Perfect spot for us while visiting family in the area. Great house that had everything we needed!

Everything with the stay was perfect for what we needed. It was perfectly placed and everything with our stay went well. The owner was also very proactive and clear on communication from the check in period to our departure.

Comfortable, well taken care of, wonderful hostess, would stay again in a heartbeat. Debbie was super.

My first impression walking into this place was "WOW!". I was blown away. So beautiful, so spacious, beautifully decorated with antiques, plenty of linens, very comfortable bed, centrally located. It had everything I needed in the kitchen. And not to mention the owner's sweet gestures of some needed odds and ends in the fridge along with a personal delivery of fresh pastries for my breakfast. :):)

I stayed at Mrs. Debbie's property as a "mom's retreat" weekend. Everything was so lovely. I loved sitting on the front patio in the morning and curling up on the couch the rest of the day. Special treats were abundant in the house and I wanted for nothing. I would highly recommend staying here.

This was such a wonderful place to stay for my Husband’s birthday. The house itself is stinking adorable. There’s a handful of restaurants within walking distance. As well as a Walmart 7 minutes away and Palmetto Island State Park is 20 minutes away, great place to go kayaking. Mrs. Debra is super duper nice and easy to get in touch with. We loved being here.

Located in such a quaint part of Abbeviile, LA. Excellent location stay for events which are held in the downtown area. The B&B is roomy and has everything you could possibly need. So looking forward to a return stay.

The cottage was better that described online. I came to Abbeville to visit my husband family for the weekend from Georgia. We have been here numerous times before but never stayed in Abbeville due to the lack of suitable accommodations. This place is decorated nicely and you feel just like you have arrived home in Louisiana. The property manager Debbie is the true meaning of southern hospitality. She made sure that we were comfortable and well informed about the surrounding areas and different sights to visit during our stay. We will definitely be staying here again for our next visit.

We have rented this property twice. It is a beautifully kept cottage. Debbie, the owner, is so gracious and welcoming. We feel at home while we are there. We will definitely return.

We were seeing our first grandchild for the first time. We had a wonderful time. The cottage was outstanding. It was like being at home.

I can't say enough about this wonderful cottage and our marvelous hostess! Debra made us feel right at home and gave us wonderful recommendations about restaurants and activities in the area. The location was perfect for seeing the historic sights in nearby New Iberia, Avery Island and Jefferson Island, and walking distance to many attractions in Abbelville. And we didn't eat a bad bite of food at the Abbeville restaurants. If you are looking for a little R & R...romance and relaxation, this is the place for you!

The house is very well maintained. Spotless clean. The bed was very comfy. We were very pleased and hopefully we will stay there again in the future since we have relatives in the area. Thank you for everything Debbie!

We were greeted by Mrs. Garrot as soon as we drove up with a hug and then a tour of the house. It is a precious place with everything you need to live for the week. We enjoyed the area restaurants and the hospitality of the people of Abbeville. I recommend this place to everyone!!!

St. Charles Cottage was the perfect get-away B&B! Upon arriving, we were greeted by Debbie and knew our stay would be everything we had hoped for. The decor was exquisite, warm and inviting and had a certain charm to it. Debbie had thought of everything from personal care items to bathrobes, to a well stocked refrigerator. And each morning she would bring the newspaper and some fresh pastries for our enjoyment. We could not have asked for a more helpful person as she gave us suggestions for our stay in Abbeville as well as other places we would be traveling to in the days to follow. This B&B is a real treasure.

From the moment we arrived, we were delighted with our choice. We could not believe how enjoyable our visit was about to become. We were met by our Host Louis, who welcomed us into his old office !! and a few moments later , his wife Debbie arrived ,who was the most charming and effervesant hostess you could possibly like to meet. The charming Office space has been converted into a more than just a B&B.a mini home ... IT had everything you could imagine,, in fact the kitchen was equally well equipped as most homes, except for a dish washer.. Debbie had the refrigerator filled many delightful goodies, plus every morning a "fairy" dropped öff the daily paper together with fresh donuts !. And the bed was extremely comphy ! The only item that could have been added was a washer and dyer. we had been travelling for several days and that would have been appreciated ....anybody who stays will not be disappointed with charming cottage We will return on our next trip to the USA .

My husband and I recently spent two nights in the St. Charles cottage in Abbeville, LA, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is beautifully furnished, with a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, and lovely linens. Our hostess, Debbie, was very gracious and helpful, even mailing us brochures to help us plan our trip. The location is great, within walking distance of downtown and restaurants. You’ll love this cottage!

My wife and I chose the St. Charles Cottage as our home base for attending the Lafayette Festival International. The Cottage is located on the edge of downtown Abbeville, a quiet Loiusianna town about 20 minutes southwest of Lafayette and 2.5 hours west of New Orleans. It's a beautifully updated and furnished house that was absolutely perfect for our needs. It's comfortable, homey, and just the right size for two. The kitchen is full sized and well appointed, the linens luxurious, the bed large and comfortable, and the large dressing room is a nice touch. Our favorite feature, though, was the breezy front porch, which was the perfect place for morning coffee or evening cocktails. Debbie, the owner, was friendly without being intrusive. She had stocked the refrigerator and kitchen for us before our arrival and kindly delivered the local newspaper to the porch every morning. If there was a negative to the Cottage, it was that it was so pleasant that it was difficult to get up and out in the mornings. We just wanted hang around! We recommend the St. Charles Cottage without reservation.

If you have ever stayed at Apt A then you know Debbie and the wonderful place she has and what a perfect host she is. Well, she has done it again. We recently stayed in her new St Charles Cottage next door to Apt A. It is exquisite in every way. Debbie has a way of making her place so comfortable and appealing with top drawer furnishings, artwork, full kitchen, bed and linens. I don't know how anyone could ask for anything more. I've made the comment that Apt A is my home away from home and St Charles Cottage is no exception. She has paid attention to every detail like no place else I have ever stayed. You will love Debbie and the place she has made for us to stay.

It was everything and more than I expected all the way down to the beautiful pink rose in the bedroom. We were so relaxed, the owners were so very nice and accommodating to my needs. The cottage was filled with beautiful works of art and antiques, the bed was so soft and what a great nights sleep. I was able to make a cake for my son's birthday and his breakfast before we left to head back home. I can not wait until my next visit... We totally would recommend your stay at St Charles Cottage it was everything they said it would be and more..

St Charles Cottage is the perfect place to stay for a night or two or a week or two. Everything you need is here. From the well equipped kitchen to the comfortable living room, the luxurious bedroom and even a dressing room. The towels and linens are outstanding as is the artwork throughout. The cozy front porch is delightful for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. This property is very well maintained and the rate extremely reasonable. And you're walking distance to the restaurants, park and church's of historic Abbeville, founded by the Acadians aka Cajuns in the 1700's,

We have stayed at Apt A, right next door to St Charles Cottage, many times, and have become good friends with our hostess, Debbie, and her husband. It was exciting to hear the plans about renovating their old law offices, and we were lucky enough to be the first guests of St Charles Cottage. We found it to be very comfortable, very roomy and a delight to stay in. The front porch was a wonderful place to sit and read with a glass of wine or visit with friends, and the location is so close to downtown, churches, good restaurants and the park and river. Debbie thoughtfully provided a grill when we were staying in Apt A, so we always cook at least one meal, if not more while visiting, and that was no exception at St Charles Cottage. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, dishes, glasses, pots and pans. Every morning, we enjoyed pastries with our coffee, and easily cooked a couple of good dinners. The bed and linens were as excellent as the ones in Apt A, the furnishings range from real antiques to some quaint, updated more modern furniture. One delight was the dressing room, with it's own vanity and plenty of room for luggage and hanging up clothes. An added bonus was visiting with the cats who live nearby, especially one we called Garfield and who talks up a storm. All in all, we were enchanted and already have reservations at St Charles Cottage for the end of March and also over Memorial Day. We can't wait to go back and would recommend St Charles Cottage and Apt A to anyone desiring a quiet, comfortable, enjoyable visit to an old, historic town and area.

We enjoyed our Christmas stay at St Charles Cottage. Debbie is a very attentive host/owner. She checked several times to make sure we had what we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Debbie has stocked the home with every cooking item you may need. Early morning pastry and newspaper was a nice touch. The front porch was such a great place to spend an evening having cocktails with friends. The home is within walking distance of some great eating establishments. It was a fun Christmas get away and this home was one of the reasons.
