The property was very lovely, however, we have not ever rented anything that did not include all the amenities such as soap, shampoo bed sheets and towels. To be honest the fine print did say bedding and linens were not included in rentals less than 7 days. This was just a shock when the owner pointed it out to me. We missed the fine print. However, nothing was mentioned we needed to bring bath soap and shampoo. After long flight, the last thing we wanted to do was take a shower without shampoo and soap. We had trouble renting linens due to the fact the website was not compatible with an iPhone, however, this was not mentioned on the phone or on the website. After one hr struggling to rent towels and linens, the linen service helped by taking my order over the phone. Bottom line, I would prefer charging enough to cover towels, sheets & soap

Beautiful home on Smith Mountain Lake. Great location in quiet cove and the house had everything we needed. We were just not prepared for the amount stairs down to lake.

Our family has enjoyed Smith Mountain Lake and this house for the 3rd summer. We were surprised to find linens provided this year , a welcome addition. The kitchen is well equipped, use of the kayaks very nice, and the cool in the house most welcome.

We loved the house - plenty of room for all of us. Everything in the house worked great. Kitchen was well-stocked. Host communication was outstanding. We always got answers to our questions from the host within a few minutes. I highly recommend this property and host. I was a little concerned that our boat would get a beating from waves given the proximity to the main channel but that was not at all the case. We had room to dock our boat and a PWC. We even enjoyed swimming off the dock. Everyone had an awesome time.

We were several friends who came down for a weekend - the house accommodated us so well with each person having their own bed and lots of bathrooms. The kitchen is fully stocked and great labeling to make it easier to return items to their right place. Making group dinners was easy.
We used the kayaks and explored the coves.

This beautiful home is the perfect place for a family or friends weekend on SML. Renovated kitchen looks great and dock area is awesome. Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the tranquility.

Our family was thrilled with this space. It easily accommodated our family and was very comfortable.
If you have toddlers you will want to bring a baby gate for the stairs.

This home was perfect in every way for our group. Plenty of space for all to move about with plenty of beds, a well-stocked kitchen and a location that just screams 'Relax'. The property manager was a great communicator and the stay went off without a hitch. I can't say enough great things about this home or the host. We'll be back.

There are a lot of steps down to the lake. The pics didn’t really reflect this. Love the house and the screened in porch.

The place was great. Enough room for everyone to have their own space and to get together. Beautiful view. I loved see all of the deer around. Would definitely stay there again.

This property was great for our mixed family getaway. The home had plenty of bedrooms, sleeping areas, bathrooms, eating areas and places to enjoy outside. We loved the screened in porch, especially when it rained, as well as the boat dock and upper level deck. The kids really enjoyed jumping into the water from the deck. There was ample room for our boat and jet ski and the location on the lake was perfect! Check in was a breeze and the owner was very responsive, which we appreciated. Note: There are a lot of stairs from the home to the water (about 50 deck to dock). The kids had no problem hiking up and down but it was a bit challenging for those 40 and over to make multiple trips.

Cute house! Perfect for our girls weekend away. We had ages 1-84 in our group and the house met all of our needs. We would stay again.

This house was exactly what it was advertised to be. The only thing that I would change, would be an easier way to have bedding and towels.

It was comfortable. A nice place. There are a lot of steps to the dock. Docking our in board boat was challenging. Not a lot of space between the dock and the neighbors dock. The grand children enjoyed jumping off the top deck of the boat house and swimming in the cove

Location was great. Owner was very helpful. House needs a bit of work, ie updated kitchen and new carpets. Cleaning crew could have done a lot better. We had to “re-clean” bathrooms. Dock is in poor shape. We felt that the upstairs deck was unsafe as it swayed with only 2 people on it. Also, wish there had been more “lake toys” available for guests. Only one large float was usable.

The house was perfect and accommodated our large family. The teenagers loved swimming around the dock and taking out their kayak’s. We also enjoyed the fishing. This was one of our best family vacations! The owner is very easy to get a hold of in case you have a question.

Wonderful cove. Works for young and old and in between. Owners are always ready to answer and fix any problems.
Large table seats our 11. Well equipped kitchen. Shaded dock area.
Comfortable home. Not fancy but perfect place to really relax. Need to be able to manage lots of stairs.
Planning to return again next summer.

The property was more breathtaking in person! We had people from Newport News, IL, and OH for my daughter’s graduation from VA Tech. The house is an hour and 15 mins from Tech but definitely worth the drive!!!! We are already trying to figure out dates to return next year!

The house had a beautiful setting in April, rhododendrons were flowering all up and down the slope in the backyard. Enjoyed jumping off the dock into the lake, very well kept, well stocked, and charming house. Richard provided timely information and allowed us to check in early. He also was responsive when there was a power outage (wider area outage, nothing wrong with the house). Great place and we have special memories of our Easter weekend there.

This place had everything we needed for a 4-generation family gathering. Although it was much too cold to enjoy the lake (or even the fire pit), we had a great time in this very comfortable home. The kitchen is equipped with everything one would need, and the ample bedrooms and family rooms easily absorbed our group of 11. We loved that the owner put up a Christmas tree and decorations prior to our arrival. And the views from the house of the lake and sunsets were an added bonus. We would definitely return for another stay.

Beautiful property, spacious, clean and timely and one on one responses from home owner via calls. I recommend this property for family and/or friends to rent. There is room for everyone to have their own space. Great Kitchen and plenty of seating both inside and out.

We very much enjoyed our stay! The house was well stocked with everything we needed for the kitchen. The beds and rooms were all very comfortable, and we felt at home. It was a great place to spend time as a family. It was a little tricky with our two small children down by the dock and with the narrow staircases, but we made it work! We loved the screened porch and big dining table for family meals and playing games at night. The drive in is a little tricky, especially in the dark or if you get car sick easily, but the GPS got us there without issue. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, I wouldn’t hesitate to book this property.

We came to Bedford area for a wedding and this house the more than spacious enough to accommodate our group of 10 (with 6 kids 2-8yrs). It was a nice retreat with beautiful views!

This was a lovely place to retreat with my siblings and their spouses. Very comfortable home and amazing location. My first visit to Smith Mountain Lake, and I will surely return. We really enjoyed the Booker T. Washington National Monument, renting a boat on the lake, and hiking in Smith Mountain Lake State Park.

Great place to relax and have quality family time. The house comfortably accommodated 8 adults and 3 children (ages 7 months -10 years). The dock was a great place to gather and catch up. Would definitely recommend!

This home is very spacious and I love the layout for larger groups. I take my employees here each year and we have more than enough space. The location is convenient on the lake and the dock area has a shallow swimming area that I love. The walk down the stairs to the lake would likely be hard for the elderly but other than that this property is amazing. The owner, Rich, is also a joy to work with! I highly suggest this property!

We had a terrific time on the lake. The house was roomy and clean. Nice dock for swimming, parking the boat and hanging out. We all got in shape walking the stairs. Screened in porch was a favorite in the evening. We would spend time there again.

We all had a great time at the lake house.
However there were some things that renters should be aware of. The dock ladder was held together with metal hose clamps and deck screws. At first, we weren’t really bothered by this. Then, it broke when my friend was climbing up it and left a nasty bruise on her arm. We weren’t able to use it after that, obviously.
While it doesn’t state that renters will be able to dock boats on the dock, we felt that we would be able to use it for our boat. We were wrong. The owner keeps his boat there. There is very little space to tie it alongside the dock, as there is another dock very close to it. We still managed to do that but noticed that the boards on the side of the dock are loose and shift side to side easily, in need of maintenance.
We enjoyed the convenience of the washer and dryer. Just be prepared that the dryer takes 2 complete cycles to dry any thing in it.
The house was not the cleanest we have stayed in. There were cobwebs clearly visible on the dining room chandelier and in the living room area. One upstairs shower had mildew stains and there were a few bugs found in the master shower. The downstairs shower was beautiful, but it leaked horribly and has weakened the floor in the attached bedroom. We just tried to avoid that area.
We did enjoy the screened porch. It was relaxing to share laughter each morning while enjoying coffee. The kitchen was very well equipped. We were able to make each of our meals with ease. The house was easy to cool with the 2 A/c units also.
Our families enjoyed the sun deck of the dock and the “beach” area too. We were in the lake every day and made lots of good memories.

Easy Street makes it all easy!
Absolutely nothing but good things to say . This is a wonderful home away from home with the best of what a stay at the lake should provide.
