There are 3 bedrooms on the main floor and 1 full bath and a 1/2 bath as well. These rooms all have queen beds in them and give our guests who don't want to climb stairs the option of not having to while still being able to access the great rooms.
Upstairs there are 2 huge master bedrooms that each have king beds, sitting areas, bathrooms with jacuzzi tubs, and walkout balcony decks with gorgeous views. There is also the bunk room with 2 sets of bunk beds and also a loft area with a very comfy futon and Thomas the Tank Engine track set for the younger train enthusiasts. The lodge has over 2,500 sq. ft. of decks and porches so no matter what time of day it is you can find some shade or sun to relax in a rocker or chair. The back screened in porch is awesome to enjoy birdwatching or listening to the sounds of nature. The enclosed porch has the foosball table and sauna and outdoor game equipment and the 3 balcony decks are great for a morning cup of coffee to start your day. The large side deck has incredible views year round as you can see to the end of the cove.
The back patio has the hot tub and leads to the 36 ft inground pool that is exclusively for your use. The pool is the place to be for all ages either wearing out the young ones or relaxing for the older ones. Also in the back is the fire pit and outdoor fireplace which provide endless hours of memories while relaxing and roasting marshmallows.
There are 3 acres of front yard space for kids to roam and play games as well as the woods to explore. Take a mile hike on the property that goes through the woods and across the lower pasture to Chickamauga Creek which is on the property. The creek is 30 feet wide and usually is only a few feet deep. The kids love to play in the creek and look for animals and their footprints. Also, searching for arrowheads is a popular endeavor around the creek as well.
The Lodge of McLemore's Cove is a custom built 6,000 square foot log home that has many unique features that will make your stay memorable. The 28 ft. cathedral ceilings and the massive 10 foot front doors are a glimpse into what is in store for our guests. Gorgeous mountain views in all directions and unheard of privacy make this a place that seems to have been untouched by time. The Lodge sits atop a ridge with Lookout Mountain 2 miles to the west and Pigeon Mountain 2 miles to the east and the end of the McLemore's Cove 5 miles to the south. The early risers can watch the sun peek over Pigeon Mountain and everyone can watch the beautiful sunsets over Lookout Mountain. And the best is yet to come as once the sun sets the spectacular night sky puts on a show that is breathtaking. If you love nature's beauty then you will be at home here and if you enjoy real log homes this is the place for you. If you want the big city and parking lots then you may have a change of heart after your visit. Whatever your preferences we will welcome you to a beautiful log home that is in a gorgeous setting.

We had our family there. Grandparents down to great grandchildren. It was a wonderful place to stay. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub and the big yard. We played volleyball and through frisbee. Had a wonderful time. The host were exceptionally attentive. Great trip. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy many of the things we didn’t have time for

I can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was. John, the property manager was always available to answer questions and help with any issues we had. The house is amazing with 2 kitchens. The view from the front porch with plenty of Adirondack chairs to sit and watch the storm was such a bonus. The pool was clean and pleasantly refreshing. The outdoor fireplace was so beautiful that we had to use it at least once even though it was hot out. John went above and beyond at check out time when I had low air in one of my tires. He came with an air compressor for me. He also jump started my friend's car whose battery died. I highly recommend this place.

The property was better than advertise. The owner took good care of us and everything was better than advertised. This is a perfect to get away for a large group.

We were so impressed with this wonderful lodge and all the fun activities available. Our grandchildren loved being there and hated to leave. There is lots of room in the kitchen and den and the deck surrounding most of the lodge was super nice, allowing us to view the mountains, stars and moon. The pool and hot tub were big hits for the grandkids as well. Jon was especially nice and helpful in explaining all we needed to know. We highly recommend this excellent lodge!!!

We had an amazing time at this beautiful home. We had 20 family members staying and had more than enough room. The property is just as beautiful as the house. It was so calm and relaxing. Jon was such a gracious host. He checked in on us and made sure we were always taken care of. We will certainly be going back

Could not have been more happy with the property. It was perfect for our group of 12 people. We golfed at McLemore and it was an ideal location for that.
100% would stay again. Jon was a pleasure to work with.

Our team stayed here. Jon the host was very responsive and house fit our needs well. Be aware there are a few rooms with windows or doors that don't have fixed walls between spaces, so sometimes caused for them to have difficulty going to bed before the rest of the group (due to hearing the common spaces). Our group loved it, and would gladly go back and stay!

This place was very special and I’m grateful to have found it for a short family celebration. I would have loved to stay longer. There was plenty of room for us to convene, cook, rock on the porch. The owner/proprieter John was very helpful before and during our stay. I highly recommend this place. It’s worth the money!

Beautiful and spacious property. Very peaceful. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because we could not use the tower room. You have to be agile to climb the ladder. Mr. John did offer another place on the property but we all wanted to be under the same roof and it was spacious enough to enjoy the couch. We will definitely be back!!!

Had a great stay here Labor Day for a family reunion. Beautiful property; everyone, esp kids loved the pool and hot tub. Made several hikes to the really nice creek on the property. Also a short trip to a nearby waterfall, which was dry but still a scenic hike. Owner was very accessible and nice throughout the process.

Beautiful lodge for a larger family to enjoy the scenery with a country setting. Plenty of room for 20 people to sleep and cook meals. Kids loved the swimming pool and adults loved the hot tub. The lodge was close enough to enjoy Rock City, Lookout Mountain, Ruby Falls and other attractions around Chattanooga Tennessee.

We had 19 people staying at the main lodge, the auxiliary house, and the carriage house.
There was plenty of room for all of us. Great spaces to gather as a family for eating, chatting, etc.
Beautiful views all around and the pool was great
John (owner) was extremely attentive and communicative.
Would return!

We enjoyed our time at Jon’s place. The place was very clean, the beds comfy. We enjoyed the pool and chatting in the rockers on the front porch at night. The kitchen had a nice layout. The walk down the hill to the auxiliary house is a steep one and even those of us that play tennis everyday came in huffing a bit after walking up it. The waterfalls in the area were beautiful and so was the walk around the property to the river. Cooling off in the pool was nice and the air conditioning worked extremely well in every area of the home. We went in to Chattanooga and hit a couple breweries and had dinner at the FEED co table and tavern. They accommodated all 20 of us with good service and food. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

We were a party of 16 from infants to grandparents, plus day guests for a family cookout that numbered 40+. There was MORE than enough space for all of us; even if it had rained on our cookout we’d have had plenty of room inside. We swam in the pool, relaxed in the hot tub, played volleyball and kickball, and took a little hike to a nearby waterfall. It was a wonderful week!

Drive to the property as well as the property was beautiful! The swimming pool was a big hit and I really appreciated the fact that there was plenty of seating on the deck, indoors, and out by the pool.

We decided on staying at McClemore Cove Lodge for our 2023 Church Retreat, and I'm so happy that we did. The lodge along with the auxiliary house was perfect for what we needed. Everything was just as advertised. The property is secluded enough to enjoy a peaceful atmosphere, yet only a short 14 minutes drive to retail/ grocery stores. The lodge had plenty of room, and was very clean and well stocked. Jon was very helpful. He walked us through the cabin, showing us where everything was and he came by daily to collect the garbage and to make sure we were good. We are planning to stay again for our 2024 church retreat. I highly recommend! Great place with awesome mountain views. Everyone enjoyed it!

We met up with family here for Christmas. Though it was very cold outside, we were warm and cozy in this cabin. It was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Jon, the host, was thoughtful and so helpful throughout. Once it warmed up a little, we walked along the beautiful stream on property and also went to see the nearby waterfall. This property provided the perfect getaway!

We had 9 adults and 10 children (ages 3-12) staying here. We all had plenty of room and the views were amazing. The kids loved the pool and the arcade game. The path to the creek was mowed and well marked. We all had a great time!

I can’t say enough good about our stay this past weekend! We brought a group of 25 young adults from our church for our annual fall retreat. Jon met us at the property when we arrived and gave us a tour of the property which included both the lodge and the auxiliary house. Everything was perfectly clean, well stocked and roomy for this entire group! The views and outdoor space were spectacular! Jon was an excellent host!! We had a wonderful weekend and made lasting memories! Thank you, Jon for your hospitality!

Had an absolute blast. Went up for a friends golf trip to McLemore (which is the nicest course I’ve ever played btw) and found this gem. Big enough for us all to have our own rooms. Pool was nice to take a dip in after summer golf. Hot tub was a great night cap. The space is huge and very open, but didn’t feel overwhelming. Absolutely recommend for big groups.

This is an awesome property! The setting is amazing - big property to wander on, with woods and creek to explore; a great pool that is well cared for; huge balconies with dining tables and rocking chairs for the sunsets. The house is awesome, spacious, and full of character. We loved having the extra kitchen for baking!

Outdoor Beauty & Spacious Accomodations
We truly enjoyed staying at this lodge/cabin. Our group of 12 had plenty of room and places to sleep. We loved the pool, hot tub, creek and exploring the property. We even picked wild blackberries. We enjoyed the beauty of nature and it was only a 30 minute drive to Chattanooga where there was so much to do and see.

The peace of the country, minutes from the city.
This property was everything we were looking for and lots more we didn’t know to look for. It was at the top end of our price range, but (in hindsight) one of the best invests we have ever made in our family.
