I’ve been going to the north end of LBI for vacation for 45+ years and have stayed ocean-side and bay-side of the blvd. This location was the best for a boater- far enough into the lagoon system to get away from the hassles of the in-out tide current and strong winds of the main channel waterfront, floating dock to tie up to (not to worry about the tide). The house is a renovated vintage late 1950s early 1960s house. The upstairs master is large with a small bath. The three downstairs bedrooms are very small, locked closets, no dressers. The only place to put belongings is on the floor (and not much room). Consider the three downstairs bedrooms simply a place to sleep. The neighbors on both sides are very nice-neighborly. Some of the more important features are very good- good electronics, wifi, tv, excellent grill, etc. The bottom line is if you are going on a family vacation, not for a wild party place, and especially if you are a boater, this is a good choice.

Our family really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely consider renting again in the future. Beautiful views of the bay from the back yard.

The home is situated near the entrance to the lagoons. Jared and Jessica were quickly responsive to all questions and concerns. We ended up accidently breaking something and they handled what happened kindly and fairly. They even took their boat out of the water so we could use the dock for our boat. The neighborhood is peaceful and the neighbors very friendly. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to stay on High Bar Harbor.

Great spot for a family vacation
This house was perfect for us. We are an extended family of 4 grownups and 2 young children. The rooms and furniture were set up perfectly. We enjoyed the sunroom and loved the patio with the fire pit. We hope to rent here again next summer.

Fantastic quiet location right on the inlet.
Family had a great time. Interior has been upgraded with new appliances and flooring. Easy access to the water in the backyard.

Location was great, home could be better
Positives: Great location, Really enjoyed having access to the Lagoon in the backyard, plenty of room for a family of 5.
Negatives:
1) Pillows were the only bedding items supplied with the house and they were quite dirty and stained. Glad we brought our own just in case.
2) The house was not clean upon arrival. There was dust, sand and fingerprints on the doors and windows.
3) Furniture items were damaged/dirty - kitchen chairs were ripped, a living room chair was extremely soiled, a ceiling fan in the "twin bed" bedroom was missing a blade or two and the light fixture in the same room did not always work.
4) I emailed the owner upon arrival and mentioned the items noted above and received a reply of "thanks for letting me know"
5) Garage was left unlocked and is used to store many floating devices, boats etc. that can be used in the lagoon. We used one of the blow-up boats/raft found in the garage and the owner called us the next day to say that a neighbor had informed him that we had used the boat and left it in the water overnight (tied to the dock of course). The owner went on to say that we were not to use any of the items in the garage. Note: there was no mention in the welcome letter or rental agreement stating we were not to use any items in the garage.
6) In our welcome letter it stated that items such as laundry and dish detergent would be supplied in the house at the beginning of the season, however there was no guarantee supplies would be available throughout the season. Well, there was not a drop of wash detergent left by the time we rented in the beginning of August. I guess you need to be sure and rent in the beginning of the season or you will be "out of luck" and have to purchase some of your own supplies.
Again, the location of this house was great, the house was spacious but next year, I will rent elsewhere.

A great house for our family beach weekend. We appreciated the crib and highchair. Jared and Jessica were great to work with. Hope to return.

Very nice
Nicely decorated/remodeled house. Great screened in porch. Well appointed kitchen and a fabulous master BR with 2 decks. One is great for watching the sunset. Very little closet space as most of them are locked. There really isn't anywhere to hang your clothing. The only other negative is there a no blankets or bedspreads on any of the beds. I was prepared with sheets but wasn't expecting to have to provide blankets as well. Quick drive to the beach and Viking village.

Comfortable and relaxing
This house is nicely renovated with an open kitchen, hardwood floors and comfortable furnishings. There was plenty of room for our family of four to spread out and find quiet places to relax. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and the owners responded very quickly to any concern or question that we had. Lovely back deck looks over the bay which is a very peaceful view. We were also able to grill and badges were included for the nearby beach.
Our only issue was not appropriately planning our trips to the more active side of the island (Beach Haven area) and we found that we were driving there a bit too often (is about 30 minutes each way). Plan ahead with a big shopping, do all of your "adventure" activities in one day, then just relax in this quieter and peaceful part of the island.

Completely renovated home on quiet street
This house was great! We were 4 adults and 2 small children and this house could accommodate more. The house is completely renovated on the inside with an open floor plan. The house was extremely clean and is on a family friendly dead end street. This house is on the inlet so the backyard is on the water which is nice for crabbing, swimming, BBQ etc but be aware children must be supervised given open water/no fence. Upstairs bedroom suite is huge with wrap around decks but did not have window shades (very bright during the day Windows on all sides). The house has a huge 3 season room on the back. During our stay it was very hot (3rd week of August) which limited our use of the room (it has ceiling fans but no ac in room unless you leave slider doors to house open).
This area of LBI is quiet and great for biking or jogging. It's walking distance to Viking Village.
Bay beach is small and good for little kids the ocean beach is a 2 minute drive and there was always street parking available during our stay.
Jared was great, easy to get in touch with and helpful.
