Pricing depends on duration, dates/season, number of bedrooms rented, and day of week. What sets this property apart from the others you are looking at is the elevated and unobstructed view (we own all the way to the water); the privacy/safety yet proximity to a grocery store; access to both open ocean and protected beaches including Little Bay, the most romantic swimming beach in the Bahamas, and Winding Bay, which takes second place; grid power (no noisy smelly generator); reef snorkeling at your doorstep; dunes for RC glider folks; and the prevailing ocean breezes. We now offer (as an option) the use of a proper ocean-ready fishing kayak which even has a transponder for your fish finder!

Great place to stay

We had a great time in this beautiful house in Cherokee Sound. The location was spectacular, views amazing, home was nice and had everything we needed- except hot water, which we didn’t have for the week we stayed. Not the end of the world, but for the price, one should be able to have a hot shower at some point during the week.

We really didn’t need so many rooms, but weren’t able to find another place. It was tidy, but noticed a lot of little ant/termite looking bugs in the kitchen. Otherwise it was clean. There is no dishwasher.
I will mention that there is no drinking water so bring your own. The water available is for showering and washing but not consumption.
With this said, we enjoyed our stay. We ate at Pete’s Pub every day because there isn’t any other restaurants nearby...

We really enjoyed our stay at Fish On! It’s reallt in a remote area so if your not willing to drive places it’s not for you. We like to go so it really didn’t bother us. There is one great restaurants Pete’s Pub that’s great. We drove into Marsh Harbor most nights and ate at Jamie’s, Mangos and others. We loved Jason and his wife they helped with anything we ask for and she even cooked one night for us. Treasure Cay, long dock, and the beach that is hidden is great! Thank you for letting us stay in your home.

This beautiful house is a 35-minute drive from the airport and Marsh Harbor, requiring a car rental. Our family included children, parents, and grandparents. The house and location worked out well for the children especially with the large bunkroom and accessibility to the various beaches.
Property conditions: excellent shape, the cleanest house we have rented, well-maintained, simple style that works for families.
Kitchen: We were there for 3 weeks; we cooked more than most vacationers. There are minimal, but adequate utensils and equipment, no blender or food processor. We purchased some plastic dishes for the little ones.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms: Well furnished with towels and bedding. Only drawback was the bunkroom uses sleeping bags instead of sheets and blankets. There were extra top sheets and light blankets, which were used.
Living Room/Dining Area: Open, comfortable. Not sure if I would want to be there in summer, with the full windows, without curtains on south facing windows. For our stay we did not use the air conditioners in any rooms, as it was March, and breezes and cooler nights are the norm.
Internet: The owner provides a limited data hotspot, which is good for simple email checks, but if you require Internet research or data usage, purchase a Bahamas Sim card from one of the service providers in Marsh Harbor.
Green construction: This should be better described in the property description, as it is a solar powered hot water system. Also the water is from a house cistern system, which we never noticed a problem with. It is fine for bathing but you purchase water for drinking. The solar heated water system provided adequate warm water in terms of quantity, but for our first week we could not get a hot shower. This was a problem for the little kids’ baths, as well for the grandparents. Our 3-month-old grandchild was bathed in the kitchen sink, as that was the warmest tap. The 4th day of our rental the owner asked the property manager to adjust the water mix temperature up. This was adequate for most of the younger family, but older family members and little children who needed hot showers were not served. The reliance on solar hot water is a drawback for an expensive rental home.
Other: Good communication w property manager and owner.
On the whole this is a dynamic home, especially for eco-conscious families and travelers. We wanted to give an honest review, as that is most helpful for the vacationer evaluating the property.

Loved it - Beautiful Location, Nicely Appointed, and Very Helpful Owner/Caretaker
What a find! After renting a house in Little Harbour that didn't live up to our expectations (no AC, poorly ventilated, bugs, dirty, etc.), I lucked into this house (Fish On) around 2am on HomeAway as a much needed replacement for the house that we had originally rented. The homeowner and his caretaker basically performed a "small miracle" and we were able to move into the house the same day that I requested within HomeAway! Thanks to Russ and Jason!
We were blown away with the location, amenities, and thoroughness that the homeowners have included as part of this beautiful house. If you like gorgeous views of the ocean, privacy - only a couple of houses on the road next to this house, close proximity to Cherokee Sound and Little Harbour, and to explore multiple beaches - then this house is for you. We're big fans of this area (Cherokee Sound, Little Harbour, Casurina Point) and this has to be one of nicest homes in this area. Nice kitchen, great layout, comfortable beds, very clean, new, awesome views of the water and great spot to watch a movie at night!
Our typical schedule each day was to wake up and have some coffee, light breakfast, and check our email. We then would either walk down to one of three beaches to look for sea glass, small shells, and just enjoy the walk. We would then head to Pete's pub for lunch and then either repeat the morning or arrange for a day of fishing/snorkeling with Dana Lowe in Cherokee Sound. We founds lots of sea glass (one of our favorite ways to walk the beach) and also loved the hidden beach (Little Bay) that required more a hike from the house. Probably one of the most scenic beaches that any of us have ever been to...
Russ and Jason were always quick to respond to any of my questions and really appreciated their advice.
Special tips:
- Patron tequila bottles make perfect sea glass and shell containers. We like the Bristol store in Marsh Harbor for our liquor, wine, and beer. Beer is really expensive in Abaco - stick with wine, rum, tequila, or bourbon
- Love Maxwells in Marsh Harbor for groceries - good variety, well organized, and clean
- Make the hike to Little Bay beach from the house
- Look for sea glass on all beaches
- Take a snorkeling trip with a guide or Dive Abaco
- Go bonefishing with a guide (Dana Lowe, etc.)
- Eat at Pete's Pub (we love the hog snapper & the triggerfish)
This was the best house that we've ever rented in the Bahamas! Definitely "A+"!

We had some issues which went unresolved (representations made in the listing, which have since been corrected, and a lack of hot water which was attributed to the weather) despite a lot of effort on both parties side. In the end, we’d all recommend staying elsewhere.

It was a great location for quiet and privacy. Views are great, house is spacious!
We had activities planned everyday at the Abaco Club, but in the mornings and at night the house was perfect. Big rooms and beds are very comfortable!

Amazing home Amazing Location!!
Myself and a couple friends rented Fish-on for a little over a week. All I can say is WOW!! I have traveled all through out the Bahamas and this place is a hidden GEM. It is a 25 minute drive from Marsh Harbor Airport(MHH). We stopped at the grocery store there named Maxwell's. it is a US sized and quality grocery store. From there we headed to the house and once arrived we were mind blowed with the stunning views and the accommodations. the ocean views are amazing and you are a few hundred yards down a very open yet private path to the beach. there are only a couple houses in the area so you can be rest assured that the beach will be all yours!. the entire place was spacious and very clean. The 2 bedrooms on the main floor are very large and have private baths. The Main suite upstairs is about as perfect as it gets for a couple on a getaway. Private entrance, Balcony, and full bath will make you want to wake up early to catch the sunrise. Which I am lucky enough to say the week I was there were the most beautiful I have ever seen. I could keep typing for hours. But, as an avid traveler I can tell you that this home will be everything you are looking for and I and my friends easily agreed that we will be frequent visitors/renters. I give it an easy 5 stars. I can honestly say that no one had a complaint all week. It was perfect!!! A special thank you to Russ and his wife for meeting us at the airport to personally hand us the keys as we were his first renters ever.
