Perfect place for family with children of all ages. Great amenities in Rumbling Bald with plenty to do. The game room with pool and foosball and other games provided a lot to do when it was raining. The internet signal was not strong enough to watch TV without a lot of buffering which was frustrating while trying to watch the Olympics - but we enjoyed other things instead.

Home was very clean, beds excellent all slept well. Make sure you have a hot spot as Wi-Fi goes in an out. You need to be able to drive curving mountain roads. Bring map as gps cuts out on back roads. But the home very nice resort excellent children loved the pool, amenities, we went on boat ride right at pier, next to great ice cream shop. Forth of July fireworks were outstanding. BEst equipped kitchen . Nice cold A/C. Loved the deck.

House and resort had everything we needed for an enjoyable week.

Wonderful home in a great location with all the amenities. Issues with the WiFi so some family members were a bit irritated.

The house was great - exactly as described. The resort has a lot to offer. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is we had issues with the resort passes. We only had 10 passes but we had reserved for 12 people. You need a pass to access pool, beach so that was problematic. I messaged owner and got no reply.
Mountains were beautiful. Chimney Rock & nearby waterfalls were some great hikes.

This place was everything we wanted- great location, all the amenities. To future visitors: You can turn the shower on by pulling on the end of the bath spout- took us a while to figure it out :)

When we arrived we had trouble with downstairs lock. We finally got it working but it was very loose. The last night it never would lick. Door on main floor to den never locked. Had to prop a chair against it. Very unnerving when its all ladies staying in the home.several light bulbs were out in lamp and hood range. Found flood lights but no other bulbs. Master toilet was clogged.I reached out immediately the host replied he would let his service ppl know. Never heard from him again nor did anyone show. We liked the home even though is outdated. But the stay would have been alot better if he had attended to our problems. We paid alot of money and then to have problems. Just disappointed!

Very nice home. We enjoyed our stay. A little tough to locate in the dark, but, may have just been me. The only issues we had were that the carpet in the master bedroom was still wet after it had been cleaned earlier in the week, we let the owner know this, and there were not enough lights on the decks esp. around the hot tub, unless we just couldn't locate them,so, it was difficult to see at night when out on the deck. There were ample beds and plenty of entertainment. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and enjoyed some quality family time.

The property was perfect for our group of eleven. There were plenty beds and plenty of room for everyone. The Mountain view from the upper balcony was breathtaking. Everyone found their favorite spot to hang out and relax. We cooked lunch and dinner and made use of the grill. The stay was very relaxing and everyone enjoyed it.

Our daughter got married in Marion and booked a house in this area. I wanted to be close to her so I was on the hunt and lucked out on this gem. It was seriously less than 1 minute from her. There are 2 parking areas to the house. We originally parked in the lower driveway and then realized we had to put the code in the front door at the top to enter the house. If you are unloading luggage, go ahead and pull to the top. We enjoyed the openess of the main living area. We all felt together and enjoyed hanging out around the kitchen counter while others were watching the game in the open living area. The space on the lower level with the pool table, tv and seating area was great as well. Our family enjoyed the space, the area and made some wonderful memories that weekend. Thank you!

8 golfers from the SC coast to mountains for a getaway trip. Home was comfortable, clean and fun. We are coming back again.

Wonderful weekend stay! Beautiful home with plenty of space and amazing views of the mountain peaks.
Would highly recommend!

Beautiful view and outdoor decks.
Large enought for a big family gathering.
Very nice amenities.

Great house for our 12 multigenerational family members. Lots of space on three separate levels and two huge decks so you never felt on top of each other. Plenty of bedrooms with comfy beds. Kitchen well stocked with equipment -but loosely organized - so you had to hunt for what you needed - which was not a big problem. Very close to resort amenities. Large, clean hot tub was great! Kirby, the property manager, was extremely quick to respond to our request for extra supplies. She is very pleasant and super friendly! The only overall drawback is the internet connection is iffy in the Lake Lure area so be patient. We would definitely go back in the future!

This home is excellent for medium to large families. We loved being able to use the amenities at the clubhouse. Having a hot tub at the house was also nice to come home to!
We would definitely rent again!

Our group of friends take a mystery trip each year. This year our mystery planners chose this location and cabin. It was perfect! If you are not comfortable driving steep hills or mountains, arrive during light hours of the day. Very tricky trying to find drive way at night if not familiar. Only recommendation is to add reflectors on either road or drive ways.

Rained the entire week but we found plenty to do. House is very spacious and well-appointed. Loved the pool table and the hot tub. There was a small issue with the hot tub but Stuart had it fixed almost immediately. Lots of amenities on resort grounds - Monday bingo was a blast. Hiked chimney rock which was worth it. The kids went gemstone mining and I would highly recommend that experience for the kids.
Such a beautiful property on beautiful grounds. This is our second year at the house and we will definitely try to book a third.

This property fit our 3 families perfectly! 8 kids ages Infant through age 14 and six adults. The house allowed the kids space to spread out and enjoy themselves while giving the adults time to enjoy each others company. We loved having the amenities of Rumbling Bald Resort too. The space was clean, and the owner responsive with communication as well.

This is a nice house with some age. Door broke in one closet, looked to be an old break that finally let loose. We did watch movies with the kids. Late afternoon sun through the wall of windows made this hard to see the screen. Would be hard to put blinds up, but maybe move the tv closer to fireplace or hang with moveable bracket. Resort staff very nice and activity cards were a plus.

We did a group of 8 guys for a golf getaway. The house is ideal for this type of trip, and we could have comfortably added another 4. We cooked/grilled dinner both nights with ease, watched multiple sporting events on multiple televisions, played pool, played cards, general camaraderie. Stu is a great host and wonderful communicator. This is a highly recommended lace to stay - for families or groups of friends. We'll be back!

If you have a large group of people or family needing a great place to stay, this is the perfect house. We had 11 guys for our golf weekend and had plenty of room to spare. The downstairs game room is awesome if you have family and it would let you spread out. This kitchen is well stocked to cook for a group. We would definitely stay here again.

We spent Christmas time together as a family at this home and we were all very pleased with the accommodations. This home has magnificent views, especially from the wrap around porches!
We were a large group and we never felt cramped. I’d say rent it and you won’t be sorry!!!

This is the nicest cabin we have ever stayed in. It was SO clean, the kitchen was well stocked and organized, plenty of living room seating for our group of 6 adults and 5 children, plus 2 dining tables gave the kids a place to sit and play and we didn’t have to clean it up for every meal. Internet worked well. Plenty of beds and the game room was a ton of fun. Beautiful views. We will stay here again for sure!

Came up to Lake Lure for my sons wedding. We had 12 adults and 2 kids here and it never seemed crowded. Space for all. Clean and comfortable accommodations. Would definitely recommend.
4.8
This home has plenty of room for a large group to gather. Our group of 12 adults easily made meals in the well appointed kitchen, slept well in the comfy beds (some were better than others), played games, watched football, and enjoyed the hot tub after hiking a trail from within the resort.
4.8
The house is laid out great to allow everyone to be together or separate as needed/wanted. The TVs and internet worked great and allowed us to watch all the sports we wanted. The view off the back porch was great. We enjoyed the game room. There are some things that need to be done to the amenities to make sure they work as they should and guests can fully enjoy them.
4.8
We had a good stay at the home. However, I would like to offer some suggestions to make future stays better.
While the kitchen is well stocked with cookware, plates, and cups/glasses, there was no other necessities like aluminum foil. There wasn't adequate amounts of paper towels and toilet paper for 12 people. The trash bags were of the cheapest quality ever and we didn't have enough for the weekend. There were no trash bags in the trash cans in the bathrooms. Additional towels would be nice to have.
4.8
This was a wonderful home to enjoy our vacation time with friends and family. Pros: lots of bedroom options for large families, great game room and multi tvs (if needed), kitchen space and seating was plenty for our group. Cons: the kitchen contained dated spices and dry good let’s from other parties, there was a total lack of organization of kitchen items - you couldn’t find much of anything, and when you did it was missing pieces or broken, billiard table was nice but broken in places, the games that were left for ppl where missing any and all the pieces needed to play. There were also many gnats that were full time guests of the kitchen. A bit much for the price to stay. We also lost power one night, from 12am to 2:30am - no storms on us either.
Overall, we had a great time, it was just a lot to take considering the cost of this home at rumbling bald.

Great house that fit 12 (6 kids) people comfortably. Enjoyed the resort amenities, boat rentals, and day outings to nearby hikes and Chimney Rock State Park.
4.8
This house is great and can accommodate many guests with their own bed (we had 12). Great for those on a golf trip with several friends. Close to both Apple Valley and Bald Mountain courses. The listing says it only accommodates 6 cars but it’s more like 10-12.
4.8
We liked the roominess of house. We could spread out and we’re not crowded. Our group were grand parents, parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins of the bride whose wedding was in mill springs. This was perfect for us. The favorite place was the great deck!!

Location is great for what you paid.
BBQ grill has lots of residue which cause to unavoidable flame and burn the meat. Outdoor deck light was fused (BBQ side) so, we used our mobile flash light to get enough lights to make sure it won’t get burned lol. Most serious concern is they don’t have disposal bins near by which you have to bring in your vehicle at main gate which is miles away.
