About this house rental
Welcome to 6 Brown Pelican! This beautiful seven bedroom, six bathroom oceanfront Sea Pines home has all that you want in a vacation rental home and can sleep 18 guests total.
The private pool deck has plenty of seating for relaxing. The private pool and spa can be heated seasonally - please see more details in the description below. There is an additional fee to heat the pool and/or spa - please reach out to our office in advance if you are interested. . There is also amazing outdoor living space to enjoy.
The home is outfitted with wireless internet and a gas grill. This is a dog friendly home for an additional fee of $250 plus tax - please let us know in advance if you plan to bring your dog.
1st Floor:
Just beyond the grand staircase, is the first living area with a flat screen TV + access to the pool deck. For your convenience, there is a large wet bar with a refrigerator and dishwasher. The first of two washer/dryers are located downstairs.
The first bedroom has two sets of twin bunk beds & a full window daybed + a flat screen TV. The private bathroom has a walk-in shower.
The first master suite has a king bed, flat screen TV + access to the pool deck. The private bath has a walk-in shower. Bedroom three has two twin beds and bedroom four has a king bed. They share a bathroom with a walk-in shower. Both bedrooms have flat screen TVs.
2nd Floor:
The living room has a flat screen TV. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, granite countertops & much more. There is a second laundry room + a third full sized refrigerator in the room off the kitchen.
There is direct access off the living & dining area to the expansive, L shaped second floor wraparound porch. The outdoor seating area offers even more options to relax with the view of the beach.
The second master suite has a king bed, flat screen TV, and balcony access with ocean views. The private bathroom has been fully renovated and has a double vanity + walk-in shower.
Bedroom six and seven both have a king bed, flat screen TV + each has a private bathroom just outside the bedroom door. One has a walk-in shower and the other is a shower/tub combo.

6 Brown Pelican was a perfect getaway for our family - 10 adults and 2 dogs. We did not have any minors in our group, but the house would have easily accommodated them. We expected luxury in our rental, and all were satisfied. Property management was communicative in advance of our stay and responsive during it when we called with a few concerns. Multiple kitchen, laundry and lounge areas gave us fantastic spaces, either to gather or to spread out. The well-equipped kitchen was conducive to dining in multiple nights, and the location was great both for Sea Pines and other HHI restaurants, etc. Perfect location for days mixed with beach, pool, and indoor time, depending on individual interests.

For $36,000/week i was underwhelmed. The entire family lost a day of pool use because the pool drained. A/C struggled to keep temp (I get it's hot, but buy a bigger unit. Frige didn't close and made no ice. For that type of rental income, stunned with the poor amentites were.

The home was as advertised and an excellent getaway from the rains of the Northeast. The only stumbling block was a pesky pool/hot tub heater that worked when it was “in the mood”. The maintenance team responded promptly and worked through the diagnostics over several visits finally achieving victory. It was a minor convenience that did little to interfere with the family fun.

Enjoyed a great stay at 6 Brown Pelican with the family. We had 10 people (adults) plus our lab, Rose. House is in great shape, very clean and well equipped. The house managers were responsive and easy to deal with. A great experience and we would rent the house again.

The house was amazing. We had a wonderful time! When we first got there, the air conditioning on the first floor was not working. We were so impressed that somebody came and stayed until 11:30 that night to fix it! My only complaint about the house is that some of the mattresses really need to be replaced and some of the beds were EXTREMELY squeaky.

The house is beautiful and spacious with lovely furnishings; best organized and equipped kitchen I have seen in my (many) years of renting nice homes in Sea Pines—-everything labeled. Well-maintained with quality bed linens and towels. We appreciated the labeled light switches as well.My granddaughters practically lived in the pool which is well screened from the adjacent Publix boardwalk by vegetationThe bunk bed room with two sets of bunk beds and a double in a window alcove was perfect for them.Great location within east walking distance of Salty Dog (ice cream).

Loved the location of this home! Very spacious and comfortable for our family of 13 adults. Great pool and outdoor living space. The house and grounds were spotless. It would be nice to have some lamps in the main living space and dimmers on the overhead lighting (way too bright at night with ceiling lights on, especially for dining). The main thing missing from this home are powder rooms on each floor, which you would expect this size home to have. All in all a wonderful place that would consider renting again.

The home was comfortable and had a great location. It was great that there were beach chairs and beach towels. The pool was wonderful and perfect for our family of 18. We have been coming to HHI for 25 years and have stayed in many beautiful homes. At this price point we were expecting a more updated house. The bathrooms were very small and all need renovated. Our shower head was only partially working. In the childrens bunk room there was food left on floor from previous tenant and food wrappers. The kitchen could have used more serving bowls, coffee cups, and a second dishwasher. We often had to run the dishwasher twice a day. It was a benefit to have the second refrigerator in the kitchen though. Overall we had a wonderful vacation but we have paid the same amount for more updated homes.

Overall our stay at 6 Brown Pelican for the Christmas holiday was wonderful. Our extended family of 23 had not been together as a group in 7 years...we came from Texas, Georgia, New Jersey, Florida and South Carolina to celebrate Christmas 2020. We arrived a couple days before the holiday to settle in. Loved that the house was close to Harbor Town, shopping and dining....the split living areas was great for those that needed a bit of separation, large dining areas for our big group was perfect for our holiday dinners. We heated the pool and spa and it was money well spent. The pathway to the beach just outside the back door was great for both the kids and the grand parents. Beautiful views and sunsets daily. We had small children that went to bed early and because of the design of the house the noise from TV's and those playing cards and games traveled to the bedrooms and presented issues with the little ones trying to sleep. We are a family of chefs, lots of preparation and cooking, we found ourselves washing the dishes by hand after they had run through a 2 hour dishwasher cycle. Spending so much time hand washing dishes took away time from the fun of being together. I'd say that was the biggest issue and feel the appliances (dishwashers and washer/dryers) really need to be replaced. For the cost of the rental one would expect more updated appliances.

This house was great. I wish the pictures did a better job of showing how easy it is to access the beach, and the views from the main floor and deck are unbelievable. The home itself was perfect for our family and its proximity to South Beach Marina and the shops/restaurants was ideal. I highly recommend renting bikes. The rental company's service was remarkable, there responsiveness and attention to minor details made all the difference. We had a problem with the gas grill the first night and they replaced the entire unit by lunch the next day. We needed a break from 2020 and this home was perfect. Plenty of room and recently renovated, this is a great spot for multiple families and lots of kids.

Brown Pelican was everything we needed for our extended family getaway. The heated pool/hot tub were perfect. We were able to use both the entire week. The outside area with fire pit were a great addition. Our young adults played games on the grass as well as the beach. Access to the beach was easy and we walked several times to the Salty Dog Cafe.

Wonderful time at a wonderful home!!!
We were a family of 12 who all met at the beach for fall break. We had a great week! The house was perfect. Everyone who wanted their own bed had one. Lots of bathrooms! The kitchen was well stocked. So easy to cook in! Everything was clean and working. The two laundry rooms made laundry easy. We used the beach chairs in the closet instead of the ones we rented as they were much nicer. We did use the rental umbrellas though. The walk to the beach is shorter and easier than any condo we've ever stayed in. We took the bikes to the beach and had a blast. We paid to heat the hot tub and I highly suggest doing so. We really enjoyed it. Especially the little guys! We had planned to go out to eat several nights, but we all enjoyed eating out on the very large deck with super nice tables and chairs, that we ended up grilling out most nights. It was sooo nice to be able to bring our dog as he is part of the family. :). We just had a great time and are already talking about a return visit! You will not be disappointed in this house!!!

17 family members came to help celebrate our anniversary. Plenty of room, pool was great for the little ones. Easy walk to the beach! Easy walk to salty dog cafe and some shops! We rented bikes and beach chairs ahead of time! We used a personal chef to cook dinner one night which was awesome! So happy that we were all able to stay together without having to go to a resort! It was our own private resort!

50th anniversary celebration
17 family members came to help celebrate our anniversary. Plenty of room, pool was great for the little ones. Easy walk to the beach! Easy walk to salty dog cafe and some shops! We rented bikes and beach chairs ahead of time! We used a personal chef to cook dinner one night which was awesome! So happy that we were all able to stay together without having to go to a resort! It was our own private resort!

A great house and great location. Very clean with plenty of space and amenities. The house is pet friendly so we brought our small dog which worked out really well. The house is located on the sound side, not directly ocean facing, but the beach is very nice and the house has a gorgeous view over to Daufuskie. A very short walk/bike ride to South Beach Marina. Overall, I would highly recommend the house and would rent it again.

This was an amazing house. We had 20 of our 26 family members stay here (the others were in a condo a short drive away). This was our third family vacation. The first in Hawaii, the 2nd in The Isle of Palms. 6 Brown Pelican was the best by far. This house exceeded all expectations!! Our entire group met here for all meals and visiting the beach. The two dining areas both inside and outside accommodated all 26 of us. The design/layout of the house was exceptional as we never felt crowded. The boardwalk to the beach was next to the house which made for easy walk to beach and also to take bikes to the beach. The property management company promptly responded to our few issues.
