Great place to stay.

This beachy vintage cottage was charming, updated, clean, great location and perfect for our family for a 5 day getaway. Equipped with everything we needed. Super easy walk to beach, and only a few blocks to great restaurants and shopping in Lido Marina. Had parking space in garage but street parking wasn't very difficult, even on a holiday weekend. Check in and check out process was easy. The property management company was great, on top of it, followed up with texts and emails to make sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this place and we would definitely come back!

Great location, neighbors were great and close to everything

The cottage was cute, clean and the perfect size and location for our needs! Garage was a huge plus as street parking is limited. We felt safe walking to/from the beach and to local restaurants. The provided beach towels and wash basin right out the front door were so helpful also. The host was extremely proactive in communicating changes (unplanned street work) and even repaired the washing machine on a holiday. We would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect quiet location just minutes from Huntington Beach. Plenty of retail and restaurants

This property was perfect for our family of 5. Fully stocked, clean kitchen and immaculate bathrooms! Loved being a quick walk to the beach & restaurants. Would love to visit again.

We had a great time on this trip. We would definitely stay here again, close to everything and very walkable. The bathrooms, kitchen and living room are all very tidy and clean and included all the amenities we needed.

We had a very early flight out, and wish we were given a clearer picture of what all we had to do before leaving the property. Didn't get an email until the day before, and obviously on vacation one does NOT look at email too often. We've never stayed somewhere that required so much of it's guests upon departure! When we saw the email late on our last night, we realized it would be necessary to get up extra, extra early to make sure dishwasher was clean AND all dishes put away. And a completely clean refrigerator? That was a new one. Additionally, it was not clear which trash bins in the alley we were to use, so hopefully we didn't upset a neighbor. We may have chosen a different spot (or AT LEAST planned cleaning time for our last day) if all of the requirements were more clearly explained before we booked.

This house was great for me and my two girls for our fall break.
the house was just as pictured.
the bathrooms were the nicest part. ha.
We had issues with the door and the lock the first day ( i got locked out and i had to wake my girls to come open the door for me). Management was super quick to come fix it which was nice.
the one complaint I have is COIN OPERATED laundry. I think it's pretty lame actually. I like to pack light on vacation and having laundry available is huge. I think it should just be part of the fees you're paying when you rent a house.
the location was great.

Small and cute. Perfect for a group that does not intend to spend a lot of time in the rental.

We enjoyed our stay. The house is cute and cozy. Very close to access the beach and places to eat. The management team was prompt with their responses to the damage from prior guests.
Would definitely stay here again.

Close to stores and places to eat, all walkable. Short walk to the beach, less than 5 min. House is small but great for a family of 4. Nothing negative to say. We had a great time.

Wonderful location, well stocked kitchen, beautiful and inviting decor. Perfect for a weekend getaway with lots to do from eating out to relaxing on the beach or going on a harbor cruise.

It would be helpful to have a friendly binder with info such as heat/space heaters/local attractions as found in many other VRBOs. I did reach out specifically about the heat since it was rainy and cold and thermostat wouldn’t kick on via email, was left a VM to call back. Seems helpful, but when on vacation often cell service is unavailable. Please consider responding in the format contacted. The bunk beds need attention as they squeak and seem unstable and is hard to sleep with top and bottom bunk occupied. Location was ideal.

Loved the area and layout. A little out dated but overall great place for the location. Obviously there were more rules to handle than usual but understandable for how much the property is worth. Hard to keep up with the sand rule given the house is next to the beach! Would recommend to others.

Great spot, with a fantastic location. Very cozy and basic, but gets the job done of being able to walk to beach and everything.

You will love your stay here
Quintessential beach bungalow walking distance to the beach. This home is like so many of the sweet houses that dot the coast of Newport Beach. Small but perfect to sleep and eat enough so you can stick your toes in the sand. It is walking distance to 19th street and beyond where all the shops and restaurants are, or head towards the harbor and grab an amazing cup of coffee or California style breakfast at Alta coffee. Jacks Surf shop is one block up so you can grab some surfer swag or rentals easily and Pavillions Grocery store is one block the other way so you can easily cook for yourself or enjoy CAs perfect fruit to avoid $$$ that comes with eating out (though there are plenty to chose from if you wanted to do that as well, Cuccina Alessa is amazing Italian a quick drive up PCH, or Gina's a block away, Baja Fish Tacos on 17th or Sancho's walking distance are amazing too). Parking is typical of this area, tight alley garage parking or parallel parking on the street if you can find it (Toyota RAV4, Mazda CX-9 are snug but perfect size). It is by the beach so salty air and sand lend all things wood or metal to swell, crack and rust. This home is no exception, but it has been well cared for and thoughtfully renovated so it was perfect for our family of 5. You will love your stay here. We certainly did.

fantastic location
Overall very pleased with this property. The location is beyond dreamy. Close to the beach (a block), food, and grocery store.
The home is pretty outdated. Doors are hard to open and shut, there are uneven spots in the flooring that we tripped on. The queen bed is propped up by Walmart napkins (I’m assuming to help with the uneven floor issue.) We hoped the washing machine and dryer were closer, but they are clear back behind the property in the garage (which is shared with another unit) and quarter operated. Since we flew here, we didn’t carry a lot of change. The owners seem pretty strict about sand getting in the house, but with kids, that is 100% impossible.
Will probably look at staying somewhere else next time we are in Newport.

Great location
Loved the location…short walk to the beach and nearby shops/restaurants. Only a 25 min drive to Disneyland which is what we came to do. Would stay again!

Enjoyed it!
We enjoyed our stay in Newport in this little house. Even with the small size we didn't feel crowded. There were five in our group (2 adults, 2 older teens, 1 tween) and all the sleeping spaces fit us well. The showers are for the average sized adult (or smaller). Location is great- restaurants, stores, beach all within walkable distance. Parking is the trickiest part if you have a minivan or larger vehicle. We were able to squeeze our rental minivan in with some doing. Street parking is usually packed and there is street sweep days/fees to account for. The ocean is still cold in April (we didn't realize) and I would recommend a wet suit if you plan to spend any time in the water. Having to check in/out at the rental company was the only “inconvenience” but is close by and all the staff are helpful, kind and responsive if there is anything that comes up.

Wonderful Beach Cottage
This cottage has everything you need for a great beach vacation. Beds are very comfortable. So nice to park the car and then be able to walk anywhere we wanted to go. I wish the showers were roomier but otherwise this place is great.

Perfect Beach Bungalow
Check in was a breeze...despite our unforeseen late arrival. The office staff was absolutely amazing! The Bungalow was picture perfect. Spotless. The beach was literally 5 minutes straight down the street. So easy. Loved it.

Great location
The check in was quick and easy. The place was in a great location. Walking distance to the pier, grocery store, restaurants , and the beach. Nice back patio with bbq. I have two little kids and this place suited my family well for our visit.

Beautiful house but more for older age guest thinking 45 and up.
Location really beautiful however neighbor are extremely nosy. Definitely a area where alot of young kids party. We were fine 1000 for noise complaint that was actually coming from a car parked up the street from are rental. Supposedly code and water quality enforcement fine us 1000. Code enforcement rule are " they call the rental agency once giving them 30 min to respond if not respond from rental agency I guess they're about to give out a ridiculous 1000 fine. Rent at your own risk because Management does nothing to help tenants.

Family vacation
We visited CA for my granddaughter 's 2nd b-day. Check in was simple. The office was easy to find to pick up keys. Staff was very friendly. Our cottage was at a great location. Walking distance to grocery store, restaurants and the beach of course. The place was as described. It had everything we needed for our stay except the listing said it would have shampoo etc, but didn't which I assume it's due to COVID. We brought our own so that wasn't a problem for us. The patio worked well for us as it was private and the umbrella provided plenty of shade when we wanted it. We did use the gas grill which we enjoyed and the beach chairs came in handy. I would stay there again and are already discussing making this a yearly visit.

This house was perfect for me and my two teenaged girls. Great to have a second bathroom, the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything one would need. I was pleasantly surprised that there was even Tupperware for storage. Plenty of linens and all of the necessities from home that you may need. They did have a vacuum, but it was quite large and a little broom would have been nice to quickly sweep up sand. The property company sent plenty of good information beforehand re: check in, location, property rules, etc. Everything was very by the book, so much so that there were even rules about about who was allowed to be in the house at one time, which seemed odd to me, although I understand they are just watching out for their properties. Check in was 3-5 pm and not a minute sooner...I arrived at 2:50 pm in a waiting ride share and was told I had to wait outside 10 minutes until they would allow check in. Although making my ride share wait was a bit stressful, they were friendly, fast and efficient once they allowed people in to check in. In all of my years of renting in Newport, at least 2 dozen houses, I've never had to go to a different location to pick up AND drop off the keys. It's a bit of an inconvenience in todays world of Uber / Lyft, but that was the only negative of the whole experience. Otherwise, great house, great location, very comfortable and pleasant stay!

The property and location were great for my family. A few parties going on with college kids but no bother, we figured there must be a strict noise rule.
