THE PROPERTY
Le Mas du Real Laugier rests on a small promontory — an easy 1.5 km walk to the village. During the 19th Century, our home was part of the “Train des Pignes” railway system. The street address is still the “Chemin du Train des Pignes Ouest,” indicating these fascinating origins.
“Mas” means Provençal farmhouse or country house, and that suits this gracious and generous 2,400-sq. ft. stone house on three levels, built in 1830.
The rez-de-jardin (garden floor) features a bedroom with double bed, bath with walk-in shower and separate toilet, along with the laundry room.
The rez-de-chaussée (ground floor) includes the kitchen, living area, fireplace and a dining area. Also on this floor is the spacious, high-ceilinged master bedroom with king bed, traditional stone walls and en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower and separate toilet. French doors open to the front garden from the bedroom and the dining area.
The premier étage (2nd floor) offers two bedrooms and a roomy landing, which holds a desk and an antique iron daybed. The first bright-and-airy bedroom has two twin beds and a view of the gardens and pool area below. The second bedroom has a double bed, a view to the east and the Real Laugier. The large full bath, with toilet, tub and shower wand, features hand-made ceramic tile from the village of Salernes.
Two large outdoor tables each seat 8-10. There's a BBQ and outdoor prep area. A short stone walkway leads to the glorious pool and pool house.
By car, we are about an hour from St. Tropez, an hour and 15 minutes from Nice and 90 minutes from Marseilles. It is only a 20-minute drive from Lorgues to the Gare Les Arcs-Draguignan, where you can catch the TGV express train to Paris.

ABOUT LORGUES
Welcome to the perfect jumping-off point for your adventures in Provence. "This is the Provençal heartland of old villages in summer dress, of huge blue skies, herb aromas and old chaps playing boules late into the evening," said an admiring travel writer of Lorgues.
Colorful houses line its narrow, winding streets, where you'll encounter ancient stairways, stone carvings and 12th-century towers, along with centuries-old plane trees. You'll also find lively cafes, bars and shops and a bustling farmer's market.

We had an amazing stay in Lorgues at Linda’s beautiful home. The house has so many lovely touches and the grounds are spectacular!! Hope to be back!

We stayed in the property as it was near a wedding. Very nice stay in a lovely villa with a large garden and wonderful pool. 5 mins by car from Lourgues or a 20 min walk.

The house is old and wonderful, the setting established and authentic.
We loved every day that we were there and we plan to visit again next year… it was so fabulous.
The property is 5 mins from town - 10 to the supermarket, Lorgues itself is a lovely little French town with bars and restaurants to visit and enjoy.
We stayed for a month with different people coming to stay with us during that time - friends, family, friends of our daughter… everyone had a fantastic time and said so.
The accommodation of the house allows different groups of people to be together whilst allowing them space. There is a studio room with bathroom downstairs which allows a separation from the rest of the house and the master suite is to the side of the dining room meaning that I could go to bed when teenagers were still doing their thing.
The furnishings and fittings of the house are exemplary- if I had a house in Provence then I’d want it to be this house.
And finally Linda and Phillippa - the comms before we arrived made us feel like we were getting directions to see an old friend and once there we were looked after like royalty.
If you’re looking for an amazing holiday in Provence - in a quiet and tranquil spot but close enough that you can jump in the car for a change of pace - book it (but don’t steal my dates)

From the first sighting of Le Mas on Vrbo through booking, communication to our stay itself everything about this holiday has been simple but delightful!
The description and photos show the property exactly as it is - a beautiful family retreat with ample room inside and out for all - plenty of areas to be together, eating, sitting or in the pool but also space for peace, quiet and a moment of solitary relaxation. The pool area with pool house is perfect as is the outdoor cooking area.
Le Mas is also in a great location, set in the beautiful Provençal region. Lorgues again has something for everyone - plenty of places to eat whether you want burger, or something FAR more special. Great, happy relaxed atmosphere to the town which also has an amazing market, supermarkets/petrol for everyday shopping and history to boot.
As hosts, Linda and Gianluca were brilliant and provided dining and day-out recommendations that ensured we enjoyed our holiday to the full - day trips out admiring the amazing Provence, experiencing a little of the culture, coast and gastronomy.
Could not have hoped for anything more and wholeheartedly recommend!

The traditional Provençal farmhouse was a lovely base for our family holiday with our son, his wife and two young grandchildren. The pool with lovely pool house was brilliant for the children and for us to relax out of the very warm sun.

Splendour in Lorgues
This is a beautiful and meticulously well-maintained home with lovely grounds. The outdoor pool and cabana were fabulous as were the outdoor tables for dining amongst flowers. Lovely interior with plenty of room, a terrific kitchen and comfortable seating.
Linda is a terrific and very helpful host with great suggestions for restautants and nearby towns and villages to visit.

So Relaxing
A lovely place to disconnect and recharge. Great day trip advice in a booklet from the owners and plenty of room to spread out on the property and in the house. Some cleanliness areas to improve upon, and we’ve shared that with the owners. Glad we visited.

Great stay in a beautiful location. Highly recommended
We stayed there for one week. A beautiful house with everything you need. Lorgues is a beautiful little town too, recommend the nocturne market on a Wednesday night and you can do karaoke on the high street.

Fabulous!
This really is a fabulous property and so well maintained. The photographs are accurate but don't do it justice in our opinion. Everything was spotless and fresh, there was a lovely welcome pack and message from the owners and a few essentials in the fridge. There were also plenty of other kitchen and bathroom items such as cling film, foil, tea bags, coffee, oils, spices, dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll, toilet roll and washing machine detergent. It's so nice to find these things readily available. The house is well laid out inside and out with plenty of places to sit, relax, eat and shade yourself from the sun. It's obvious that Linda and Gianluca take great pride in their beautiful home and this is reflected in the furnishings, bedding, furniture and garden. It's fair to say that they have thought of everything, even supplying note pads, business cards, postcards and pencils for guest use. We were two families of four with children ranging from sixteen to eight and we all enjoyed the space the house has to offer. The pool house is an absolute marvel and definitely the Mum's favourite! It has a toilet, shower room, full sized fridge (Which was handy for extra food and drink), a sink and comfortable furniture with pretty pillows. It was extremely hot the first week of our stay but the pool was refreshing, being neither too warm or cold at any point. Any questions or issues (Of which there were none) were answered promptly by Julien and his wife Caroline who were managing the property whilst we were there. Nothing was too much trouble. There is an impressive selection of bicycles available for those who want to use them, complete with locks and a pump. My husband and I walked into town on the first Sunday to enjoy a coffee and a beer at one of the many cafe's. It's approximately a mile and a half's walk but pleasant. The market on a Tuesday is vast and extremely busy by 10am so arrive early, especially if you want to park your car. All manner of items can be bought and the fresh fruit, veg, meat and cheese stalls are impressive. In our opinion a car is essential and we used ours frequently for supermarket trips and days out. You don't have to travel far to see some impressive sites and pretty villages and there's plenty of information at the house to help you plan a trip. All in all we had an amazing holiday. Thank you again Gianluca and Linda for everything, we couldn't have asked for more and we hope to return again to your beautiful home.

Dear Linda and Gianluca,
we had the pleasure of staying at "Le Mans du Real Laugier" from 10.-20.07.2019 and we can say that we had the best holiday ever. Not only did we fall in love with Lorgues and " la belle Provence" but were completly and utterly charmed by your beautiful and luxurious house, the fantastic style and all the loving little details it provided. All the rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, outdoor areas including the spacious pool and pretty poolhouse provided everything you could wish for. Upon arrival we found ab lovely personal note, welcoming gift and a well equipped kitchen full of everything we needed for a first Provencale style dinner. The housekeeping couple Julien and Carolin have been very helpful and were able to answer all questions in perfect english.
All in all thumbs up for a great holiday! We would always come back and can definitely recommend it.

what a lovely property!
This lovely old Mas on the amazing Chemin de Train de Pigne was a great spot for our family gathering in the south of France.
The owner has provided such wonderful outdoor spaces to be together. The portico near the pool was our favorite shaded afternoon spot to talk while the kids played ping pong. We drank rose and discussed plans for cooking dinner on the barbecue or chosing a nearby restaurant in the many small towns of the area.
The Lorgues area is filled with so many small towns to visit and the beaches of the Mediterranean are an hour away. But the property was so inviting and the weather so ideal we tended to spend the afternoon lazing by the pool, playing bridge or games and just being together.
The house is decorated in a charming and caring fashion that we appreciated a great deal. It is comfortable and naturally cool in the summer. We found the kitchen, while well supplied, was a bit too small to do a great deal of cooking, but hey, a great reason to cook outdoors or go out to eat. And of course the boulangeries and restaurants of Lorgues are 5 minutes away.
The owner was so helpful and responsive to our needs. I felt like Linda had become a friend and was truly anxious to make our stay perfect. We were lucky to have found a spot that suited us so well. It was quite a magic time. Thanks, Linda for all your TLC

It was two weeks of heaven!
This was the second time that I had the pleasure of staying at the delightful Le Mas du Real Laugier. I am from the U.S. and find this area of Provence to be enchanting. The charm and warmth of the residents in Lorgues and the structures dating from the Middle Ages are worth getting to know as nothing like it exists in the States. Similarly, the Warren-Greco home is authentic and absolutely wonderful. I love the expansive grounds enhanced by the old growth olive and cypress trees; there is no doubt that you are in the heart of Provence while staying there. We particularly enjoyed the fire pit seating; it became a ritual to share pain au chocolate and cafe creme to start the morning. After swimming or scouting around the countryside (easy access to so many interesting restaurants and places) the adorable pool house provides a setting to escape the heat and share conversation of the day over wine, cheese, bread and sausage. Each room is well appointed; quite obvious that much thought has been given to comfort and appearance. The bath tub on the second floor is luxurious too; another favorite spot! We had several people visiting (it sleeps plenty) and there are so many places to gather for a large group meal or intimate conversation. Be sure to take notice of the custom postcards and details created especially for the guests. Clearly you are valued by the owners; they have made great efforts to welcome travelers into their captivating home.

Beautiful place to stay and relax
10 days with all our family, including 18 month old grandson. A beautiful space to get together with our loved ones. An enchanting home with lots of space so we weren’t tripping over ourselves and beautiful eating areas we could sit at for hours in the evening just chatting and relaxing. Well fitted out bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms and well equipped kitchen too. The gardens are stunning and the pool area is just perfect to relax around. The Mas was a great base for both coast and mountains so for us it was a perfect spot, not that we did too much sightseeing as we couldn’t tear ourselves away from the pool most days. Beautiful markets in Lorgues to stock up on essentials. Tourtour is worth a visit even if you just take in the breathtaking views Overall it was a lovely holiday with beautiful weather and the house was perfect. Thank you Linda for everything x

Beautiful pool area however ...
Our expectations were raised due to the high number of 5 star reviews. The house certainly had plenty of character with some individual decorative touches. However, on a practical level this house is not particularly suited to a family with young children. The bedrooms are on different floors and in different parts of the house and very sound proof. The romantically named ‘garden floor’ is more like a basement, my youngest refused to go down there! The ensuite shower down on this floor had tiles falling off the wall. The shower room and toilet off the main bedroom could also do with some updating. The kitchen was very well equipped but lacking in work space. The outside areas were lovely and well maintained with lots of seating and a good BBQ. The pool area was particularly nice but the pool not heated at the time we went even though we asked for this to be confirmed before booking. Apparently it is not heated if the outside temperature is over 26 degrees so check if this is important to you. The area felt very peaceful on the whole but there is a campsite/caravan site (I think that’s what it was!) out the back of the property and music was played very loudly on several occasions.
Lorgues and the surrounding area is beautiful, we will definitely return to the area.

Fantastic, authentic French farmhouse!
Whilst slightly secluded, we loved our family stay here. Close to town (with excellent markets on a Tuesday) it was relaxing whilst still having enough to do. Awesome stay!

Gorgeous & peaceful, it will restore your spirit
Le Mas du Real Laugier is so beautiful -- it looks just like its photos! --from its shimmering pool and towering trees to its thoughtfully furnished interiors. I loved that the house gave us so many ways to either gather together or to be alone. There are multiple outdoor dining possibilities, for many of us or just a few. Mornings I had my first café au lait at the charming table for two on the front porch. Then I'd retire to the swing chair for some serious contemplation.
The property is beautifully maintained -- the owners clearly care about the details. And it's so quiet! You feel away from it all, but you're really only a few minutes from Lorgues. We loved Old Town and the Tuesday Market, then going back the next day to sample all the shops and restaurants. (Be sure to try Chez Flo and Le Chris Sandier.) Lorgues is a perfect jumping off point to explore other villages and local wineries. For us, a highlight was the sculpture park at Commanderie de Peyarossol. But, really, you may not want to leave home base. Grab a ping-pong paddle and hang out by the pool. Thank you, Linda and Gianluca, for being such wonderful, responsive hosts. À la prochaine. Until next time!

A little bit of paradise
Our party consisted of family members, 8 of us in all, from my 91 year old mum to my 1 year old grandson. My daughter was to be a bridesmaid for a friend at the local chateau and as none of us visited the south of France before, it seemed an ideal opportunity to have a family holiday.
I chose La Mas because it looked so beautiful, was the right size for us, has a swimming pool and is near the wedding venue. It was a well considered decision and I got it very right. The house is perfect. It is well furnished, comfortable and has everything you need for an easy and welcoming stay. Everyone was happy with their room and I loved the kitchen, it was so french. The gardens are lovely and there are many areas to sit and while the time away in the sun. I love to swim and the pool was there invitingly every day. The pool house is a real bonus as there is useful shelter there for babies and grandmas so that they can stay with the action but be protected from the very hot sun. In the evenings we sat on the porch, drank wine, played cards or just talked into the night. The dining table is huge and accommodated all of us. My teenage grandson appreciated the wi-fi.
We didn't spend much time visiting local attractions and I would love to return to this area to do just that some time in the future. Our week flew by and we are back in rainy England now, but the real treat of staying in such a lovely place will stay with me for a long time.
The area is lovely, the house and grounds are lovely and my correspondence with the owner has been a real pleasure. There is a lovely manager in France who is on call in case she is needed and there is a real element of care and attention to detail with this property. I would recommend it to anyone who would appreciate it and take good care of it.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful
One can hardly ask for more than Le Mas du Real Logier offers. If you are looking for a serene spot as a personal retreat; if you are looking for a lively spot for a family reunion or an office gathering; if you are looking for a charming spot for a destination wedding - inside & out, this property is perfect! It is flexible enough to accommodate all of these adventures & more! If you fancy an easy walk or bicycle ride, the handsome ancient town of Lorgues is just over a kilometer away. It offers amazing sights around every corner. Lorgues hosts fabulous street markets that will fulfill all your shopping dreams! While in the village, I suggest trying any/all of the local Var Rose wines the region is famous for. Lorgues is centrally located in Provence, therefore day trips to Nice, Cannes, St Tropez, Draguignan, Aix-en-Provence, Marseille (to name a few) are easily achieved by car or train. Le Mas du Real Logier is tailor-made for your next sojourn to France - I can't recommend it enough!!!

A magical week in Provence
A stay at Le Mas du Real Logier conjures visions of storybook Provence. This was my first visit to the south of France and the experience surpassed my imagination. The buildings and businesses in the town of Lorgues are untouched by time, yet the shopping, street market, cafes and amenities are plentiful and unique. One gets the impression that the villagers love their community and readily welcome visitors to share their world.
The location of this vacation home is perfect; close to town for that all important purchase of fresh morning pastry yet secluded and quiet enough in it’s country setting to relax and decompress. There are easy and plentiful excursions by car or train to the coast, wineries or diverse nearby communities. At Le Mas itself, the grounds are gorgeous! Unlike many surrounding villas, there is old growth landscaping that has been perfectly maintained with so many nooks to discover. Families can enjoy gathering at two large outdoor dining areas or the lovely pool with shaded pool house. The charming patio, outdoor fire pit or time in the perfectly placed hammock enhance a carefree solitary mood. Beautiful, quality linens and interior touches throughout the home are authentic French cottage and augment the overall fantasy of the perfect Provence holiday. Thank you so much Linda and Gianluca; your attention to detail made my stay absolutely magical.

The Epitome of Living in Provence
This is one of the first vacations that I have had in a long time where I truly felt "on vacation". This 100 year old "Mas" is a beauty in herself; exactly as I would picture the perfect Provencal house. There is such a sense of owner pride and special touches everywhere. So thoughtfully appointed and comfort galore! Mornings were spent sipping espresso and eating perfect "pain au chocolat"; lunch might be sitting in the pool house with cheese, baguette, charcuterie and the lovely Rose wine of the region. Evenings were spent in the village of Lorgues in one of the great cafes or at the Bistro at Chateau Berne, a vineyard 10 minutes away. The Tuesday "marche" in Lorgues was fantastic. Visiting other picturesque villages, very close by, is a must. Just over an hour's drive from the Nice Airport, the location could not have been better. I have barely been back but can't wait to go again. Everything about this home and the area is outstanding. Thank you Linda and Gianluca!!!

Dream Vacation Get Away
We spent ten magnificent days at this absolutely gorgeous Provencal home. We were a group of four ladies looking forward to exploring beautiful Provence and relaxing at the same time. The property is immense with a large pool and lovely entertainment and dining areas tucked away in idyllic spots outside. We immediately felt at home in this spectacular house with everything we could have wanted or needed. There is a wonderful, warm feel to the house and you sense that many happy memories have been created there. We swam, BBQd, read, relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed day trips to the surrounding vineyards, restaurants and towns. Special times were spent in the adorable pool house with scrumptious afternoon appetizers and a beverage. The town of Lorgues is 5 minutes away and the Tuesday market is a must where we found everything from cheese, bread, vegetables, flowers, shoes and local artisan gifts. The vendors and townspeople are very friendly and welcoming. A short drive took us to the ferry at Ste Maxime for the trip over to beautiful St. Tropez where we had a relaxing lunch and people watched. All in all this was one of the most amazing vacations I have ever experienced and we would love to make it a yearly trip!!

Amazing property in a quiet location near Lorgues
We spent a fantastic week in this beautiful home in Lorgues. Our group comprised 6 adults and a toddler and the size and layout of the house and grounds meant we could all spend time together or have our own space.
There is plenty of outside space to relax (or explore if you are 2...), including the large pool and pool house, to the built in BBQ area with a dining table that easily sat us all.
Inside was spacious and cool even in the heat of August. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed during our stay.
I would definitely recommend this home to anyone wanting to explore Provence, whether a family or group of friends (or as in our case, both) it is a beautiful place to stay!

Amazing Place
Here is where all your troubles will float away on a rosemary and thyme scented breeze under the azure sky. Clearly the owners have lived here and thought about every detail to create the perfect holiday. Everything you could think of is provided in the right place. We have regularly returned to this area over the past 35 years and this is the best place we have ever stayed. The location is great with a well stocked supermarket just a 5 minute drive from the house. It took me about 20 minutes to walk into Lorgues and I only did it a couple of times. The car was preferable and parking is easy in the village which has great restaurants and shops and doesn’t overplay to the tourists. The market on Saturday morning is one of the best in the area with ready made food such as paella, pasta dishes, daube and the ubiquitously delicious poulet roti. On the whole we found it very difficult to leave the house and garden. The garden is huge and fabulous and the pool is a really good size, you cannot see the neighbours through the clumps of lovely pine trees. Both house and garden are very well maintained as is the lovely pool with fabulous pool house including shower, fridge and sink. There is a wonderful built in BBQ on the terrace above the pool with own sink with running water next to it and lots of different sitting out and eating areas: you can catch the sun or the shade whatever time of day or night. There lights all over the garden. The house comprises three bedrooms and a room with a sofa bed. Two of the rooms are really quite big and posh and so it would be a perfect place for 2 couples. The other double ensuite rooming the cellar is not as well decorated but it is beautifully cool, accessed by a flight of steps down from within the house and has a degree of independence - great for our eldest offspring and partner. The rest of the house is light and airy with bedrooms well separated so everyone can spread out. There are mosquito screens on the bedroom windows which were very much needed. The housekeeper, Linda was very helpful at all times and as we arrived late, provided us with some much welcome food. It was our 25th wedding anniversary and the owners kindly left us a lovely card and bottle of champagne. a nice touch that dissipated the memory of an arduous journey. I would certainly rebook if it is available when we inevitably return to this wonderful region. I would absolutely not hesitate to recommend it to a friend.

A comfortable family home in a lovely part of France
Thank you, Linda and Gianluca, for lending us your home. We all had a wonderful time. The house was home away from home and the pool and pool house were a big plus for all of us. Linda Madini took great care of us and was instantly available to answer any questions and address any small problems we had. We couldn't ask for a better vacation.
