All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically public since the Queen owns up to the high watermark. Be advised, the beach or water entry behind your property may vary slightly from the images displayed due to weather. The next-door beach is also always available for your use.
***Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed***
Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally. Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency in recent years. Although sargassum is an unsightly nuisance, it is largely seasonal in summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival.
Should sargassum be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation. We try our best to work around mother nature.

The house was set up exactly as it was advertised. I would say it is priced accordingly. There were plenty of cooking supplies in the kitchen and plenty of towels in the bathrooms. The master bed was comfortable, the beds in the other rooms were not. The doors from the master to outside do not open for access to outside which I did not like.
The beach view was amazing, but the water is shallow and stagnant. The kids only went in once and sunk into the muck. It smelled pretty bad so we didn't spend any time outside enjoying the view. There is a lot of sea grass growing in the water and also trash, old tires, debris washed up on the properties on either side of this one. The beach directly in front of the house had been cleaned up very well.
I was also disappointed that we were charged for the Silver Thatch services, but could not reach them. We called the property manager and he told us to keep trying the number. We went to the address during business hours but they were not open. There were kayaks at the house but they belonged to silver thatch and we could not get ahold of them to unlock them. It would have been nice to be able to kayak out past the sea grass.
The location was nice and quiet. It was very close to Rum Point which we enjoyed most of all of the locations we visited. I would recommend having a rental car if you are staying here because it is about a 45 minute drive to the airport.

I give it 3 1/2 Stars. Beautiful view, but this beach wasn't quite what I expected.

Wonderful property!
The layout of the home is comfortable and inviting and can easily accommodate families and / or friends with sufficient space to congregate. The kitchen is well stocked with all that you need and the outside is steps away from the ocean with space to sun and shaded areas for those who prefer to stay out of the sun. Rum point is a 5 minute drive. We loved our stay!

Our family of 10 stayed & loved the layout, the pavilion, the private beach & the pool. Our only disappointment was the lack of quality in the kitchen items. We cooked breakfasts & a large dinner and had a tough time finding pots & pans that weren't warped, extremely old or broken. An update in the kitchen would be a definite plus. Would we come back? Absolutely!

We wanted a house that could accommodate two families of four each, both with two adults and two elementary school aged kids (8 total people). The house was absolutely perfect in that regard. The floor plan is smart, functional, collaborative yet allowed families space and separation when needed. We did choose to flip a coin for the more choice master bedroom. Externally, the house is a little tough to find as it's driveway entrance is hard to discern and tight, especially at night. The front yard was only used to grill, which worked out well. The back yard was amazing. Palms everywhere, a hammock, lounge chairs, well groomed sandy ground. The swing was not functional. We didn't use the pool as the weather never got hot enough, due to constant coolish breeze, but it looked great. The view out the back, under the covered patio, was top shelf and truly awe inspiring. The beach condition started off poorly with lots of washed up turtle grass and debris. We spent an hour raking all that away to reveal a nice 20 meter stretch of sandy playground. Would have been great to have that taken care of prior but no big deal. Water entry wasn't the best for kids with lots of broken coral, turtle grass, etc... One can't blame the house for that but keep it in mind. This isn't an area of 100 meters of white sand out into the surf. We rented kayaks which worked well for cruising around (at high tide). Snorkeling was very good with abundant sea life if one is comfortable out past the turtle grass, shallow sea fan barrier, small breakers, into deeper ocean-side (10-15 feet) water, roughly 200m straight out.
We noticed with the separate locked garage, there seemed to be a 2nd story apt which apparently had tenants. We didn't interact and only saw a car there at night.
The booking process was easy, informative and pain free. The on-island property manager, Roy, lives across the street and was friendly and helpful. The house was situated within easy, relaxed drive of Rum Point, East-Side, Crystal Caves, etc...

Our family of seven comfortably enjoyed this well stocked, clean, thoughtfully appointed, and colorfully decorated Rum Point home.
The view from inside the house, under the gazebo, and the beach was spectacular.
Overall, this house and experience was relaxing in the way that it should be.
We had a few minor maintenance issues..nothing that was the fault of the owner, just things that arise when you own a home in the Caribbean.
The maintenance team resolved them immediately, effectively, and in a friendly manner.
Our stay was not disturbed at all.
We look forward to returning some day.

We had 9 adults and 2 children staying at the property, which provided more than enough room and privacy to accommodate all. The location, about 5 minutes from Rum Point is perfect - not too touristy, but close to a lot of amenities.
The beautiful beach and water is right out the back door, along with the private swimming pool.
The design of the house with a Great Room (Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen and Sun Room), with 3 bedrooms off one side and 2 bedrooms with a sitting room on the other side made for great privacy, yet having a focal point for all to gather.
The furnishings and beds were very comfortable and clean with more than enough linens, towels and bedding.
The outside of the property was expansive, extremely well landscaped, with lots of furniture to accommodate all the guests.
It was a tropical paradise.
Also if needed the local property manager is located nearby and is available on any day to answer your questions, and any concerns you may have.
I would definitely recommend this property. It is a first class accommodation and well worth the cost.

This house is amazing! We were so comfortable. The beach was very nice. Beautiful blue green water! Totally enjoyed the snorkeling! It was such an adventure. Turtle Farm, Hell, shopping in Georgetown, snorkeling at Paradise, loved all the fresh fruit!. Driving on the opposite side was fun! And then we returned to our "home".So wonderful having my coffee outside in the morning and hearing the ocean. I would love to return to this very spot! I highly recommend this house. Definitely 5 stars!

This house was perfect for our group of 8, which included two kids (5, 7) and six adults, including grandparents. The house is casual, clean, well-appointed, quiet, and situated on a beach with very fine snorkeling right out front. The new covered sitting area near the back porch overlooks the ocean and captures the breeze around the clock - we spent many hours there too. The balance of common and private space is ideal in the house. The space is open and inviting. The kids loved the modest, yet clean pool and the outside shower was great for getting the salt off after time in the ocean. We rented kayaks and snorkel gear and ventured farther out off the beach and saw a great variety of sea creatures. We will definitely return to this house whenever we find ourselves on Grand Cayman again - which we hope will be soon!

The house was perfect for our two families - plenty of room for 4 adults and 5 kids. The beach, pool and amenities were all we needed to make our vacation a memorable experience for everyone. Great location away from the busy 7-mile area and close enough to Rum Point to find great restaurants and a flat for bonefish. We highly recommend Coconut Beach!

We had a wonderful vacation at Coconut Beach! The home is perfect for families - lots of living area, beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms and perfectly located for Rum Point amenities, restaurants and Chisolm's Grocery Store just down the street. We saw stingrays right behind the house and the reef right off the beach was great for snorkeling. Coconut Beach was terrific!
