About this villa rental
Thank you for your interest in my Villa . I am a Premier VRBO Host and as of July 24. 2022 this Villa has received 53 consecutive 5 of 5 STAR Guest Reviews going back to 2016. Why chance staying someplace else? The Moorings property is by far the best rental buy on Hilton Head. You will not find a less expensive rental property in a major resort development like Palmetto Dunes that is this close to the ocean. Keyless entry so not check in required. Our two bedroom, three bath townhouse is 95 yards to the beach, and overlooks the on site pool. The short distance to the beach enables you to come and go to the beach for soft drinks, snacks, meals, etc. The rental property is part of a small complex of townhouses that are located behind a guarded security gate. We've renovated the kitchen with tiled floor, Granite counter tops and tiled backdrop, Wood flooring living room and bedrooms, crown molding, 3 re-furbished bathrooms with marble tops and regularly freshly painted Villa. The Villa is maintained very clean, fully furnished including three TVs, cable, DVD and VCR. Two central air conditioner systems which are professionally inspected annually twice a year (spring and fall) for preventative maintenance . The property is maintained by our private staff and extremely detailed minded cleaning crew whose owner inspects the Villa after there completion of cleaning . A recent guest emailed upon arrival to say 'Perfect' and ''can I buy it'? You'll love it too!

Tennis/Pickleball - : You receive Two hours free daily and Discounts on lessons and other Tennis activities with this rental. You can walk to the courts in three minutes. They are rated the #3 Tennis Resort in the world. . They have daily lessons on shots of the day with both private and group lessons available for all ages. 19 clay courts 4 lighted for night play and 32 Pickleball courts, all which are lighted for evening/night players.They have had a Professional Pickeleball Tournament held on the World Class Courts held in the fall of 2021.
Services and value : You will find me to provide timely and honest responses to your questions. We are 90 seconds to the Ocean and the Villa is always in wonderful shape. You will not find a location so convenient to the Ocean, Tennis, Golf and a swimming pool with Restaurants and jogging/biking trail near by. Free Dunes Buggy shuttle to area locations. Most everyone who rents the Villa will always try to return because its that good a value. Why stay further away from the Ocean and drive to the Dunes Beach House parking area when you'll be staying closer than you will park?
And added in the living room is a 51 inch Samsung full HD 1080p TV with wide color enhancer 2 Wall hung. Also new with this TV is a SAMSUNG HD Video, BLU-RAY Disc/DVD Player with full HD 1080P and 24P True Cinema. Also the Master Bedroom has a large 42 inch TV with a BLU-RAY/DVD player Also, Cable TV throughout the Villa, (three TV's) and Spectrum HD on the living room TV. Second bedroom has a large screen TV with Spectrum cable box as well.

Running/Biking/Walking Trails and water fun.: Within seconds of this Villa, is a Running/Biking/Walking trail that winds thru the Resort and connects to a long trail which takes you out adjacent to Highway 278. Island guests can enjoy over 45 miles of public pathways and nature trails. Bicycle rental discounts are available through my Villa rental. The white sandy beaches have hard packed sand that makes navigating a bike a breeze. Other interests may be kayaking, canoeing, sail boat para sailing, or deep sea or party boat fishing. For a relaxing approach, you may find that dolphin cruises, kids cruises, sunset dinner cruises, sailing cruises or even Savannah gambling cruises may be more in your vacation goals.

Stay was wonderful, this condo is super close to the beach, pool and tennis courts. The owner was very communicative and very responsive to concerns. The set up of the condo is great especially a family with older children. Once you walk there is a foyer area where you can keep the beach stuff and drop shoes. You can then go in the left door that is the main area or right door that goes into the other bedroom). This way the older kids can have a truly separate space. We had a couple of issues but they were quickly resolved by the owner. The condo is a bit outdated but the beds are comfortable, A/C works well (2 zones, one for main side and one for the other bedroom.),and the fridge is very spacious and keeps everything cold. The decks overlook the pool which is nice so you can call down to your family that is already down there. Don’t need much more than that :)

Perfect location on Hilton Head Island! Easy walk to the beach, Dunes House, General Store and tennis/pickleball facilities. The condo is very comfortable and well stocked with everything you need. This was our 20th year visiting the island…and this was our favorite location! We loved the detailed instructions…especially how to operate the TVs! That can be so frustrating! We also appreciated Jim’s call to check in and make sure everything was going well. Thank you for the privilege of vacationing in your condo…we will definitely return!

Highly recommend James' place. Very accurate listing of what you get. Super convenient to beach, pool, and Dunes House. Communicated with host before visit regarding amenities - iron and ironing board, beach chairs and beach toys - they have them all and during stay - TV and remote syncing - and was responded to quickly each time. Great value for the money. Will be back.

The location of this condo is perfect. It is truly a quick walk to the beach and pool, but also within walking distance to the tennis courts and general store and to The Dunes House restaurant which is one of our favorites. The condo was well stocked and clean. The set up of the bedrooms makes it seem like you are in two separate units with a large living room and kitchen in between. This worked perfectly especially when it was nap time for our grandson. We found the condo to be well stocked with towels and kitchen supplies. Jim is a hands on property owner and works hard to make sure your stay is the best it can be. We will definitely stay here again.

My son and granddaughter Enjoyed the pickle ball courts and number of available courts. Nice short walk to beach. Didn’t like having to board our little dog so you should check if dog is allowed since some units prohibit pets.plenty of activities to keep busy. Pool was not heated so too cold to swim

We had a great time staying at the property. The 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms were perfect for our family. We also enjoyed the tennis and pickleball courts that were nearby! Jim was great at communicating with us prior to and during our stay. Would definitely stay there again!

My family just returned from a week in Jim's villa and everything about our trip was wonderful. Jim's communication with us was excellent and he was so thoughtful in making sure we had everything we needed. The location was amazing- such easy access to the beach, pool and the bike trails! The villa was cute, clean, spacious and made for a comfy 'home' for the week. We would definitely stay here again.

We will stay here again! Location amazing, super clean, and owner is extremely nice, knowledgeable about the area, and so helpful when we left things at the place after checking out. Pool was great (could see everyone from deck off living room), and it was nice having 2 hours to play pickle ball/tennis every day, super close bike ride to general store and courts, and a stone throw to beach and dunes house. Nice shaded parking space and hose to wash off chairs and boogie boards. Great washer and dryer, two decks, and 3 showers! Great keyless entry to come and go. All was perfect! 5 stars!

My family has been going to Hilton Head for years and always had a time share to stay until recently. We absolutely loved the condo we stayed at in Palmetto Dunes, within the Moorings. What an awesome location! A 1 minutes walk and you are on the beach or at the Dune House. What a joy to stay here, a balcony that overlooked the pool. And it was so nice and quiet, and so so convenient. So easy to get to and to all things we love to do, the places we love to go, like Shelter Cove and all the shops, boating, etc. And Jim made check in so easy and could not have been a more accommodating host. Highly recommend staying here, well worth it!

My husband and I have been coming to Hilton head Island for decades. We own a timeshare in shelter Cove. However, last week we gave our time share to our kids and grandchildren to use. So, we needed another place to stay. Jim was a fantastic host. Very attentive and thorough. He was great to work with! The Villa was in a perfect location. The beach was just a very short walk away. We love going to the Dune house, which was just steps away. We could ride our bikes and walk to the grocery store. The Villa was very quiet and clean. We highly recommend Jim’s villa. We would love to stay there again!

This was a wonderful property in a fabulous location. Everything we needed was in walking or biking distance. So convenient with lots to do...beach, pool, tennis, pickleball, kayaking, biking, walking, dining, and simply relaxing. We loved every minute and were most appreciative of the owner's communication with us. He was very prompt and informative in his responses. This was an A+ stay!

We love this property for the location and convenience. Walk right to the beach. Perfect directions and information from the owner. Everything we hoped for was included. We were glad to see the beach crew updated their umbrellas. The unit is so close to Shelter Cove shopping and restaurants. We were so busy never made it to the pool next to this unit. Unit is quiet and clean. A plus is the king sized bed.

Access to the beach was wonderful. The unit was clean and well stocked. There was an issue with the cleaners van on the day we were arriving but Jim stayed in contact with us and they were done and gone before we arrived. I would definitely recommend!

We love coming to Hilton Head and always stay in The Moorings, although we never seem to rent the same condo twice.
We loved the location of yours!
And despite more rain than we've ever seen and the fact that our daughter fractured her foot the first full day on the island, we still managed to have a fantastic time.

Location! location! location!! The pool of bosses the villa, and the beach is super close.. less than a min walk! The Dunes House is on the walk to the beach, we had lunch and drinks several times during our stay. Parking was close. Our check in was awesome, and no issues at all! Jim, the owner was amazing to work with and sent a detailed email a week prior to our visit. We loved everything about our stay!

81 Moorings was perfect for our family vacation. The location was the best the pool right beside the condo. Check in and out was also the best... a short walk to the General Store, a few minute walk to the beach... I loved staying at this condo and enjoying a great week at the beach..
