About this lodge
You won't find anything else like River Rock Lodge, it's why we have guests come back year after year! The lodge was custom designed to be the perfect gathering place for your group in the heart of the Hocking Hills. We own and operate the lodge (Liberty Log Lodging) and spend time there ourselves making sure everything is perfect for your stay.
River Rock is located between Logan and Hocking Hills State Park, just 10 minutes to Old Man's Cave, Cedar Falls and Conkle's Hollow. The private setting is so amazing you might not want to leave the lodge. There is an outdoor basketball court and 12 beautiful acres to roam. Bring your fishing poles for the stocked fishing pond (bass, cat fish, blue gill) or just relax on the dock. Many guests say they enjoyed their daily walks around the pond on our trails.
The fully stocked kitchen has everything needed to prepare and serve a meal. Enjoy a dinner "at home" at the custom made dining table or breakfast bar. Ask us about catering and traveling chef options if you prefer not to cook.
The main floor living room features sofas and love seats arranged around the 2 story stone fireplace and wall of windows. From here walk out onto the 3000+ Sq Ft of expansive wrap around covered porches where you can grill, dine, and relax around the outdoor covered fireplace.

The main floor has one queen bedroom with an ensuite full bath. There is also a half bath on the main floor.
Upstairs there are 4 identical Queen bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms.
The lower level has 2 Queen Bedrooms one of which has a mini size crib (you'll want to bring mini sized crib sheets) and the Bunk room which has 2 queen bottom beds and 2 twin tops. There are 2 full baths down in the basement.
There is a queen size EZ Lounger in the sitting area off the main floor living room.
All towels and linens are provided. If you prefer not to fully disconnect while you're away we have Starlink Internet and DirecTV.
The basement has a game room with TV, couches, pool table and foosball. From the basement you can walk out on to the bottom covered deck to take in all the natural beauty while you soak in the covered hot tub, enjoy a game of corn hole, or gather around the fire ring under the string lights.
We love Hocking Hills and have hiked all the trails and visited most of the area attractions so please feel free to ask us questions as you plan your trip. River Rock is frequently rented for off site corporate events, family reunions, and retreats- we are happy to help you plan!
Please read our rental agreement before booking- No College, Prom Parties. No Hunting, Fireworks. Maximum 22 guests at all times. Minimum age for renting is 25, We reserve the right to request a copy of ID. Weddings/Events must be approved and pay wedding fee. Check in is 4PM, Check out is 11am. Holidays & Summer have a 3 night minimum.

This is an absolutely fabulous place to stay in Hocking Hills! Everything is exactly as described and honestly, it surpassed our expectations! It’s huge! We had 8 adults and 8 children, ages 4 through 11, and they loved every minute! The hot tub, fire pit, pond, basketball court, bunk bed room, entertainment room ~ so much to enjoy!

This cabin had it all! Enough size to accommodate several families and still make us feel not on top of eachother. It was completely stocked with everything we needed. Very clean and close to hiking!

Our stay at River Rock lodge was wonderful!
We had a family Christmas celebration weekend and it was the perfect place. It was very spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a large group. The lodge was beautiful and charming inside. We appreciated all the amenities and Sarah was very helpful and responsive.

This property is one of the best we've experienced! Lots of space for groups or families with well-equipped kitchen located in the heart of Hocking Hills. The owners were responsive and gracious. Can't say enough positive things about this special place!

This cabin is absolutely gorgeous and was the perfect place for our family of 12 to have some quality time together. Everything was clean and well stocked at the cabin, above and beyond any rental we’ve stayed in before. We had firewood but it was nice to be able to buy some bundles for the fireplace on the deck. We are so thankful we found this cabin and hope to visit again soon!

This property did not disappoint! It was everything we hoped it would be for our family group of 14. We loved all the individual space and all the large group gathering space. Also loved the decks and picnic tables. Communication with the property owners was great. Recommend highly! Beautiful wooded setting for relaxation.

We had our children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren together to celebrate our 40 years together as a family. Everyone really enjoyed being together and the excellent accomodations. I highly reccomend this property!

We loved this house! Was wonderful for our family of 14 ranging in ages from 12-73. Caught soem fish in the pond, used the hot tub, played cornhole and lots of pool and of course did a ton of hiking. It was so nice having a dining room table big enough for all of us! We cooked in all week and the house had just about everything we needed! Loved having 2 coffee pots!

A lot of times you see pictures of a house and when you get there it doesn't live up to the pics, but this place lived up to its gorgeous pics. everything was cleaned and well stocked and lots of places for our large extended families to branch out. There is a plak on a wall that says "Life is better at the lodge" we used that plak in a multitude of photos. each person with their own rendition of "Life is betteer at the lodge".

Everything was as described and weather allowed to enjoy the all the outside has to offer. Our grand daughter took her first steps during the trip. Had a great Easter egg hunt with all the kids. Fished, hiked, played basketball, had night time fires that included smores, a perfect week.

This house was perfect for our group of multiple families with kiddos. The property was clean. The kitchen was well stocked. The property manager communicated really well. We played multiple games of pool. The pond and basketball court were a nice touch. Would highly recommend this house to anyone!!

The home and property are beautiful. The pictures accurately showed the beautiful home. We had great weather in the mid 50's and sun which made exploring all Hocking Hills had to offer so great. The house is within 20 minutes of all the great natural sites. Our stay was perfect, we had some firewood delivered and made good use of both the indoor and outdoor fire places and enjoyed the deck overlooking the wooded property. There was plenty of space indoors if someone wanted some quiet time or join the rest of the group in the open living area. Just an awesome place to stay. Sarah provided all necessary information up front but was also quick to respond to any questions. I would not hesitate to rent again.

A beautiful log home situated on a "no need to leave" property with plenty of room and entertainment on site. Our grand kids were thrilled and enjoyed especially with the well stocked catch and release pond where they make some great memories while fishing.
The home has a greatly stocked kitchen of accessories to easily prepare any meal of your imagination.
The entire home was stocked with plenty of toiletries as well as updated linens.
Our entire family of 14 are already wishing for another visit!

There was a grocery store very close, so we easily had everything we needed here. We actually hosted a micro wedding at the property and there was plenty of space to entertain ourselves the night before and gather on the porch for our own dance party/reception the day of. The beautiful kitchen and dining area made a wonderful backdrop for the dinner needing very little decoration aside from our table runner and centerpieces. Plenty of dishes, and coffee pots. Highly recommend!! Remember to pack toiletries, and bring drinking water if you don't like well water taste. Great team taking care of this property!

This was a fantastic house for our family vacation (7 adults and 10 children (ages 0-10 years old). There is plenty to do at the house (games, hot tub, basketball, fishing) and it is close to the hiking trails and about 10-15 minutes from Walmart/Kroger. The house is beautiful with a wrap-around porch (just as pictured) and very clean.

This cabin has everything. The location is perfect for hiking in the park. We saw wildlife, went fishing, made a campfire, played cards and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Nice getaway before everyone headed back to school. Thank you!

Christmas Gift for my family
This past December I was so busy with work that I had zero time to shop. River Rock Lodge was the perfect gift for 15 members of my family. Four generations, ages 4 to 78. We had a fabulous vacation sharing time and adventure! The pond on the property was full of fish and my great-nephew caught at least “85” of them 😉. The lodge has everything you need and anything you could want. Plenty of room for everyone and so many choices to choose from. Area hiking and zip lining rounded out our adventure. Clean/accommodating/full-of-fun! We hope to return for a Fall or Winter trip to enjoy another season in the area!

Family Gathering
This was perfect for us. We celebrated our 65th wedding anniversary with our family for the weekend. It allowed for many activities and the whole group in the spacious house eating together. We could not have been happier. A beautiful kitchen. A great bunk room. Great hot tub. It goes on and on. We loved it.

We used this lodge for our corporate retreat. Since this was a business function I needed to find a place large enough so everyone could have their own bed. The listing states 13 beds but it is actually 12 beds and a crib. If there could be more beds somehow this place will be great for us in future years! Maybe make another bunk room!! Besides this issue everything was clean and ready for our arrival. The lodge and its surroundings are beautiful and we all enjoyed our stay.
