Treat the whole crew to a vacation they won't forget when you book your next family getaway or group retreat at this bayfront Key Colony Beach duplex with accommodations for everyone. This rental includes two separate rentals combined into one with easy water access from a 35-foot dock and access to the local Cabana Club with a pool and a private beach.
Set right on a picturesque inlet of the Key Colony Bay, you'll be just a short walk from dining destinations, Key Colony Beach Golf Course, and the Cabana Club with a pool and a small beach.
As the combination of two separate rentals - Breezy Palms and Tropical Charm, this getaway can be booked separately for smaller groups, or together for everyone to enjoy.
The Spanish-tiled floors and comfy leather couches invite you to come lounge after a long day on the water. Surf the cable channels on the flatscreen HDTV while the washer/dryer takes care of the laundry. Pop in a DVD and get everyone together for a laughter-filled movie night.
On hot Florida days, the central A/C will keep you nice and cool while you plan your next adventure. Put on some background music on the stereo and sip a fresh-brewed cup of coffee while you connect to the WiFi to send off that last work email.
Make yourself a tropical cocktail and head out on the deck to take in the water views and unwind in the sea breeze. Grab the fresh catch of the day and fire up the gas BBQ to grill up a delicious dish for the whole crew. Keep the party outside with some tunes and a night cap as the stars come out.
If grilling isn't your thing, you'll have access to two kitchens so dinner will be done in half the time. With plenty of seating and dining options, everyone will be able to spread out and enjoy the meal.
Book a parasailing adventure, or stay a little closer to the ground with a stand-up paddleboard, or maybe something a little faster like a jet ski. Head to the Cabana Club for a dip in the shared pool, a snack at the pool-side cafe, or a little bit of sunbathing on the private beach.
Treat everyone to a stress-free, fun-filled getaway when you book your bayside escape to this expansive Florida Keys home.

Nice place for the cost, wish there was more outdoor furniture and the cabana club where you can use the pool and beach access was nice but had a lot of rules and was not open passed 5pm during the week and closed at 7pm on weekends but it was nice to have access to the ocean and beach somewhat close. Over all we had a good stay

This is the second time we have rented this house. It is great for large groups. I love the parking under the house, plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen has windows all around so you can look out over the canal and enjoy the beautiful views. This is an older house and could use some upgrades. Upstairs the sliding glass door leaks water and bugs come and go as they please. All the mattresses are low quality, hard to sleep on for adults. The bedding is also old and needs upgrading. There were not enough bath towels or wash cloths. You'll need to buy plastic wear at the store, there are 4 forks and 6 spoons on each side. We love Key Colony, having access to the Cabana Club, and a place to.dock.our boat.

These units were such an ideal place for our large family. It was spacious and stocked with necessities. The parking was wonderful for both cars and boats. One of our favorite parts was access to The Cabana Club! We definitely plan on staying here again.

Rented both sides. 5 couples and 3 grandkids. So much space for all of us to be together and have our own space as well. Did 3 days of deep see fishing and the grills were in great condition with plenty of propane, even a spare bottle. Just keep in mind that there are no spices, food wraps and very scarce storage containers for the fridge. Pots and pans need updating but we made due. A lot of non stick that is all peeling off so we couldn’t use those. We spent a lot of time on the back porches and really enjoyed the dock with the grandkids. Saw manatees a few times and the kids were able to catch some really cool fish. Even saw a pretty large nurse shark swim by.
The whole family loved the cabana club, beach was great and the pool was perfect. A few of the adults enjoyed the pitch and put that is directly across the street. Would definitely go back again!!

Key colony beach is not the most welcoming
We had the police called on us at 9 pm while enjoying dinner on the patio for laughing too loudly. There is a neighbor two houses down who became disruptive to the group, even coming over to our property and up the balcony. He was very intoxicated.
The property was nice for boat access, we caught tuna every day. Not may lobster in the area at all.
Key Colony Beach is just not friendly to visitors/guests.
I’m an adult and was skateboarding my dog around the neighborhood for our morning exercise and I was stopped by a police officer, I guess I was out of place and I wanted.

Arriving to the property the house is a different color than the listing photos(I mean completely different) so deferent that we went to next door neighbors house on accident (it looks more like the pictures than the actual house does). Once we got settled in the home we found out that the thermostat is locked to a window of 74-80 degrees so if you like your home to be on the cool side stay AWAY because the thermostat can be controlled remotely and the temperature was changed nightly to 80degrees (not buy us). We would wake up in the middle of the night sweating and had to keep turning the temperature back down just to sleep. The power reclining sofas aren’t operational, the cords have been removed so they don’t recline. We found a lot of sand and dust bunnies under the couch when we moved it to get something. Also the cleaning company left old moldy wet laundry in the washing machine,(the house was supposedly cleaned the day of our arrival). I would like to mention that If you rent both houses for a big family, there is no way to go between houses. You have to go up and down stairs to get to the other half of the house. None of the doors in the upstairs of one side of the duplex closed all the way unless you slam them, along with the shower doors. The location is great but the house desperately needs periodic maintenance and you can tell it’s not getting it. You can’t use the jacuzzi bathtubs in the house. I know it’s not technically listed in the add but the pictures of them in the add are very misleading. They are taped up in the house with signs “Do not use tub”. We also found mice in the house. But like I said the location is great

Excellent location and space for large group rented both units
Great location and space but both Units 521 and 531 are in need of some serious updates and maintenance. Not happy with the Vacasa mgmt. company when looking for help with issues we had with both units- unit 521 needs some updates and maintenance inside and out- grill is about rusted through and falling apart- issues with stove top in 531 , toilets didn’t flush properly- closet doors and bedroom doors in both units are in need of replacement- slider door in 521 would not lock. Called first day about trash left from a previous renter that was not recycled and picked up- which I immediately called garbage Company after I was left notice and had to wait over an hour on hold to speak with a Vacasa Rep. I sent a few e-mails to The Vacasa site but never received any response or call back after wanting to bring attention to the things we found. Sofa recliner in 521 would not recline- I felt the “SERVICE” from Mgmt. Company was lacking to say the least. As a renter you want to be sure they are advised of problems “before” you get situated and comfortable so they know it was An issue before you ever got in the Unit - with that there was no such assistance or help.

Large family gathering
Large, spacious duplex, located on a canal that worked great for docking a rental boat. The duplex needs an upgrade, doors hard to open and close, interior doors don't all latch, the place overall shows it's age, doesn't appear there is any preventive maintenance, issues only fixed as needed. Property manager was quick to deal with a couple of issues upon checking in. It served our purpose, but was over priced for the quality, even for holiday rates.

paradise
Lots of ants in the kitchen. They were everywhere especially on the counter The disposal reeked of smell. But we were able to clear it with lemon. Both hot tubs were unavailable. The membership to the clubhouse was awesome!! Thank you!! .

Vaca in Vacasa
We had both sides for the week. The house is in a great location. We had a great time and enjoyed our time staying here very much.
Suggestion for the future: eliminate the ant problem, the dock area needs fender/bumpers to protect boats from damage, and a gate on the adjoined porch so that when the whole house is used by one group there is easy access to the neighboring sides.
The biggest issue we had was a local resident 2 doors down. He complained and called the police. Trying to get us into trouble. I and everyone with me on our stay here are police and fire, needless to say, we were innocent of all his accusations. After a conversation with the local law enforcement the situation was cleared up. Just be aware of a local resident who apparently doesnt like having new neighbors every week.

Love this and it worked well for our whole family
We rented both sides for 11 days and loved it. Only thing is it could use some updating and repairs. Other than that it’s a great location and plenty of room for all of us!

Key Colony
We enjoyed our stay. There were a couple issues. The refrigerator wasn't real cold on 531 side. We had ant issues on both sides. The door knob to leave side 521 was off so couldn't exit. Wifi was low on 521 side. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time and loved having the canal behind us for the boat we rented. We would stay here again!

Great for our families!
Loved the size and the location. We rented both units. It worked very well for our families. The kids especially loved access to the Cabana club with the pool. I loved the canal to park the boat. We had a couple of minor maintenance issues but these were corrected promptly by the management agency. One improvement would be a gate on the porch between units so that families renting both could more easily go between units.

Perfect!!
It was perfect for a big family with lots of children and grandchildren. It wasn't fancy or pristine, which is why we could just totally relax and enjoy our time together. We had 2 minor separate home maintenance issues which were both repaired very quickly. I hope this duplex is available next time we visit the Keys, because it would be our #1 pick!

Fantastic Stay!
Our family reunion at both the Breezy Palms and Tropical Charm Duplex homes was perfection. The houses were exactly as described in VRBO. The Key Colony community is quickly becoming back to normal after Hurricane Irma last fall and the community pool and beach was a delight. We even caught a bunch of fish right from the canal. Docking a boat on the property is very easy. We enjoyed our experience immensely and very thankful for the opportunity to rent both houses for the same week.

NICE PLACE
THE PLACE IS NICE FOR A WEEK LONG VACATION WITH A BIG FAMILY. NEEDS A LITTLE WORK, BUT STILL OVERALL A GREAT PLACE TO VACATION. GREAT NEIGHBORS ALSO!
8.0 / 10.0
Had a great time there. It was large enough to accommodate all my family.
The good: it is worth the money to rent. The neighbors are incredibly awesome. Lots of dishes and silverware. Plenty of towells. Great location.
The bad: not enough dish rags. Lights not working. Missing light shades. Had a hard time getting keys out of lockboxes. Would've been nice to know ahead of time about the beach and pool being closed. Patio doors hatd to open and close.
With everything going on, with the few things wrong, i would gladly rent again.

go for the 531
we had both sides for a week, the 521 side is very old furniture and needs to be replace, so is the rug upstairs, a three out of five is generous
the 531 side is more updated and would probably give it a 4.5 out of 5
