Places like this are priceless and it is our great joy to have our guests experience the same feelings we have every time we open the antique wood door with the stained glass strawberry window! Rustic two story Cabin plus guest "Cowboy Cabin" ! Huge rock fireplace, hardwood floors, paned windows, charming first class decor!
This has one of most authentic living rooms in Idyllwild..... full of charm and ambiance! Comfortable leather sofas to sink into and gather around the river rock fireplace. Open 'barn doors' and french doors to the deck and watch the birds and squirrels. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck watching the sun come up over the mountains.
Evening is perfect for a glass of wine with family and friends watching the sun go down over the creek. A lovely dining room has a formal table for six for family dinners.
After dinner settle in for reading, games or watching a video on the big screen flat tv.
Four bedrooms sleeps up to nine guests! Additional guests over double occupancy are $15 per person per night.
IDEAL FOR COUPLES: Large downstairs master bedroom with big wood paneled Kingsize bed, antique mirrored armoire, great looking bedding with lots of comfy pillows! Downstairs bath is done cowboy style and has a large red iron tub for relaxing baths. If it's just the two of you, you will enjoy everything being on one level!
EVEN BETTER FOR FRIENDS AND FAMILY: Upstairs there are two more bedrooms. The 'Treehouse' is a charming room with a queen bed in forest green and cream decor with sitting area and window overlooking creek.
The other 'Quilt Room' upstairs is a fabulous 'kids room' or 'family style room' with THREE twin beds, each in it's own darling alcove. This room is decorated in country blues & red with Strawberry touches! Vintage "Dick & Jane" art graces the walls. There are lots of toys to play with plus a secret closet decorated as a little living room for teddy bears! The two upstairs room share a private bathroom with great high pressure shower.
"THE COWBOY CABIN" Just outside between the house and garage, there is a separate cabin that has handcrafted open beam ceiling, and great Americana decor. This private retreat has it's own bathroom with shower, VHS tv & movies, entertainment counter with small fridge. This is a perfect place for couples that want more privacy from the main house.

Strawberry Corner is beautifully situated on the edge of Idyllwild with coffee shops and restaurants all just a short stroll away. Access to Strawberry creek was much appreciated by the children and adults as it was very hot during our stay

The house was ideal for our group of 6 meeting from various parts of the country. We spent most of our time visiting on the large deck, but also made the short walk into town for a couple of lovely dinners. The house is charming and comfortable, and was perfect for the six of us to hang out and catch up after many years of not seeing each other. Everyone loved it.

Strawberry corner is a super charming vintage cabin that is incredibly positioned for lovely sounds of Strawberry creek and easy walks to the central town of Idyllwild. The description and photos do not fully capture the charm of this property. There are numerous outdoor seating and dining areas as well as great activities - horseshoes, ping pong, darts, and even a mini zip line! Charm abounds in the cabin and the vintage feel is worth not having every modern amenity (no dish washer or shower in main floor bath). I wish we could have stayed even longer and would definitely come back!

This cabin/property was perfect! Our whole group was pleasantly surprised as it was even better in person. We had lunch in the gazabo, breakfast on the deck, yoga outside under the trees, and even a little ping pong. Its convenient location to town was such a bonus. We all wished we had at least another day! Definitely saving it to the favorites list.

We had a wonderful time staying at Strawberry Corner! I wanted a place where if it was snowing or raining we wouldn’t feel couped up in tight corners. Well - we arrive to full blown snow so we knew we would be spending a lot of time at home - and it was perfect! Two fires going, board games galore, adorable play/bed rooms upstairs, cozy nooks everywhere to snuggle and read. Then, the kids wake up to see eggs from the Easter Bunny throughout the extensive, gated garden all around! We will definitely come back! And probably bring friends with us because there is so much room (and an entire guest house we didn’t even use!)

It’s a charming cabin within easy walking distance to town. The creek near by ads a nice background sound when you’re out on the back balcony. It could use some upgrades in the kitchen and some updated glassware. An outdoor BBQ would be a huge upgrade.

We stayed here for two nights with our two children. It is the perfect location and a minute walk to town. The upstairs has 3 children’s beds and toys and was so cute! We had fun exploring outside and there is even a zip line in the yard. The property is completely enclosed, so we felt safe with our kids and dog running around outside. The owner is so nice and responded immediately when I had a few questions

The location along the creek is unbeatable. The large, sunlit, old fashioned kitchen offers a great space for gathering. The stone fireplace is amazing. Bring lots of wood! The property is beautiful and feels remote even though it is only a 5 minute walk into town. And it is very dog friendly as both the decks and the yard are completely fenced in. Lorraine is a very friendly and considerate host and communicates in a timely manner. She has created a wonderful vintage oasis. We highly recommend this property if you are someone who can appreciate the many old fashioned aspects that it holds.

Beautiful place, perfect for relaxation. Close to town, which was very nice for picking up a meal. The king bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable and the we enjoyed the fire place. Just I nicely decorated cozy cabin and we enjoyed the grounds that surrounded the cabin.

This is a 100 year old cabin full of charm and character. The location is perfect for a quick walk to town. There is a trail leading from the property down to Strawberry creek. which we discovered ripe blackberries growing right next to the creek. The grounds of this property have lawns perfect for playing games along with an apple tree full of apples. There is a beautiful gazebo which unfortunately hadn’t been cleaned in some time.
The interior of the home is full of strawberry motif’s in almost every room. However the lighting needs to be improved to be able to take it all in. Another (either charm or distraction of the home) is the very squeaky floors. So much so it will wake everyone as the first riser starts walking around in the morning. (Unless you are a very sound sleeper, there will be no sleeping in). The interior is due for a deep cleaning as most of the upholstered furniture has several stains. And the recent cleaning was lacking with several spider webs seen around windows, doors and there was even some trash left on the floors. Talking spider webs, there are four cans of bug spray under the kitchen sink and you may need them as we killed 4 spiders in the interior of the home in our 3 day stay. Also, the mattress in the Cowboy Cabin is very soft as my wife and I both sunk to the middle of the bed. Cozy, but not good for sleeping.
All in all, the location and charm make up for the lack of maintenance and cleaning of the property.

We LOVE Strawberry Corner. We really enjoyed the new grassy areas to sit and visit, and play games. We always enjoy the back porch and spend a lot of time there visiting, eating and playing games as we listen to Strawberry Creek Our grandchildren love our time there and have great memories there!

We have been coming to Idyllwild for the last 40 years and this was by far my favorite place we have stayed. I confess I love old houses and this cute cabin did not disappoint! It looks exactly as shown online and oozes country charm. If you like new and modern, this is not for you. But if you love quaint cozy spaces that remind you of days gone by this is it. It's only about a 4 min walk to the shops and restaurants, although it is uphill so I drove my parents into town. The creek was running and we enjoyed hearing it from the awesome deck off the back of the house. we also really enjoyed playing horse shoe, darts and pingpong in the evening. The cabin was very clean and comfortable, we would definitely stay there again.

We, all 8 of us, loved the house…….old but with all the comforts of home. We walked everywhere. It was so close to all the shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. If you have a non-Tesla electric car you’ll need to bring your own charger. The river was beautiful!! We would definitely stay there again!

This cabin is probably the closest to town. As we entered the open gate it conveys the sense of “welcome to your retreat”.
In the front yard you will find a mini zip-line and a horseshoe pit. Inside the two car garage there is a dart board and an easily foldable ping pong table (to make room for two cars to park).
The interior of the cabin there is reliable Wi-Fi, charging stations in the master bedroom & dining room (remember to bring your charging cords). Along with linens & towels there are a number of pillows to choose from (if you have a favorite pillow bring it with you).
The patio is in the rear of the cabin with plenty of seating facing the Strawberry Creek which is ideal to enjoy your cup of coffee, a glass of wine or a meal. There is also a generously sized hammock.
It is worth noting, Loraine Dyson is a gracious hostess and respond to your questions in a timely manner.
Returning from our relaxing weekend at Strawberry Corner we could sincerely say it exceeded our family’s expectations. Thank you!

This is a quaint cabin built in 1923 with squeaky wooden flooring and a huge fireplace. We loved our stay here which was in late march with snow. The cabin needs some plumbing work. We had to turn a valve in the water heater closet to turn the hot water on and off when needed due to the kitchen sink hot water faucet not turning off. The owner / manger was made aware of it and I am sure it has been fixed. The owner is very responsive to messages and made our stay great.
The location can’t be beat with the corner property and the stream out back. The cabin is easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. The cabin was very clean upon our arrival.
