About this cabin rental
Amy's Mink is a great opportunity to disconnect from life's fast pace and reconnect with yourself and your family. It's right on the lake, with a private boat ramp and a short pier for your use. The cabin's a rustic place, nothing fancy, built out of a picnic shelter by my great-grandfather and brought up-to-date by my uncle. Our wish is to keep this place special and unique and to share our family vacation home with yours. We love the easygoing nature the cabin brings out in us, and we hope you do, too!
The cabin is a nice balance of new and old. Our family enjoys the stereo while cooking or playing board games and cards. The kids fish off the pier and roast marshmallows in the bonfire pit. There's access to WiFi and a Smart TV for your convenience, but we encourage our guests to spend time in the lake, reading, or relaxing in a way that is much easier to do when we're disconnected.
The cabin consists of a large common space (one pull-out couch with a queen mattress), two bedrooms (one with double bed, one with queen bed), bathroom, and kitchen. There is an outdoor shower and a large deck with a picnic table and gas grill. The pier is nice to watch the sunset or read, but only in the summer is the water really high enough to tie your boat. The water level drops in the winter and makes the pier inaccessible by boat. People have told me they still use the boat ramp and just return their boat to their trailer during this time.
The cabin is perfect for the summer but can be chilly in the winter, as the floors are concrete. For AC, there are units in each room and a large unit in the common space. For heating, there are electric space heaters in each of the bedrooms and bathroom. You can set them as you see fit.
Entrance to the cabin is on the lake side. There is a Smart lock on the door for easy entrance. Renters get their own personal code, which is given upon booking. Self check-in makes it easy for you to arrive at your leisure. There is a motion light on the side of the cabin that will light up if you arrive after dark.
Guests have access to almost everything, including the boat ramp. The only areas off-limits are the sheds in the backyard and the small attic space above the kitchen. Nobody lives on-site, so you have the property to yourself and are asked to take good care of the space. If you notice anything -- downed tree, shower leak, etc. -- please let me know me immediately so it can be taken care of.
The cabin is about a 25-30 minutes' drive from Greenwood and Clinton, which is far enough away to where you can really experience the peacefulness of the lake but close enough to make a trip to pick up groceries and other necessities.

Cozy cabin on water.

We stayed for three nights in the off season. The lake was low and we were able to walk out around the pier to go fishing. We had no problems catching and cleaning fish. We also cooked all meals in the well-equipped kitchen.
There is a mini-split AC/heat-pump that keeps the place plenty warm. The neighborhood was very quiet. Also, the toilet bowl is large and comfortable.
I will book again.

We stayed at the cabin for 3 nights, and there was so much that I loved about it. It was me, my husband, and our 3-year-old German shepherd. The location was perfect--just steps from the water and the property has its own small boat ramp and dock which was great since we brought our boat.
It's very rustic and peaceful. We spent so much time out on the porch facing the water. Every single meal--breakfast through dinner--we ate on the porch. There are rockers which were perfect for the one day when it rained most of the time. We still got to be outside and enjoy the scenery because of the shelter of the porch.
Before our trip was over, I had already messaged Ramy to see if we could stay longer. Since it was Labor Day weekend we couldn't, but we already booked a week for next April to go back.
It's not fancy, but it was just what we were looking for. Pet-friendly, lakefront, peaceful, full kitchen, and reasonably priced.

The cabin is clean and cozy. The area is quiet and beautiful. The lake is clean and mostly sand and smooth rocks on the bottom so you dont sink into mud or anything. The sunsets are great and the bugs werent bad at all for mid july. Everything we needed to cook and grill was there. Theres a decent mexican restaurant 7 miles away or so for one night we didnt feel like cooking. Great experience overall!

Great place for some Rest and Relaxation. If you like catfishing this place is excellent for you. We caught brim and catfish. Our 2 dogs enjoyed the outdoors too. Seen wildlife such but not limited to a Great Blue Heron, chipmunk, etc.
Restaurants are not far at all for an evening out. Mayberry was a great casual place for a meal and Skippers was awesome too.
Guaranteed we plan on going again.

Just OK
There were no linens, towels or hand clothes after asking for the linens to be provided. The air conditioning unit was barely adequate. The lake access was nice overall I would not recommend

Nice Water View
The property has a wonderful view of Lake Greenwood. I wish the cabin had been cleaned before our arrival. There were a pile of chocolate candy wrappers on the bedside table and chunks of Dorito chips on the floor along with basic dirt. The barstool seats were mostly covered with stains in the kitchen. The carpet pieces on the concrete floor were also showing a great deal of staining. The sink, shower, and toilet, however, were clean. Cleaning the cabin would have helped except for the small dog tethered in the yard next door who barked, whined, and howled continuously for two days and nights. We left early and did not complete our stay. This property has the potential to be a great rental. Some cleaning, a new coat of paint on the concrete floor, and some new carpet sections would help the property tremendously. I have no idea about what can be done about the dog next door. But sitting outside while trying to enjoy the lake view became impossible without headphones. It is a shame that such a lovely view was not allowed to shine. Best wishes in trying to clean up the property.

Very unpleasant
Cabin was not clean, very dark with neighbors very close both sides. Dog was tied to a tree right outside and barked continuously day and night. Would have left soon after we arrived but could not find another place.

Great location and very clean and nice
Very clean and was a nice location. The only drawback was the neighbors had small dogs that came over in the yard and another one that barked a lot . It would be nice to have a fence on that side also .
