The location of this property is excellent for access to Nauset Beach (5 mins drive) and other attractions and services in Orleans. Located on a very quiet street/lane (save for a noisy and protective fury friend downs and across the lane!) this property has very nice and large grounds and is also a short walk of a few hundred yards away from access to Pleasant Bay (not beach territory). The cottage had everything we needed to make our stay pleasant and the overall setup could be described as "classic Cape Cod cottage rental" - speaking as someone who's been coming to the Cape for over fifty years. We didn't need to ask Ed much of anything but when we did he responded quickly.

This is our fourth year renting this house, and we will be back next year.
The house is immaculate. We appreciate that linens are provided, and the kitchen is fully appointed. I cannot think of anything that we have ever needed that was not provided. It's great to be able to pack lightly and not worry we are going to be missing something.
Location is great. Very quiet neighborhood. Close to Nauset Beach, center of Orleans, and Route 6. There is a great small market, Nauset Farms, just down the road to pick up last minute supplies without having to go into town, if needed before heading to the beach.
Ed has always been very responsive, friendly and easy to work with.
We have never stayed with children, but the house is very family friendly. The upstairs bedroom/playroom is huge and full of toys and games. When friends have visited with children, it's lovely to be able to send them upstairs to keep them occupied.
Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay in East Orleans. The property is well located in a nice residential neighborhood. The kitchen, living room and dining area were spacious and comfortable, and we loved having plentiful beach chairs, beach towels and bath towels provided. Our family got a kick out of the bocce court. The owner was super nice and gave us great advice on making the most of Orleans.

Great location- felt safe- home was very well stocked from cleaning supplies to spices and kitchen very well stocked. Air conditioning worked good in the back bedroom. Ed was very receptive when needed. Nice stay.

Air conditioning needed some improvement, otherwise it was all good.

Easy house to stay at in a lovely neighborhood. Well equipped and property has a nice, large yard. Central living areas and kitchen are a nice space for gathering, as is the deck. We did not need to turn on AC, but each room had one. The upper loft would be a wonderful area for a family with children. Ed is an attentive host who truly seems to want his guests to have a wonderful time at the Cape.

This was our third year staying at 27 Twiss and we will be back again next year. The house has everything you need. It is modern, updated, clean and comfortable. This house would be great for a family. We had friends and family in town this year with children, and when they visited for dinner we were able to send the kids upstairs to play and didn't see them until it was time to leave. The bathrooms are both large and recently redone. We love the open floor plan of the living area and the deck. The yard is huge. The owners are great and super responsive. I highly recommend it!

This is the first time we've stayed for 2 weeks and we come every summer - hands down best rental ever. Ed was fantastic and so communicative - most I've ever communicated with someone who we rented from - even checked in with us after a horrific storm passed through! The yard was enormous and perfect for cornhole games! The kitchen was amazingly stocked and we didn't even have to bring our beach chairs, boogie boards because it was all there. Can't say enough and minutes from Nauset so location couldn't be better - walked to breakfast and evenings at the Barley Neck on the lawn. Thank you Ed for a great stay!

Ed and Kate were wonderful hosts! All details about the property and check-in/check-out process were clear and straight forward. Our family had a terrific stay in the house and on the cape. Nearby beaches and restaurants were great as well! Would recommend the drive to Mayflower Beach too.
Thanks again!

We were grateful to find a house that rents less than a week. The kitchen had a lot of pans, dishes, utensils which was great. I would suggest a few more lobster crackers- we only found 2 and there were 5 of us for lobster night.

Close to beaches and town. Quiet area, well equipped kitchen, chairs, beach towels, etc. Made for a fantastic trip!

The house is in a quiet neighborhood within a walk to Pleasant Bay and one to a dock where the kids fished for blue crabs, which they loved. It's an easy bike ride up Barley Neck Rd to a couple of good restaurants, and an equally easy trip to Nauset Beach via neighborhood streets until the final stretch on Beach Rd. Orleans is a great location, with beaches on the bay side and the ocean side and access to the Cape Cod Rail Trail. The house was well stocked with towels and kitchen items and, with windows on all sides, had amazing breezes and cross ventilation. The pictures and description of the house are accurate and reliable. We had a great stay with 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 7-14).

This is our second stay at Ed's property. The house has absolutely everything you could need, which makes packing for vacation so much easier. We were so happy they decided to include linens this year. It's a great location - short drive to town but private and quiet. Close to Nauset Beach and you do not have to deal with any traffic between the house and the beach. Everything is new and very clean. We will definitely stay again!

This was a nice, fairly spacious house and property. Loved the two full baths and outdoor shower. The second floor bedroom was huge with four twin beds and plenty of extra room and would be great for kids. The roomy kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. We needed 5 beach chairs and only brought two. The owner had beach chairs for guests to borrow. Loved that we didn’t have to lug all 5 from home. We sat on the deck or in the yard every day. It is a nice quiet area. There is water access close by, just down the road a very short distance in two different spots. It was a bit mucky but still nice to have that available. Some of us did paddle board from there. And the view from those spots is beautiful. It is also very close to Nauset Beach and some cute shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

The house has everything you need to be comfortable. The owners are very thoughtful. In addition to all the kitchen equipment to cook any meals you could want, there are lots of toys for kids, a great yard with perfect pit for a fire, outdoor shower, and lots of nice towels. Perfect place

Check in was a breeze. Everything we needed for a vacation was provided. Convenient to a couple of local markets with delicious take out sandwiches and dinners. This place is also convenient to all parts of the cape, from Sandwich to Provincetown. 35 - 45 minutes gets you to either end and so much in between. Ed answered all our questions quickly. Any concerns he was always within reach. We would stay there again anytime we are back on the Cape.

The house is in a nice location to get to local beaches and explore the island, while also being in a quiet neighborhood just off the beaten path. The yard was nice for hanging out after a busy day and for having a campfire at night.

One of the best bangs for my buck that I have stayed on Cape. Great location in Orleans close to Nauset and restaurants but far enough away thats its quiet and peaceful when you are outside. HUGE yard great for 7+ year old kids plenty of room for outdoor games.

Our family enjoyed a lovely week at Twiss Road. Great, quiet property perfect for stargazing and walks through beautiful, surrounding neighborhoods and bay areas. Live, outdoor music Thurs-Sunday at nearby Barley Neck Inn. Close to both Skaket and Nauset beaches and downtown area. Host easy to get in touch with and responsive. Orleans is the perfect town for a family vacation!

Enjoyed our stay here. Liked the cleanliness of the house and the location was ideal for us.
Quiet neighborhood just minutes to Nauset Beach and downtown Orleans and 25 minutes to Marconi Beach.
Owner was super helpful and welcoming.

We had a lovely stay in Ed’s home. The location was great, near beaches, shops and restaurants but also secluded enough. The house was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed lots of the great amenities… fully equipped kitchen, outdoor grill, fire pit, use of beach towels and chairs, boogie board, convenient outdoor shower. Ed was easy to reach and very helpful.

My family enjoyed our stay here! The hosts were responsive to questions and were very welcoming. We were able to take our toddlers on walks through the area and they loved running around the yard. There was also a play area with toys for little kids in the loft space! It was the perfect amount of space for two couples and a few kids. (Note: the space isn’t baby/toddler proofed, but is definitely kid-friendly.)

This classic Cape Cod house is perfectly located on a quiet street, with easy access to National Seashore, the bike trail, and several nice walks. Provincetown and Chatham are just a quick ride away, and there are many great restaurants within a few miles. Easy access to shopping if needed; I had not realized that bed linens and towels were not included (my fault) so I was happy to find a TJMaxx just a few miles away. The house is well-stocked, convenient, and comfortable. We didn't use the adorable upstairs room or the yard much, but this house is a great choice for families! We hope to return soon! Thanks, Ed!

We had an amazing time staying here for a short visit in June, and only wished we had stayed a full week. Great location, close to beaches, places to eat, all kinds of activities. We enjoyed walking down the lane to the bay, cooking out at the fire pit and playing bocce, and just relaxing. Had a minor communication issue on our day of arrival, but it all worked out fine. Lovely place and we would definitely stay here again.

This was our first trip to Orleans. We absolutely loved this house and location! The house is perfect and had everything that we needed for our stay. We stayed for 10 days in August 2018. We had two families sharing the house. Our kids 2, 4, and 6 years old all enjoyed the upstairs loft. It was a great play space for them. The kids loved this trip and vacation. They talked about it for weeks afterwards. The house was well stocked, especially the kitchen. It is in an ideal location – close to Nauset and Skaket beaches. You cannot ask for a better location. We loved the yard and outdoor shower. The owners were great to work with, friendly, very responsive, and helpful. We will definitely rent this house in the future. It is a gem! We highly recommend this house.

My family of four had a great time in this house. We had a second family of four join us for a few nights, and there was plenty of room. Kids loved having the second floor to themselves. The kitchen and bathrooms were nice and clean. The owner was helpful and easy to communicate with. Large yard in a quite neighborhood with a great fire pit. Close to great beaches and restaurants. The only minor issue, it would of been nice to have basic cable or even just an antenna for local channels. Would of been nice to watch the World Cup games or Red Sox. But other than that it was perfect. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Ed's home in July with family from out of town. It was our first time on the cape. It is a perfect spot and not far from many things to do. The home is clean and has everything you need.

Our family had a great time at Ed’s place. The house was rustic but clean. The location was perfect for exploring both ocean and bayside beaches, as well as kayaking the salt marshes around Barley Neck. The kids really enjoyed the large yard (and the sleeping loft in the house.) We wished the AC units could have been just a bit stronger to cool the house, but there was a great cross breeze when the windows were opened so not a big deal for us. The owner was very helpful and responsive to all inquiries. We would stay here again.
