About this farm stay rental
Il Berneto is an all purpose holiday villa with a swimming pool, on the border of Tuscany and Umbria: the ideal choice for your perfect holiday in the Italian countryside.
The villa sits about 500 meters above sea level in 300 acres of flowered fields, olive groves with woodlands that have stunning views of the Umbrian hills. It is built entirely of local stones and was formerly a farmhouse that was erected on the ruins of the ancient 'Castel Brandetto”, built in 1000 AD: the original walls of the castle can still be seen in the back of the house. Last renovation in 2008.
The property includes an expansive garden, the Aia, with a lovely grass field and beautiful trees, a beautiful swimming pool, and 1000 olive trees that produce traditional Umbrian olive oil every year. The swimming pool, 14 meters in length, is discretely placed a few meters from the house, just out of sight, enjoying complete privacy. Il Berneto can host up to 20 people in summer. Supermarket, coffee shops and restaurants at walking distance.

The greatest advantage that this place has is the view from the garden and the large swimming pool looking the view. It is amazing!!!! Otherwise other wonderful aspects about Il Berneto is the size of the house with many bedrooms, easy walk to gelato shop & cafe, restaurants & the yearly village festival in 2nd week of August.
Il Berneto is fantastic place for a large gathering of family and friends with numerous number of bedrooms & bathrooms, different living spaces & 2 kitchens. Family room with bunk beds can sleep up to 6 persons, another bunk bed room sleeps 4 persons. Other rooms are double beds and all rooms with air con.
Martina and Angelino were wonderful and responsive to our requests very quickly, if anything was missing. Delightful to wake up in the morning to see new swim floats that Angelino had organised for us.
5 stars for Il Berneto, we will be coming back!!

Very enjoyable stay for all the family of 13. Lots of facilities indoors and outside. Supermarket and cafe at end of drive are very convenient. The pool has a deep end with diving board and a large shallow end.

We had a wonderful week at Il Berneto. Located close to a beautiful and picturesque medieval town with a gelateria, a coffee bar and the fabulous Seven Cafe just a short walk away, the property is a serene escape with beautiful vistas. The house is large and easily accommodated our extended family of 10. There are lots of play spaces, a foosball and ping-pong table, a garden with easily accessible fresh produce, and a fabulous, refreshing pool. Angelino is the very helpful groundskeeper, and Martina is the very helpful and responsive owner. She recommended Natalina who prepared a delicious celebratory dinner on our last night, and led us in a pasta making evening early in our stay. Martina told us about several festivities in Monteleone which we enjoyed very much. The house is located conveniently for day trips to Orvieto, Perugia, Assisi and the delightful Città di Pieve (which is very close by). It was a wonderful week, and one we will never forget.

We were hosted with generosity and friendly greeting. Every aspect of privacy and comfort were available for us, from infant to grandparents. It was a dream!

Centrally located between Umbria and Tuscany, this property is perfect for those interested in experiencing everything these two regions have to offer. The check-in process was seamless, and the property manager was always in touch via text to ensure our well-being. As a family of eight, we found everything we needed readily available, and the additional supplies provided were a welcome touch. Don't forget to make reservations at "7" Restaurant, located just a quarter mile down the road from the house. It offers an unforgettable dining experience. We also highly recommend booking their truffle hunting tour. Lastly, there is a supermarket conveniently located just down the driveway, making it easy to access any essentials. Our overall experience was fantastic, and we created many cherished memories during our stay here.

My family of 14 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Il Berneto and were so sad to leave! Martina, the homeowner, was very communicative from before our arrival, when checking in, & during our stay. She let us know about some festivities that happened to be taking place in town the week we were there & in which we were happy to participate. She also was very helpful in arranging for Natalia to cook some Umbrian meals a few days for us. Natalia was just wonderful & her cooking was delicious! We were greeted by Angelino upon our arrival, who gave us a tour of the property and showed us where everything was: pool, pizza oven, grill, toys, etc. He also returned each morning to clean the pool and makes sure the grounds were ready for our use. The house was well stocked, big enough to accommodate all of us comfortably, and there were plenty of rooms for all of us to feel like we had privacy but also have quiet time if we wanted. We hope to be able to return to Il Berneto again soon and ideally keep coming back! If you are lucky enough to stay here, you will be sure to have a magical a time as we did! Grazie Mille, Martina, Natalia, & Angelino!

Our family came from various parts of the US to Il Berneto to celebrate my husband's 80th birthday. We were 10 from a6 years to 80) adults and 8 children (from 4-13). It was very hot in Italy but the fabulous swimming pool at the farmhouse cooled everyone off - morning, noon and night. We all played in the pool for many hours each day and the little ones learned to swim and dive. We walked to CafeLatte for coffee, gelato and wine and to Conad for groceries. The Seven Cafe is a magnificent restaurant. We had many lunches and dinners there. We took day trips to all the hill towns and went to Citta Della Pieve for shopping and more gelato and more fabulous restaurants. Martina was a great communicator before and during our stay. She found a magnificent woman to cook a few meals for us which were beyond amazing. At night, we played volleyball, board and card games. It was so easy to interact with everyone in the house and outside. We had a truly magical time. A Dream Trip. An experience of a lifetime.

A wonderful place for three or four families to get together, in our case for an anniversary celebration. Plenty of outside space and a large and pristine swimming pool.

An Amazing Place to stay in Umbria
Our friends had stayed at Il Berneto previously and recommended it, so we had high expectations and our visit exceeded our expectations in every possible way.
The house itself is fantastic, with plenty of room for our group of ten people (two families, and could easily fit more), the property is gorgeous, the pool is excellent with a one in a million view of the cute medieval town of Monteleone.
We stayed a week, and we spent some days just in the local village and at the pool, and some days travelling to nearby towns. It was a great, relaxing way to visit Italy, and our 10-16 kids enjoyed the pool time mixed with cultural experiences . . and they enjoyed walking to the Gellateria every day (as we enjoyed walking to the coffee shop).
It was a great stay - the hosts were excellent and super informative and helpful at every turn. The location was absolutely majestic. It was all very much, excellent.

The Perfect Place!
We are 4 older couples that stayed this week at Il Berneto. It is an amazing place, very big & spacious but feels like a family home. It is in a beautiful setting with great views of the small town & valley. The pool is big & very well taken care of & it was a really nice touch that we could pick vegetables from the garden. The location is amazing- 2 hours from Rome & near many gorgeous Umbrian towns. The owner, Martina, was the best host possible. She greeted us with warmth & helped us immediately with any problem. We will definitely go back- it is the perfect Umbrian villa!

Absolutely Fabulous!!
My family and I stayed at Il Berneto for 12 days. There were 18 of us ranging in age from 12 - 77. We fit comfortably in the spacious house. The rooms were perfect and there were plenty of bathrooms. We loved our family dinners around the huge dining room table and our lazy days by the pool. The views from the property are magnificent.
Martina and Angelino were completely accommodating and made us feel so welcome. It was wonderful to be able to walk to the end of the driveway to the cafe for cappuccino, cocktails or gelato. The kids loved being able to ride the bikes there on their own. We could also walk to the little market, a few other restaurants and the little village that was hosting the photo and arts festival. August is the perfect time to visit.
The location was perfect for day trips to Perugia, Assisi, Siena, San Gimignano, Rasiglia, Firenzi, Spoletto and Orvieto. We took full advantage of both sightseeing and enjoying our Italian home playing ping pong, grilling outside and having family sing-a-longs around the piano.
I can't say enough wonderful things about our experience. It was a trip of a lifetime.

Family fun in the Umbrian sun!
Superb setup for a family get-together with loads of shared living spaces and separate bedroom areas with well appointed bathrooms that give family units within the extended family room for themselves. Air conditioning in all bedrooms gave comfort in the warm nights and the delightful pool was a magnet for all of us during the day. The fenced pool is well designed, with a generous shallow area for our 4 years olds and deeper areas for the adults, including an enticing diving board and lots of inflatables for lots of fun for all. The location of this property is wonderful with gorgeous views across to the old town of Monteleone d'Orvieto and a friendly and popular bar with great coffee, pastries cakes and gelato at the entrance to the short driveway to the house. There is also a small but well stocked supermarket behind the bar. We used logs from the generous wood store to fire up the the large pizza oven and the barbecue to cook our own tasty pizzas and meats. All the necessary implements are provided. There are plenty of well maintained bikes suitable for all ages as well as childrens ride on toys, tables and chairs and so on. We played table tennis and set up the outdoor tables and forms to eat out-doors at night.
We all had a truly wonderful family holiday in splendid Il Berneto. It has everything and could not have wished for anything more. We hope that we can come back again and we heartily recommend this property.

Great stay at Il Berneto
Our party of 10 had a wonderful time. Martina was very helpful with coordinating local transportation and easy to work with. The property was beautiful, with gorgeous views in every direction. Between daily swims at the pool, making pizza in the outdoor oven, walking to gelato at the end of the driveway, and enjoying Anna’s lasagna, it was a very relaxing stay.

A bit of Heaven on this earth!
This is our second stay at il Berneto. This time we shared it with 13 members of our family who found it enchanting. We all lead very busy lives and our stay here was peaceful and rejuvenating. Its central location not far off the A1 allowed us day trips to Siena, Orvieto, Florence, and a farther trip to Venice where we overnighted. The community of Monteleone d'Orvieto is most welcoming and the convenience of Caffelatte (pastries, coffee and gelato) and the Conad grocery was another plus. As it was quite hot during our visit, we made good use of the pool.
The garden with fresh vegetables and the producing fruit trees were an unexpected delight. I don't think we've ever eaten so many apricots!
All and all a highly recommended experience!

Tranquil, beautiful home for a relaxing stay
Il Berneto is just beautiful. Once we drove through the gate to get to the grounds it was all and more we imagined. The grounds around the villa are perfectly maintained. One immediately feels that the house is a home, not just a rental house, but decorated with love and care. You find all the cooking equipment, toys for kids and even bicycles to use. We were able to pick salad and herbs from the garden for our dinners. Martina and her son Pietro were always available with help and local tips. There are no neighbors so the experience was very tranquil. We can only recommend this charming Umbrian home.

Charming Villa!
Il Berneto is lovely. The house is beautiful with lots of old world charm. From both the house and the pool there is a great view of the local town. We were a group of 14 and had plenty of space. We made great use of the pool, ping pong table and washing machine. The wine opener also got plenty of use! We made trips to several great wineries in Montepulciano. We also enjoyed visiting Orvieto, Civita di Bagnoregio and the hot springs at Terme di Saturnia.
Having a cafe and store at the end of the driveway was very convenient. Everyone could wake up on their own schedule and walk down for coffee or breakfast - making the mornings very relaxing. We also enjoyed being able to walk to Cafe Seven for great food and hospitality. One night we ordered food from restaurant L’Ape Regina and Martina arranged for Anna to come help serve dinner and clean up - such a treat. Martina also helped arrange transportation to Siena for the Palio festivities.
We loved our time at Il Berneto. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. Thank you Martina for sharing your beautiful home and being a charming hostess.

Wonderful and memorable
We, all 15 of us from Germany and US, had a great time at Il Berneto. The house and its grounds are wonderful to rest and relax. The views, the pool, the fireplace, the short walk to shops and cafe, the beautiful village and the great welcome from everyone were memorable. Actually, it was out of a dream. Il Berneto is a great place to bring the family together. Our 13 year old son said that Il Berneto was the best part of his European vacation.

Fantastic property outstanding location
We visited the property to celebrate a special birthday occasion in late September. Easily located within an approx 2 to 3 hour drive from major airports the property was easily in reach to people flying in from different places to Rome, Pisa, Bologna and Florence.
This is a special property. Outstanding location, spacious, well kept and cared for by caretakers Angelino and Anna (including use of a vege patch!). Any issues that arose were dealt with quickly. A+ communication. We would love to return. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise.

Wonderful Experience
Il Berneto is a beautiful home on the edge of a village that is almost too Italian to be real and barely gets a mention in the guide books. Our host was responsive, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. The house is huge and can easily accommodate 3-4 families. The house has character, charm and was well equipped for the whole family from grandparents to kids. We would happily return.

Trip of a lifetime
Just finished a week at IL Berneto with family & friends (9 total) and the Villa was actually more beautiful than the pictures if you can imagine. Martina was wonderful as was Angelo and Anna who cooked for us one night. The location is great for visiting Tuscany and Umbria with easy day trips (all within an hour except Florence) to Sienna, Assisi, Montepulciano, Florence and Orvieto. There is a pastry/gelato shop & a small market at the end of the beautiful entrance to the Villa that you can walk to for any food or wine you need. Café Seven had great food and you can arrange a local winery tour/tasting with the owner whose cousin Seffano runs the winery a few miles from the Villa. The weather was wonderful and we were lucky to have the pool open a few days before it was closed for the season as a gift from Martina. I can't wait to go back and would recommend this property for anyone and again thank you Martina for a great week.

Best Villa Rental Ever!!
Il Berneto is magical -- our group of 18 (8 adults and 10 kids) just completed our week stay, and we wish we were staying longer. As with many of the other reviews, our only negative is that we have to leave. We absolutely LOVED everything about our stay at IL Berneto - the villa itself is amazingly well done, the property, pool and view outstanding and we also loved our little adopted town of Monteleone D' Orvieto. Martina and Carlotta were great to work with and Angelino and Anna very helpful and Anna cooked us a fantastic meal one night. The combination of the country/quiet setting of Il Berneto with being able to also walk right into the town and to Gelato/Dinner right at the end of the long driveway was perfect for our group. We have travelled many times both in the US and abroad and we have all agreed that this was our favorite villa and overall vacation experience ever. Also, easy travel to many great hill towns, etc. Highlight for the kids (and grown-ups) were Asissi, Civita di Bagnaregio. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home. We would love to come back some day!!

We love Il Berneto
From the moment we arrived, we knew this was a special place. Martina and Carlotta met us @ the house after our long journey, so kind and engaging. We already felt @ home! The house was perfect for our large group of friends and family. The first week we even used the fireplace, which made it all the more magical. They have everything you need, including an incredibly well-appointed kitchen where we cooked many meals. The house is so clean and well-maintained, and Anna and her crew go out of their way to be helpful. Definitely eat lunch @ Seven (we went many times), and enjoy their wine selection. Andrea and Michele are terrific. Visit cafe latte for gelato and treats. The butcher in town is fantastic too. Everything so fresh!! We had an amazing time. Thanks for sharing your home. We loved it!!

Unbelievably beautiful - Amazing family vacation
This is what is must be like to summer at an old family place at the top of a Tuscan hill town. The views were spectacular from all sides of property. The place is even more beautiful that in the pictures. Angelo and Martina were wonderful hosts. Don't miss using the pizza oven -worth the euros to have Angelo spend 3-4 hours firing it up (a hot and messy job!). We found pizza dough at the larger grocery store near the train station - it's sold in long rolls in the refrigerated section, not the dough balls I was expecting.
We had absolutely everything we needed either at the villa or within walking distance - including the oft-mentioned gelateria at the end of the drive. Cappuccino bar is just a little further up the main road on the left. Another don't-miss is the walk through town to the 180 degree overlook. There's not much in town itself (no touristy shopping for example) but it's unbelievably picturesque.
A few notes/recommendations:
This property is so charming and truly ancient in some parts. However, the inherent unevenness of steps/flooring and frequent level changes in the house made it a little treacherous for those with mobility issues, especially in the middle of the night. Not a criticism, just a note for those who might need to worry about that.
The beds are hard. There's no way around it. I should be used to the Italian standard mattress by now but....ouch.
No way to avoid a car rental. The drive down the hill to either the A1 or the train station is about 15 minutes and not walkable. We found that there was more variety and frequency of trains if we drove to Orvieto train station - about 20 minutes away. Orvieto should be a required stop regardless for anyone visiting this part of Italy. One of the most spectacular towns in Europe.

What an amazing place
We spent a fantastic week at Il Berneto in July 2014. We were a large group of 6 adults and 8 children and all of us were hugely impressed. The swimming pool is great and the rooms all very comfortable and some with fantastic views. We love cooking and the kitchen seemed equipped with everything we could possible think of wanting. The standard of everything was very high and you could sense the property is maintained by a family who takes great pride and who thoroughly enjoys spending their own holidays there. Martina and Marco made us feel incredibly welcome on arrival and we would have no hesitation about going back to Il Berneto again in the future - I hope we will have the opportunity. Don't hesitate - you will love it here.

Absolutely brilliant
This property was absolutely perfect for our family holiday. A group boasting 8 adults and 8 children under 12, il Berneto was everything we could have possibly hoped for. With families traveling from Switzerland, Britain and the US the location was great and easy to get to. Plenty of attractions nearby as well. With Monteleone only a short walk away, there was never any need to take the car out for shopping.
The house is brilliant with plenty of bedrooms and space. It's very clean, well appointed and everything you could possibly need is provided. The pool was more than ample in terms of size. The grounds are huge, plenty of space for the children to play and explore.
The landlords could not have been more helpful and were there for us whenever we needed anything.

Truly wonderful
Based on the reviews we had high hopes and Il Berneto was still even better than expected. What a truly wonderful place. It has everything you could want for a family or group vacation - great location, stunning grounds and views, a spacious and well-maintained beautiful house. Martina is the consummate host - thank you so much for opening your family's farmhouse to vacation rentals!
We went off-season in November for 8 days. It ended up being a great time to visit - it was olive harvest time. We were greeted by Martina and her mother with a bottle of freshly milled olive oil made from the olive trees on the property. We picked up a couple more bottles later as well at the mill close to the town of Fabro Scala a short drive away. Before and after we arrived, Martina was always quick to respond to any questions and provided us with many recommendations for things to do and places to visit in the region. She even arranged a private tasting for us at the winery Tenuta Corini nearby.
We took easy day trips to Orvieto, Assisi, Civita di Bagnoregio, Perugia (and the Case del Cioccolato outside of town for a tour) and a couple of times to Citta della Pieve which is another of the many hilltop towns a short drive away. It was nice to be able to avoid the crowds in off-season. Our two year old son never wanted to leave the propery because he loved playing inside and on the grounds with all of the kids toys, especially the little tractor. That was fine with us as we loved just wandering to the quiet non-touristy town of Monteleone d'Orvieto, picking up groceries at the store at the end of the lane and cooking at home. We even roasted chestnuts in the large living room fireplace. One night Anna - who does a wonderful job as housekeeper - cooked a terrific many course meal for us as well.
There are a couple of decent cafe's within a very short walk - one just at the end of the lane to the house by the road and the other (Seven Cafe) just a couple of minutes further walking. La Tana del Gufo is a good family restaurant/pizzeria also less than a 10 minute walk away.
Normally my wife and I don't like going back to same place twice, but we hope to make Il Berneto one of the exceptions. We really hope to make it back soon for another stay!

Fantastic Villa
Our group of 11 friends rented this villa to celebrate a 70th birthday and also 25 years of friendship. This villa met and exceed every possible expectation. When you arrive, you drive down this beautiful driveway and at the end is this gorgeous home with breath-taking views. The walled town of Monteleone d'Orvieto is to the west and another equally beautiful town is in the east. The interior of the villa is so large with many rooms for gathering, or quiet areas if you want to sit and read a book. Many of our group like to cook, so we often gathered around the very well equiped larger kitchen to make gnocchis or prepare some appetizers to share along with some fantastic wine of the region. There are many dining options either inside or take some tables outside and enjoy your meal with the beautiful views of the olive trees, gardens and the towns nearby. We hired Anna for two evenings and were thrilled with her meal choices and culinary capabilities. Our group also enjoyed taking a cooking lessons at a nearby restaurant - highly recommended! Each day we went out exploring various towns in Northern Umbria and Tuscany. Some of the highlights were Orvieto, Multipulciano, Perugia, Siena, Florence. There is a good grocery store in Fabro, about 10 minutes away - very near A1. The local town has a bar/cafe called Seven that is great and also a small store and bakery. People were very nice helping us out with directions, even drove us to a winery 10 minutes away because they thought we might get lost. Martina is such a delight to work with. She will come at the beginning of your stay and tour you around the house and find our what your particular needs are and how she can help you attain them. Our group would love to go back again for another stay and next time spend more time enjoying the villa and the countryside near it. It truly was A TRIP OF A LIFETIME!

Gorgeous Villa
From the time you enter this Villa you will be amazed...... The View is so breath taking, the villa so clean and magnificent. We had a family reunion there and it was so perfect. We made pizzas in the brick oven, swam in the pool, everyone had the time of their lives. We also took day trips to Orvietto, Assisi, Caste de Leone, Cortona. Just a beautiful vacation. Thank you Martina and everyone who made this vacation memorable!!

This place is magical
If you want to have an authentic, peaceful and incredibly relaxing vacation then you should choose il Berneto for AT LEAST a week's time. I have stayed there twice now and every time I leave feeling that one week is not long enough, next year I want to stay for a month.
The amount of attention to detail is incredible. I ate out of the luscious garden every day, used the family-made olive oil and picked cherries from the cherry tree. The owners are incredibly thoughtful and hospitable hosts who have put effort towards your every need. Not only is the villa itself incredible, it is walking distance from the quaint, off the beaten tourist path, hill top town of Monteleone di Orvieto which is breath taking to walk through the old town. The villa is also centrally located so it is easy to do day trips to other cities such as Montepulciano, Orvieto and a bike's distance to Civita del Pieve.
I went both for a family reunion and I ran a yoga/mediation retreat there, the villa was perfect for both uses. The indoor spaces really lend towards family living; there are huge tables where everyone can sit together and enjoy dinner. Other perks besides the cherry trees and garden: swimming pool, bikes, local Italian cell phone to call for reservations or call Martina if you have a question, brick pizza oven, play toys for kids and so much more I can't think of right now.
Love to il Berneto, I wish that everyone could experience this place at least once in their lives, as for me, I am going back next year, we already booked for the beginning of July.

Fabulous Vacation
Fantastic-a wonderful fun and relaxing 10 days "in our second home" in Italy. Il Berneto became our home for the second time in 3 years. Our family of 14 ranging in age from 3 to grandparents loved everything about this fabulous farm home. It is so spacious that everyone has their own space yet cozy enough that we can enjoy being together for meals and socializing. The house and the grounds are everything you would imagine in a movie about Umbria. The pool is perfect for the warm days in June. We also enjoyed playing volleyball and soccer on the large lawn.
The friendly and small town of Monteleone d'Orvieto is but a short walk from the villa and provides great opportunities for meeting the local residents, perfecting your Italian, and having some great meals. The new Caffellatte offers the most mouth-watering pastries and freshly made gelato-new flavors daily.
We loved the fantastic meals prepared by Anna-all homemade and very traditional. Angelino was there daily to tend to the garden and grounds and assuring us that anything we needed would be provided. They are the heart of making our visit so great.
No one wanted to ever leave and the children all would like to move there for the summer. When we took day trips to other towns everyone was anxious to return to the peace, quiet and tranquility of Il Berneto. For our family this is truly a magical place in the most beautiful country Italy

Our annual family reunion...
... this year at Il Berneto. And now we are at the final morning of a fabulous week, capped off last night by Anna's wonderful for course meal. (Crostata! mmmmm!) Sixteen of us relaxed, swam, talked, ate, and drank a few glasses of wine -- an absolutely perfect week here in this gorgeous house. Six kids (and most of the adults) made excellent use of the swimming pool; we picked and ate delicious tomatoes, basil, and chard from the vegetable garden; cooked pizzas in the pizza oven; walked to Bar Seven for gelato and coffee; stayed up late chatting and laughing under a full moon. An amazing week!
The house is incredibly comfortable. Everything that we needed was here, and we're already thinking about how and when we can all get together again at Il Berneto.
Thank you Martina. And thank you, too, Anna, Angelino, and everyone else who made our stay here possible.

Perfect family vacation, could not ask for more!
Il Berneto was the perfect vacation spot for our family trip with 13 people from US and Denmark. The town was close and neighborly, the house and pool were exactly as expected from the listing information and pictures, we could not have asked for more!
It is a 5 minute walk to the nearby town, that has a grocery store, several restaurants and the always-open "7 Cafe" (ask for Michele). The people could not have been more friendly and helpful, by the end of the week we felt like part of the town life. Martina, Il Berneto’s owner, was very helpful in giving us a tour of the town on our arrival and arranging restaurant reservations.
The house is in excellent condition, with much-appreciated air-conditioning in all the bedrooms and renovated bathrooms. Martina was very helpful and responsive before we arrived, she went out of her way to help us set-up an extra bedroom with a double (sofa) bed. The pool and grounds were well-maintained, and Angelino was there every morning to make sure everything was in order. We even picked vegetables from the garden for salads during the stay. The new pool is large, with plenty of chairs and shaded seating, games and pool toys were provided as well. The pool made the trip as the place for everyone to gather and hang out!
Anna and Angelino were the perfect caretakers. They helped us cook pizza’s one night in the pizza oven (ask Anna to bring some of her ingredients!), and Anna cooked a delicious Italian meal for the whole family during the week. They were always there to help us when we needed it.
For restaurants, Tana del Gufo, across from 7-café, has excellent pizza’s and steaks; the restaurant ‘up’ the round-about (L’Ape Regina) has good Italian staples of pasta and pizza. If you are looking for someone to help book tours, wine-tastings, horseback rides, during your visit call Kaylee at Chow & Ciao. We intended to visit different hill-town while we were there, but the house, pool and town provided everything we were looking for in a taste of Italy!
We look forward to our next visit to Italy and Il Berneto!
