Our family loved this property! It was so comfortable and clean with a large outdoor space. It had a nice kitchen for food prep. The firepit outside was so fun. Lots of room for games inside and out. We loved that it was close to all the sights and yet very private. I would definitely stay here again.

The pictures don't even compare to how great this farmhouse is. You could spend your whole time here out in the yard, on the porch, in the kitchen.. So many great open spaces. It is walking distance to The Dockside and the little public access beach. We have the best time! Working with Stephanie and Paradise Properties was a breeze and she was very welcoming. Cant wait to come back here soon!

We are a family with 7 adults. We were all very comfortable in the space. The front porch was a great place to hang out. The huge yard worked out wonderfully for yard games. We all fit with room to spare around the dining table. Loved the little extra touches of soaps, foil, spices, extra tooth brushes. Had everything we needed

Beautiful house & property. Plenty of room for cars & trailers. We had five couples & two boats with more than ample parking. The house had more than plenty of room for ten people & the wrap around porch was great for sitting when the rain came.

This property is "pure Michigan." Having never traveled to the state, we quickly understood how fortunate we were to have our request accepted. Everything is well-maintained, thoughtfully decorated, and truly accommodates the number of guests permitted. Its seclusion provides all of the privacy your group would expect from an estate-styled stay. There are a myriad of unique gathering spots you and your group can create memories, closely or collectively. The outdoor spaces are serene, but you can always seek a respite from the weather in the home's grand, inviting rooms. Alden is only a few minutes away. The town is small and quaint, yet it is abundant with leisurely activities and necessaries.

Wonderful
Very clean, plenty of space, well maintained older farmhouse. 3 min walk to torch lake and clam lake, 11 minute drive to towns of Bellaire and central lake. Large yard with fire pit and tree swing, great for the kids to play in. Kitchen has everything you need and there is a grill and a huge wrap around porch. You can tell the owners take pride in this home and it is a great rental option for multiple families. Very impressed with this house and plan to rent it again in the future. The only thing we didn’t realize was that there is no tub for the babies, but the kitchen sink is huge and that worked just fine. 5 stars!!!!!

Great Up North Vacation Spot
Great location for a winter trip. Lots of space in the house for games and gathering. The kitchen is well set up and provisioned to take care of a good sized group. Interent/tv connection isn't strong, but this is a great place for an up north retreat.

Farmhouse needs some works and better cleaning service
I'm not satisfied about this rent.
The patio was very dirty at the arrival and I had to clean it by myself.
There was no natural gas for the BBQ outside, both gas tank were empty.
The water tasted very bad (iron taste) and it was uncomfortable to take showers or brush your teeth.
Hot water stopped working at the beginning of day 2. 8 people including two kids without hot water for one third of the vacation. Tried to call Paradise Properties USA in charge for the rent but nobody answered my calls.
A lot of dirt in the back of the house probably there since months/years? Seems that how is in charge of the cleaning of this property doesn't care of it. I'm wondering if Paradise Properties USA did recently a visit to the place to see the overall status of it.
I expected lot more. This house requires lots of maintenance.

Summer Weekend
Our brother-in-laws and their family stayed here from Minnesota, Wisconsin and Florida. They had a fantastic time, learning about the rich history of the area and this historic home. The house has been updated with the latest necessities but has still retained its unique historical value. The wrap around porch was the favorite hangout for all.

Torch lake fun
This is a funky renovated farmhouse with a ton of history. Conveniently close to the marina for boat rental and close to Alden and Bellaire. Great option if not staying on the water. Not far from traverse city or Charlevoix for a day trip.

Loved the house. Perfect for our large family.
Enjoyed our experience with the exception of one family member getting locked in the bathroom due to older locks. Sue responded quickly to get maintenance help. Sue is a pleasure to work with.

Couples Getaway
We had close friends (6 couples) on a weekend getaway. We played yard games and had nightly campfires. The farmhouse is set on 5 acres so there was plenty of room outside and the house had a unique charm. Everything was clean and
fully stocked. The kitchen table was big enough for 12 people to eat dinner and play cards. Torch Lake and Clam Lake are nearby. We enjoyed Dockside bar and grill for dinner and it was fun to watch the boats pass by on the river. Also close to Turtle Creek casino. A great time by all!

Beautiful home with a great close location to the lake
My family of 12 people stayed for 3 nights and the home looked just like the pictures and was very spacious. It was very clean and everything was provided that we could need. We loved how the kitchen was modern and big but the rest of the home stays true to a historical farmhouse. The location is just a short walk to Torch Lake and the marina and restaurant. It was a perfect quiet location just off the lake.

Great property
This property was great. There were 9 of us staying here. The house is massive and we never felt like we were on top of each other. We utilized the porch and fire pit quite often. It was nice and cool giving us opportunity to be outside and enjoy the location.

Annual Family Trip
We chose this property for our annual family trip. We had three families staying here for a week enjoying the beautiful Torch Lake area. The property is a beautifully restored farm house with plenty of room for 12 guests to sleep, eat, and hang out. The large kitchen and dining area was great for cooking group dinners. The wrap around front porch was perfect for sitting and catching up. The kids loved making s’mores in the fire pit and using the tree swing. We had a doe and two fawns visit every morning and we even had a turkey vulture land on the roof one afternoon. This house was perfect for our group and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful base for your lake vacation.

We loved the Victorian Farmhouse! Great for families, especially with young children.
We loved the bedroom for children, the large dining table so we could all be around the table. Our grandchildren loved the tree swing! We sat around the fire every night. We enjoyed the quietness of the secluded
property. Plenty of yard for the kids to run & play. Wonderful porch was a plus also.
Walking distance to Torch Lake and Clam Lake to enjoy the beautiful view! Pontoon rentals right there.
Loved everything about this house and property.

Great place for family vacation!
A roomy historical house for parents, adult kids and grandkids. The grandkids enjoyed the large outdoor yard with swing, large porch, bonfires and playroom upstairs.
House well equipped for all your needs. Was close to marina and cute towns of Alden and Bellaire.

Wonderful vacation with friends at the farmhouse
This house was amazing for our family of friends to vacation at. Lots of amenities and close to the lake access and a marina. We walked to butches and dockside (although there were no sidewalks). We loved the way the rooms were decorated and it really felt like we were living in a home together vs just staying somewhere.

Love this historic farm house!
We stayed here with 2 other families, 6 kids under 6, and we had a blast! We puzzled, made bonfires, went on hikes, sledding and ventured into Traverse City. Luckily we got about 8 inches of snow during our stay so it made it fun to play in the yard.
Everything was provided and we really appreciated the towels, dishes, soap etc. This cute farm house felt like a home away from home!

Fun farmhouse
My husband and I had 10 of our friends join us for boating on torch lake for a long weekend. This house was well equipped, especially the kitchen! We would definitely do it again!

Well maintained, clean and very spacious! Loved the large porch and yard! Enjoyed the fire pit, too.
Celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary with our children & grandchildren. Enjoyed our day on Torch Lake! We shopped at the shops in Alden which were very nice. Also went to Bellaire to eat and enjoyed Shorts Brewery. There were nice shops there as well. All in all it was a very enjoyable time. Regarding the house, the toaster oven wasn’t working. Looks like an element may need replacing. Just a suggestion...it would be nice if you asked guests to fill & run the dishwasher before they depart....getting the dishes done and having to be out by 9;00 makes it difficult to have breakfast and get the dishes done. We’ve stayed at many rental properties and that has been what we’ve always done. For the most part, everything was perfect! Definitely would recommend to friends & family!
