Drawing inspiration from her time on stage, she commissioned architect George Washington Smith to capture the essence of a celebrated London stage production of the era. Smith, acclaimed for his classic Santa Barbara architecture, completed Ravenscroft in 1922. Considered an architectural marvel, the home continues to embody a flair for drama, elegance, and the grandeur of a bygone era. The storied living room embraces two large sofas and ample seating for large gatherings. The over-sized and roaring fireplace compliments the opulence of the space, where Peggy used to bring her cherished saddle horse inside to warm by the flames.
