A well appointed, comfortable home in a fantastic location. Walk to dozens of restaurants, cafes, shops and the city's best park. A perfect choice for contract professionals, corporate housing, vacationers and families.
Although located in the city's premier National Historic Preservation District, this 1908 Arts & Crafts style has been beautifully remodeled with high end kitchen and lux bathrooms. Central heat and air, refinished hardwood floors, high quality beds, luxury linens and six smart televisions to keep you comfortable and entertained. Cable and Wifi are included as well.
Original woodwork, details and period appropriate fixtures maintain the home turn of the century style. A spacious deck with grill, table, seating and loungers adds outdoor lounging space. A fire table creates a wonderful backyard focal point.
The location is second to none, with all of the city's best located close by-- Walk less than a block to Cherokee Park, a 400 acre urban oasis of walking trails, playgrounds, running loop, golf course, fountains and ball fields. From May to September, enjoy the free summer concerts each Sunday night in Willow Park (a small park at the front of the larger Cherokee Park). Or, walk in the other direction, less than a block, to shopping boutiques, coffee shops, great restaurants and, just a block further on, a full grocery, dry cleaner and movie theater. Churchill Downs is 4 miles away, downtown is 2 miles and the airport is 5 miles.
Built in 1908, the home is a classic brick four square- The first floor has a large living room with sleeper sofa, a dining room (open to the kitchen), a kitchen with island seating for 4 and a full bathroom and access to the 350 sq. ft. deck.
The second floor has one king bedroom, two queen bedrooms and a small den with a sleeper sofa and two full baths. The third floor has a king master suite with an open plan bath (walk in shower for 2, claw foot tub and separate toilet closet).
Every bedroom has a 50" Smart TV. The living room has a 65" smart TV. Wifi is available throughout the home. Beds are made up with 400 thread count cotton sheets and four top quality hypo allergenic pillows.
The kitchen is fully equipped with plates, glassware and cutlery for 12 as well as high quality pots, pans, utensils and small appliances. A corian topped island seats four. Custom stainless steel countertops and a 36" steel work sink offer plenty of space for safe meal preparation.
There is a two car garage with additional off street parking for one large or two small cars. Ample street parking is available as well.
WE OFFER TWO CHECK IN OPTIONS:
1. Digital Self Check In-- Receive your digital door code by email the day before arrival. After letting yourself in the property, you must complete the Guest Arrival Form found on the coffee table. The form requires photo ID and credit card matching the booking name. Within one hour of arrival, you must transmit a digital image of the completed form to us either by text or email. Your information will be kept on file for the duration of your stay.
2. Assisted Check In: Available from 330pm to 830pm, we will meet you in person at the property to check you in and collect the Guest Arrival form along with photo ID and credit card information in person.

1. At check in, photo ID and credit card matching the booking name are required. For digital self check in, these are submitted digitally by the guest after they let themselves into the townhouse. Information will be kept on file for the duration of your stay.
2. Why can't we have more than 12 guests total in the home for just a few hours?
The Louisville STR ordinance caps the total legal occupancy of short term rentals based on the total number of bedrooms. Violation can result in the removal of our STR license.
3. Pets or additional guests added after booking may increase pricing. If you check the box "I am traveling with pets", 1 pet will be included with your booking and our pet fee of $85 for one pet will be in the "host fee". If you have a second pet, there is an additional $45 fee. No more than 2 pets are permitted. Pets cannot be left unattended in the home unless crated.
5. Please inquire about stays more than one year in the future prior to booking. Instant Bookings made more than 365 days in advance may not be honored and the rate may be incorrect. Please note that our minimum nightly pricing for the Kentucky Derby weekend is $3695 per night with a 3 day minimum.
Cancellation Policies:
1. Cancel penalty free within 24 hours of booking if your arrival date is 14 days or more away.
2. Reservations cancelled 60 days or more in advance will receive a refund of 1/2 the payment.
3. Reservations cancelled less than 60 days in advance will not receive a refund of any part of the payment.
4. No cancellation is permitted after final payment.
5. If travel to our area is restricted by governmental order, we will issue a 100% credit good for future travel at any of our homes within 18 months of original booking.

NOTE: Steps to 3rd floor have an 8 inch rise rather than the standard 7 inch modern stair rise. Guests with mobility issues may find these stairs difficult.

We checked in on Friday afternoon. We walked to many of the local restaurants that were within blocks of this house. We had a wonderful time. The common areas are very nice and each bedroom was very comfortable and the neighborhood was very quiet . We loved sitting out on the porch and talking in the evening.

Eight of us from out of town, joined multiple family members who live in Louisville. We cooked large feasts in the kitchen and ate around the very large dining room table in high style. Then played endless games, puzzled, and took daily walks in nearby Cherokee Park, exploring multiple trails and walkways. We walked to nearby Bardstown Road, exploring boutiques, going to the local movie theater, and overall had a fantastic Christmas celebration. The owners provided a Christmas tree and everything we needed. All was absolutely wonderful.

Loved staying in this lovely home within walking distance to restaurants and coffee shop. Very clean with all the charm of an older home. Everything you could possibly need was available in the house and the host was very responsive. Highly recommend this home if you are visiting Louisville as it is a short drive to most places (airport, sports, museums).

First time to Louisville and totally enjoyed it! The house was in a nice neighbourhood that was safe and walkable to restaurants and grocery. Short Uber ride to Downtown and other area attractions like the Zoo, Mega Cavern and River Cruise. The house was beautiful with lots of beds and bathrooms. Host was very responsive and helped me with an emergency on my last day. Highly recommend.

Incredible neighborhood with lots of fun restaurants and shops within walking distance. Wonderful house and front porch. Would stay again! Stairs going to 3rd floor are very steep but to be expected in an older house. One of the full bathrooms is on first floor off the kitchen and all bedrooms are on upper floors. The beds, bedding and towels were first rate. Very comfortable. We can’t rave enough about the neighborhood!

Our stay was wonderful. The house is beautiful and comfortable. It has a gorgeous backyard and patio where we sat at night. The garage was very convenient for keeping our motorcycles out of the street. The location was great too. There’s a great little breakfast spot just down the block. It’s called Highland Morning. I would highly recommend this house for Bourbon Trail explorations!

This location is great. Beautiful area in Louisville. Walking distance to many places. The house is vintage on the outside. Inside amenities are modern where it’s important. But also beauty of original design shines through in every space. Would happily stay there again.

My family enjoyed our Thanksgiving trip to Louisville, NC. The home was in a great location; near restaurants, bars and groceries. The owner had it stocked with numerous accessories. If you are looking for a modern home, this might not be for you. But, if you want the historic flare of Louisville with several modern interior updates, it’s a great choice.

Life group vacation
Deirdre is an awesome host! She was very easy to communicate with, and very quick to answer questions. The home is beautiful and had plenty of room for our life group. (8 adults) The front porch was the spot for lots of morning coffee conversations, and plenty of evening relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and the beds were SUPER comfortable! The home is located in a fantastic neighborhood with lots of good food (don't miss Highland Morning for breakfast!!) and plenty of cute little shops. Close to downtown, too! We all loved our stay and we would hope to come right back to this home!!!

Very clean. Excellent neighborhood - very walkable, right by Bardstown Road and all that it has to offer; short drive to downtown. We only used the 3rd floor bedroom and the bed was very comfortable. Kitchen has all necessary supplies- thank you for the complimentary chocolates and snacks! Would definitely like to stay here again if and when we return to Louisville.
