta Key and it’s amazing beach, and dozens of bars and restaurants within a 3 minute drive. And the owners are amazing and truly cared that we were comfortable.
We won’t stay anywhere else the next time we are in Sarasota.

Our family of 4 working adults and our sweet dog had an excellent vacation and work from home stay at this beautiful and scenic condo !!!
All the amenities were excellent and provisioned very thoughtfully by Lajos & Susanna. Beds were SUPER comfortable. I have not come across any host who is so proactive and caring about their guest's stay and comfort. All the details advertised in the listing are accurate.
The best part about this home as reviewed by other guests as well, is the serenity and scenery experienced and viewed from the Lanai. I was attending my office zoom calls sitting outside and co-workers were in awe seeing the natural background of the lake/pond with all the birds & ducks.
4 of us working during the day using the high speed internet was not problem at all. Our dog enjoyed walks around the property neighborhood.
Siesta key / Cresent beach are a short drive away. Plenty of golfing around the area. Best deal in town is "Serenoa Golf club" where we became practice & play members for a month. Unlimited range balls and discounted T-time rates. We loved it so much that I decided to stay back in the area. Lajos helped find me a single bedroom condo using his contact.
We would love to come back and stay at this very hospitable condo hosted by the best people !!!

lakeside serenity
We rented at Los Lagos for its convenience to Siesta Beach, closeness to tons of shopping and ease of visiting our friends from Venice to University Park. Little did we know that there was a bonus of the serenity of a small lake off the lanai with a variety of wildlife that would rival a nature preserve. What a treat! The unit is great, spacious and clean with everything you need plus the bonus of an enclosed garage. Neighbors are very friendly

Villa Barcelona Apt. 8
Im Oktober/November 2018 verbrachten wir 5 Wochen im App. 8 der Casa Barcelona. Wir haben hier eine sehr schöne Zeit verbracht. Das Appartement war sauber, sehr gut ausgestattet und hatte viel Platz. Vor allen Dingen hatte die Küche eine sehr gute Ausstattung, so dass wir gern dort gekocht haben.
Zum Strand nach Siesta Key sind es nur wenige Kilometer und in der zum Appartement gehörenden Garage waren Stühle und Sonnenschirme vorhanden.
Vor der Terrasse/Lanai fanden sich jeden Tag verschiedene Vögel ein, die gerne gefüttert werden wollten. Da gab es z.B. einen weissen Heron mit Namen „Schneewittchen“ sowie Enten, Schildkröten, Fische und auch mal zwei Otter konnten wir im See vor der Lanai beobachten.
Für uns Golfspieler bietet die Umgebung durch verschiedene Golfplätze viel Spass und Abwechslung.
Unsere Vermieter Susanna und Lajos haben uns in dieser Zeit hervorragend betreut und es gab eine freundliche und hilfsbereite Nachbarschaft.
Uns hat es hier sehr gut gefallen und es war bestimmt nicht unser letzter Aufenthalt in Los Lagos.
We stayed 5 weeks (October/ November 2018) at the apartment 8 at the Casa Barcelona. It was a fantastic time in Sarasota. The apartment is very spacious and clean. Especially the kitchen was very well equipped, so we cooked a lot at home. It is only a short drive to Siesta Key. We used the beach chairs and sunshade, which are located in the garage of the apartment. Each day we got visits by different birds. For example there was a white heron which is called „snow white“. Besides that we saw ducks, turtles and otters in front of our lanai. It is a perfect area for golfers – several courses for each golfer level. The owners Susanna and Lajos took very well care of us and we felt a friendly and helpful neighborhood community.
We enjoyed our time in Sarasotaa lot and it was not our last stay at Los Lagos.

Lovely Condo
We had a lovely month stay at this Condo. Suzanna and Lajos the owners were a lovely couple and were close by and nothing was too much trouble. The condo had everything and very clean. It was very well stocked even down to a slow cooker, which came in very handy for us. The size of the condo was a surprise, very spacious with a lovely comfortable bed. An Apartment like a House
Wie fast jedes Jahr haben wir unseren Sommerurlaub in Sarasota verbracht. Dieses Mal fiel die Wahl auf das Apartment Los Barcelona. Und diese Wahl war eine sehr gute Wahl. Das Apartment ist eigentlich wie ein Haus in einem Haus. Es ist sehr groß, sehr sauber, vollständig und zeitgemäß ausgestattet. Die Elektrogeräte wie TV, Kühlschrank, Waschmaschine etc. inkl. dem W-Lan Router sind alle sehr neu und qualitativ mit die besten, die wir bisher hatten. Die kleine Wohnanlage liegt sehr nah zu allen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten wie Supermärkten und kleineren Malls aber auch die diversen Restaurants sind mit dem Auto in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Für uns war zudem die Nähe (maximal 15 Fahrminuten) zum Strand „Siesta Key“, einem der schönsten Strände in den USA, wichtig. Das Apartment hat eine sehr große umbaute Terrasse, die absolut sicher gegen alle Insekten ist. Es liegt direkt zwischen 2 kleinen Seen, so dass man jeden Tag viele Tiere beobachten kann. Zu dem Apartment gehört zudem eine eigene Garage, die direkt in der Wohnanlage ist. Der Kontakt zu den Vermietern war einfach und sehr hilfreich. Unsere Fragen wurden uns immer sofort beantwortet und sie gaben uns eine Menge Tipps zu unserem Aufenthalt. Auch die Nachbarn sind sehr freundlich und ruhig, so dass wir einen sehr schönen Urlaub verbrachten.
Like almost every year, we spent our summer vacation in Sarasota. This time, the choice fell on the apartment Los Barcelona. And that choice was a very good choice. The apartment is actually like a house in a house. It is very big, very clean, fully equipped and contemporary. The electrical appliances such as TV, fridge, washing machine etc. including the wireless router are all very new and quality was the best, which we had so far. The small residential complex is very close to all shops such as supermarkets and smaller malls but also the various restaurants can be reached by car in a few minutes. For us was also the proximity (maximum of 15 minutes) to the beach "Siesta Key" important. The apartment has a very large enclosed terrace, which is absolutely safe against all bugs. It is located directly between 2 small lakes, so that you can watch many animals every day.The apartment also has its own garage, which is directly at the apartment. The contact with the Owners was easy and very helpful. Questions were always answered immediately and they gave us a lot of tips for our stay. The neighbors are friendly and quiet, so we spent a very nice vacation.

Middle of the road
Since we are snowbirds, we were looking for a more interactive community. While the neighbors were nice, and quiet, they are working folk so not interested in vacationers. The place is as pictured but not great. Plenty of supplies, owner very responsive. Close to Siesta key bridge, which is a positive. St Armand circle has the best salad restaurant, Colombia. Wonderful staff and food. In addition lots of nice shops and restaurants.

Lakeside tranquilty
You can't compare a vacation at the lake with other types of holiday. The water changes color, all the time, exotic busy birds are visible around the clock. The condo itself is a piece of Spanish architecture tastefully prepared for guests. I want to come back again and again! This stay was a spa for my nerves.

We spent February in unit 8 with sister and brother in law. The condo came equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. It was spacious with large lovely lanai facing lagoon. We especially enjoyed our feathered wildlife who came to visit. The condo community was quiet and filled with lovely people. The location was very convenient, close to Siesta key and Downtown Sarasota. The owner Lajos went above and beyond to insure we had a great stay. We look forward to returning for another stay.

Wonderful place to stay
We had a very pleasant stay at this condo. It is located on a large road, but you don’t hear any noise because you are in the back of the development. You are 2 miles from Siesta Key and another mile to the public beach on Siesta Key. Winn Dixie as well as Publix and CVS and Walgreens and many other retail places are very near by – actually you can walk to Winn Dixie and CVS! There is even a Trader Joe’s not far away.
The unit had everything you could need, including an ice maker. It has a lanai on a pond, but it was too hot to sit out there when we were there. There are plenty of towels and sheets as well as dishes and glasses and pots and pans. The beds are new and comfortable. The furnishings are nice and there are 3 TV’s. It is a very bright and pleasant place to stay and we would definitely stay there again. Plus there is beautiful bird life right outside your door.

Ferien wie im Paradies
Die Wohnung ist perfekt eingerichtet, alles was man für entspannte Ferien braucht ist vorhanden, sogar Strandmöbel zum Mitnehmen an den Siesta Key. Wir waren jeden Abend auf der Terrasse gesessen und haben den Vögeln und Schildkröten zugesehen und haben in den 16 Tagen keinen Fernseher eingeschaltet. Alle Geschäfte sind ganz nah, die Ferienanlage ist wunderschön, die anderen Hausbewohner sind alle sehr nett und das Vermieterehepaar sehr zuvorkommend. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen !!

Wunderschön
Sehr schönes Apartment in einer ruhigen und parkähnlichen Anlage. Das Haus "Casa Barcelona" liegt etwas weiter von der Hauptstraße entfernt, so ist kein Lärm zu hören. Alles ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und was zum täglichen Gebrauch benötigt wird ist vorhanden. Bis zum nächsten Supermarkt sind es nur 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Auch gibt es einen deutschen Butcher ganz in der Nähe. Zum Strand sind es mit dem Auto 10 Minuten, keine Park-/ und Strandgebühren. Obwohl ich allein in der Wohnung gelebt hatte, fühlte ich mich sehr beschützt. Die Nachbarn waren sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Ich hatte 4 sehr schöne Wochen im April 2016 verlebt und freue mich schon jetzt auf das nächste Jahr.

No Snow----Yeah
Los Lagos is a beautiful immaculate retreat and was furnished with all the items needed for a home away from home. I enjoyed the setting,with the water and the birds, so relaxing. I was here from January 7- March 5, 2016. There were some cool days ...but no snow and not below zero.
All activities, shopping, beaches and restaurants are easily accessible and all neighbors were very friendly

Great Stay
We stayed in Los Lagos for three weeks from March 5-March 26, 2016. The place is immaculate and the owner goes out of his way to make sure that you have a wonderful stay. Every morning we ate breakfast on the Lanai overlooking the lake and watched the birds and turtles from our Lanai. The place was plenty big and could easily be shared by two couples. It is convenient to all beaches, (about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic) but my advise is too leave early for Siesta Beach since parking at the public lot is at a premium. We are seriously thinking of staying there next year. Great job Lajos and Susannah!

This is a very lovely property. The roomy 2 bedroom condo is literally 2 steps from a lake on one side and quite close to a lake on the other. There are lots of birds to enjoy, and turtles in the lakes. Though right off busy Clark Road, it is set far enough back so you the traffic is not a noise problem. And, the location is just a few minutes drive to the nice beaches on Siesta Key. Also, the neighbors are very nice. We stay there for two months and had a very good time. We only regret we couldn't book it for next year.
