About this apartment rental
The Cohen Loft is a beautifully restored three story building in the heart of downtown Nashville. Originally built in the late 1800’s the Cohen building was built as a Renaissance Revival-style building by Meyer and Etta Brinkley Cohen.
The Meyer Loft is located inside the historic Cohen Building. The entire loft is made up of over 3,000+ square foot living space.
The couple owned a lucrative jewelry shop on the first floor and occupied the top two levels as their lavish downtown residence. Mrs. Cohen lived and entertained here from the time of her marriage in 1897 until 1930 at the time of her death. She was well known around Nashville for her extravagant parties. The Cohen Building is a piece of history with longtime roots in the downtown Nashville community.
In 2012 Sanders Pace Architectural firm was hired to restore the building and create a custom residential loft dwelling on the third floor for the-still current majority owner of The Cohen, Betsy & Ryan Chapman, as well as buildouts for the original corporate headquarters of both Nashville-based, Giarratana Development and Premier Parking (now known as Metropolis Technologies, Inc) and the Modern Trousseau wedding dress shop on the 1st floor.
In 2014, the Chapman’s had expanded their family with a little one, paving the way for the current design, which was completed in 2021. To finish out a one of a kind stay, the first floor became the home to the Nashville Barrell Company, a custom whiskey tasting experience and lounge to help round out your Nashville experience.
Guests have access to the loft, the building elevator and street level entrance lobby (for entrance and exit of the premises), and two parking space located in the covered garage next door.
Parking: You will have 2 reserved, FREE parking spots in the Viridian Parking Garage located.
Smoking is not allowed on the property under any circumstances.
There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not. For housekeeping services during your stay, please contact the host. We do not permit towels or linens to be removed from the premises under any circumstances.

Beautiful property close to everything! Had plenty of room for all 8 of us to relax in the family room together and all 4 bedrooms were very nice and clean.

This condo was extremely pleasing, the location was fantastic. Close to Broadway, and there was a market right next door.
I would definitely recommend this for a place to stay!

Gals group enjoyed the luxury loft accomodations while staying central to Broadway. Very comfortable, tucked away spot.

Very cool place to stay, beautiful space. Location was so convenient and host was responsive when wuestions arose. Would definitely stay here again in the future, highly recommend.

There were six of us and we went to Nashville to celebrate my wife’s 40th birthday. The property was spacious, clean, and perfect for our group. The location was also absolutely amazing! You are just a couple blocks from Broadway and all of the evening’s entertainment. Pretty much everywhere else within Nashville that you would want to visit is either within walking distance or a short (inexpensive) Uber ride. Highly recommend!

Great place. Pictures don’t justify how much space thus unit has. Had a great stay and will book again.

This beautiful loft is in a perfect location to take in all the sights in Downtown Nashville.

The Cohen loft was an amazing place to stay in Nashville! The location is perfect for walking to Broadway. The house is huge and accommodated our group of 8 perfectly! The beds are very comfortable and clean and there were plenty of towels. Any questions I had during our stay were quickly answered by the property management. I would highly recommend and would stay here again.

inside space was the perfect place for 11 family members to have Christmas...lots of room. A bit complicated if you are diving but great if you are Ubering.
4.8
Everything was great. There was a large noise in the master bedroom sporatically in the middle of the night but believe it to be a mechanical unit from a nearby building, air conditioner or compressor or something, but this property is huge, larger than described, and location is ideal.

Very nice place. Great location. Great communication with host. Will definitely come back!!!

2-3 blocks from everything downtown and just an Uber ride to more laid back areas.

We loved this property! We loved how close we were to Broadway. Very spacious. and the space was beautiful! Master bedroom/bathroom was huge! The key/elevator was the only downside...1 key/fab for a group of 10 wasn't enough. Other than that, we would highly recommend!

The location of this condo was great -- just a few blocks to downtown. The space was also great -- lots of room to spread out. And it was great having a free parking space that was very close. That's where the pros end. It was challenging to get into the property (the instructions seemed out of order), there was plenty of dust around the condo, including the furnace filters which looked like they hadn't been changed in months. We also noticed mold (mostly contained to one bathroom). The programmable thermostat was not set appropriately and it took some fiddling to get it right (were there in February and it was down-right cold in the condo until we figured out the thermostat, for which there were no instructions). Last, supplies like kleenex, dishwasher detergent, and laundry detergent were not present when we arrived. We did contact the property manager and received the detergents, but not the kleenex.

This property was all we needed and had an incredible location right downtown. Were were pleasantly surprised that there was a piano in the condo. A minor complaint was that the kitchen was not completely clean and the windows didn't open throughout the condo.

Can’t say enough good things about this place. Convenient location. Top notch accommodations for a large group. The property management team were very responsive and helped us with everything we needed. A+.

We went for a 40th girls weekend. Two blocks away from the Broadway strip in Downtown Nashville, this location is amazing. The loft itself is beautiful - exposed brick, high ceilings, trendy decor. The property contact was incredibly responsive too, even for very small questions. Would absolutely recommend. Only constructive criticism is the elevator fob - there is only one and you need it to get upstairs which is hard when you have a large group that may be on different schedules (everything else is a code which is great for groups). Perhaps 2 fobs would be more helpful since this place attracts large groups and can sleep up to 12. Property manager may want to double check the instructions listed within the VRBO against the email and app messaged instructions as I think there was a discrepancy in check in and out time (one says check in 3pm, one says 4pm and one says check out 11am and one says 10am). Perhaps making instructions more concise too which would be great, as it felt like there were a lot of instructions in a few places. Other than that, everything was great and would absolutely recommend. Thanks for a great visit!

A stone's throw from Printer's Alley and all the Broadway attractions. We walked everywhere even though we had a car. The loft is spacious, well appointed and comfortable. We will definitely stay there again on future Nashville trips. There's a little grocer 2 doors down and so many great restaurants nearby. Make a point of having breakfast at "Another Broken Egg" at least once while you're there!

Can’t beat the location of this property - super convenient for walking to Broadway. Loft was huge with a large kitchen table and family room that was perfect for our group. Check-in instructions were a little unclear and property management a little difficult to get in touch with (they were very responsive to VRBO messages but phone calls were unsuccessful). Overall a great visit and we’d definitely stay here again.
4.8
This place is HUGE and in a primo location! We spent plenty of time people watching out the huge front windows! Our only complaint is that there is only one elevator fob, which made staying with a group who frequently came and went somewhat cumbersome. Having 2 fobs would make this a more convenient experience for groups who won’t always be returning to the place at the same time.

Stunning style and decor in the Cohen loft. The location is great and steps from Broadway. Security is great given lock box access, key fob for elevator, and coded lock on the unit. C/I instruction could have been better as there was no mention of the lockbox however the management company was super quick to respond. In fact they were helpful in improving the WiFi (somewhat) and in fixing a broken tub stopper. The property is elegantly designed but is showing some age in wear and tear. Master bath and jack and jill bath have mold in shower. A/C is quite strong in the sleeping area but almost non existent in the main living area. There were a few things I would have expected given the price namely a non-stick frying pan, perhaps some tissue boxes, and much better WiFi in the main living area. Clear instruction instructions for trash removal would have been better and some towel hooks in jack and jill bathroom. I know we are being picky and overall it was a lovely stay with great sleep (mattresses were perfect) but at the price we paid I would have expected a nearly flawless experience.

Very nice for large groups and easy access to downtown locations to visit. Plenty of room and entertainment at the loft. Owner easily accessible if needed. Only issue was the disposal of garbage from the building which was resolved quickly with a phone call. There is a small convenience store just outside to get some needed beverages etc. our family loved it and would recommend it to others without any hesitation.
